I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

Many of us want to lead an ambitious life, chasing after our goals and achieving great achievements, while some others simply want to lead a fun and fulfilling life. We all have different priorities in life and we too have various wants in this scarcity-filled world that we live in. We tend to lead our lives surrounded by these aspirations and plan accordingly to what we want to do. However, we also do need to take into account the expectations of society and family on us, ensuring that we live up to these expectations. There are bound to be sacrifices that need to be made and we may even be unable to achieve that fun-filled life that we’ve always wished to attain due to societal demands.
It is a common story that in my society, the average student is perplexed with a common crossroad; whether to pursue their art-related dreams and aspirations or to conform to the standard go-to-college strategy and ultimately get a well paying job. Of course there would be students who are able to juggle both, but due to the lack of open doors for the arts, many Singaporean students conform to the usual educational path. Luckily enough, my parents were able to support my piano lessons from a very young age, but it was only during junior college days did i have a passion for playing the piano. My story is slightly different from the rest as it was only at a later date did i find playing the piano as one my passions and this is also when did i truly appreciate that my parents gave me such an opportunity. Many a time, we tend to take for granted the things that we have in life, just as how piano lessons became a norm in my life. However as i took a step back and begin appreciating the littlest of things in life, that is when i understood that some of us may have the passion to pick up the piano or some sort of skill, but do not have the avenue to do so. Some may even have the flair for sophisticated art like oil paintings on canvas, but given the limitations of society and/or family they are unable to even try out their passions once.
As i entered university, my cousin advised me that i should either take a course that i am naturally good in or a course that i enjoyed. Passion is one of the key driving forces that makes us want to work harder and excel. It is through this empowerment in various dedicated individuals, did we get wonderful technologies like the iPhone and Windows platform and sophisticated, serenading music like the Chopin Etudes and Mozart Sonatas. Passion is like a compounding factor. With a fair amount of hard work, it increases our potential exponentially! And the best part, is that we do not get tired of what we are doing and in fact we want more! Such is the case of my passion for playing the piano, this passion brought me to great places that i would have never thought would happen and scarily enough, i do concede that even though i was not doing well in college, it was also this passion that pulled me away from my studies. It got to the point whereby as students diligently studied for their mid year exams, i was happily playing the piano in my own bubble. Having a passion in life sure is empowering, but i did realise that having priorities in life is also important. In such a case, prioritising that i had to fulfil my responsibility as a student before my passion is what i should have done.
Paul Scanlon, a British pastor once said, “A person with many hobbies tends to be an interesting person.” Life should never be mundane, instead, one should fully embrace life and fill it with passion, living for a reason, living for a hope. What exactly moulds us into an interesting person? That is only when we are willing to step out and explore and experience what life has to offer us! We all have differing goals but instead of succumbing to a life of normality, in today’s free society, we have all been given the liberty to choose to lead a fulfilling life. So pick up that passion and lift up your chin! I sincerely believe that life should be a life filled with fun. Even though many of us do not find studying in university or for exams fun, we can always rekindle that passion in us by looking toward our friends, that there is always joy when we are not alone! Everyone has their downtimes when that passion within them seem to extinguish or that flame weakly flickers, but as long as we maintain a positive perception in life, we can revive that passion in us. It is important for us to have direction in our lives and lead a life that is worth living for. I do have lots of hobbies (probably one too many) and a burning passion for every single one! As i reminisce those good times that i’ve experienced so far, i’ve made a ton of mistakes, stupid ones too but i do not regret living this passion-filled life of mine, especially so when i have the privilege to walk it together with my friends!
As we grow older, our priorities and aspirations in life do change, but what is important is how we lead our lives. Even if we have made a ton of mistakes with varying severities in our lives, i believe that all that matters is that we follow our passion and try out new things. We all have different life philosophies, it is only human to err, to make mistakes. But at the end of the day, at least we know that we’ve tried, live life with with no regrets!
Wrote half of this in the middle of the night man....and it's graded xD
