I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

Hehehe well so sorry for not posting anything for the past week, it's been extremely busy for me! The reasons? Piano and nerf. Lmao :P Tomorrow, orientation starts and you must be wondering, why is there orientation/school during summer period?! because my school, University at Buffalo has a trimester curriculum. In overseas, it's four years, but when it comes over to Singapore, partnering with SIM, it shoves the last year into all the summers, so it adds up yeah! does this affect me....nope! but it's kinda freaky that orientation starts so soon! moreover, it's gonna be a stayover. hehe i was looking forward to it being NOT a stayover but whatever. So....quite awkwardly, i'm gonna have to start getting used to study life. Gonna have to bid farewell to my "NO SCHOOL TOMORROW" statement on sundays. :/ but it's a new chapter and it's gonna be awesome! :D but first, orientation. I'll probably have lots to blog about after orientation huh! Interesting is that i only have a pen and a ruler for school. yup, i have yet to buy any other stationery of sorts, and i am thinking my previous stationery since JC days should be kinda gone case..broken engrish ftw.hoho at least luckily i finished my animes, Prince of Tennis and Eureka Seven AO. Though i am left with bout 5 episodes of Beelzebub aaaaand 49 episodes of Eureka Seven. lolol i just started on Eureka seven today :P so what kept me so busy these days huh! other than randomly slothing and stretching around the house, i practiced piano like mad because i have a studio session late may, a day after by birthday :S Just 2 weeks ago, decided to learn a new song and now i'm trying to prep it ready for the sharing session on 31st may! hah now nobody will be spared since ya all know when's mah birthday! >:) talk about packing my bag for orientation...and it's already 9pm. Later i guess. Procrastination ftw~! Now i'm like just piano piano piano, feel so piano, today's weather is piano and my fingers kinda hurt. Not to mention during orientation i wouldnt have the time to practice so i gotta make up for lost time! FINALLY i did a recording for One Summer's Day, one of the two songs that i will be doing for studio, super afraid that i would play a wrong note! >.< but anyway, here it is for your viewing pleasure! haha it's kinda rusty cuz i haven't played the song for some time but just gotta practice :) Oh my God it takes half an hour to upload a video onto youtube.. Other thing i've been doing is nerf! As usual, modding blasters, just that this time all i am doing is spray painting and dropping in the new parts that i bought from xplorer :3 Hehehe that even though my birthday is still some distance away, parents decided to buy my present early! So they asked me what kinda nerf blaster i wanted to buy, i guess because they've seeen me eyeing em all along :P and they said that whatever the price is, they'll pay for it! So wohoo! super super thankful that they're being so generous. what i find extra touching is that they considered what i actually like, and even though dad is kinda against nerfing because he claims it's a waste of money, he still agreed! Indeed nerf is expensive, moreover if you buy high quality precision products for your nerf blasters. And for the first time, they followed me down to xplorer, saw how the parts were being made, and saw me testing and playing around with those blasters over there! yes i do nerf, but what's more fun is xplorer! :D basically, the blasters that we use are very high powered, so you dont have to always end up playing (most of the time) the run and gun style for nerf. Since for nerf blasters, stock ones only achieve those kinda ranges. Whereas with everyone using a high powered blaster, we end up having to form tactics and play accordingly, and suit up! that's fun :P to a large extent, xplorer is more extreme. hehe here you can see my blaster in the midst of painting! and the name of it is going to be fleur blanc :) i was wondering what would happen if i had a typo :P i bought a shotgun grip for the blaster, so it has that extra silver strip across it :D It has since been completed but i'll post about what i did and all in another post next time! Super duper happy that the paintjob turned out like how i would expect it to! After doing numerous tests for spray paint colours and all. Fixed it all back in the evening and did a few test shots, it's working good! :D all ready for next month's xplorer war yeah! :D lol when i first assembled the blaster back in place, i missed out a crucial part so the whole thing didnt work. and the number of screws to remove and screw back later on.... T.T not fun! Pretty pleased with how the paintjob came out, i'll post more photos (not so) soon! and dad came over to me, inspecting my newly painted blaster and he was really interested and caring to find out if everything went alright! :) usually, dad and i have a very 'formal' relationship, whereby conversations are kept minimal and very short. I simply do my part to study, and he helps me out at times with finances. But ever since dad went to church and began reading the bible, he has since become a lot more caring! Somehow he keeps ensuring that everything in my life is proper, the new blaster and all works perfectly fine, asking if i have enough paint, if not he volunteered to help me buy tools like industrial glue and cans of paint, although he has absolutely no clue about em all! he is attending city harvest church too, same as me! i am really touched by how dad keeps on extending a helping hand despite his busy schedule to ensure that i have no lack! :) |
