Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

Finnish huskies and sled dogs are VERY VERY different from singaporean dogs! (wow i just gave all the dogs here a citizenship) it was pretty surprising for myself too! :D despite the harsh conditions of the usual below 30 degrees Celsius we were facing with, the dogs were extremely hyper! very seldom do you see them sitting there and hiding in their kennel and all! instead, you have a bunch of dogs crazily howling away! On this brand new, extremely cold, day-that-doesnt-even-look-day-at-all day, woke up extremely drowsy for some reason, as though my droopy eyelids aren't bad enough, here is a cui picture of a cui ming yang!Mum took this photo of me, with my cant be bothered i'm just too tired face! when i have this face on, it just means that i have no idea whats happening around me. Even after finishing my meal, (THEY DONT HAVE HOT CHOCOLATE/MILO NUUUU) i got into my overall and stuffs! Equally just as dead please. Hehe at least i'm not the only zombified one! (y) Breakfast was pretty much the same, so nothing much worth mentioning about! we headed pretty quickly over to the husky area, though there were hiccups on the way. Tour group leader quite blur, doesnt really know what's going on at times.. due to the size of our group, we couldnt get sleds that are huskies only, hence we got a mixture of sled dogs too! it was kinda disappointing, due to our expectations from photos and all that it would be a full husky team. plus, we've all seen how lovely photos of husky sled dogs are huh!! this one... the dogs are a lot more....erm roughed out? O.o However, before that, we were brought to see the horses. It's their local horses, which seem a lot stronger than our horses xD see the one with a jacket on? that's because its not local, so they're not used to the coldness. Also, i wonder how the horses withstand the cold so well?! The dogs are SO HYPER, you cannot get a still shot of them. like zzzzz just stand still for a moment will ya? its pretty crazy because these dogs can actually run in a pack, for an average of 60-80km!! Ask me run 6-8km more like it. oopsie i always get distracted by youtube videos! halfway through, i would run off and watch yt videos on plastic modelling xD usually disappear for 15-30mins. Not bad right. that's why my blog posts take foreverrrrrrr. Later on, we learnt how to use the husky sled! like frigging serious we are supposed to ride this?! like first time and we are going to control this :O Very simple to use, there is only one brake. full stop. so...basically the dogs will just keep running and running and running! we were split into two groups, hence one went ahead to the husky sled while the other half which was mine, went to see the horses and have some lincon berry juice. wait is it lingon or lincon....should be the latter AHHHH whatever its berry juice! Never liked berries anyway -.- but its a hot drink in a -30 degrees condition! i think it was -35 here.... you will pretty much want to grab anything that is warm~! ^^ You'll feel so cold even the hot metal pipes dont feel hot when you put your hands on em. well at least that's what i did. YOLO. PUP PUP PUPPIESSSSS Wanna know how cold the weather can get? take a look at bro's fringe. This is the first time his fringe looks good man.... *thumbs up* hehehe what happens is that when you breathe out and the hot air rises, it then condenses and freezes on your hair! Well for me, it wasn't so bad, though you can tell my nose is starting to turn reddddd. and you can see how my scarf is starting to have ice forming on it! :D Seriously after experiencing this kind of coldness, frostbite is a certainty, just how bad! Numbness in feet and hands is a certainty, just how long! Caption: Two dogs kissing. well.... i must say the huskies/sled dogs are VERY strong. VERY VERY strong! like with me and bro on the sled, just the last dog is good enough to tug and our sled would actually budge a little, even though i have the brakes tucked nicely into the snow! mum took a video, however i didnt! plus.....my camera was frozen because on the trip there, i was the one driving the sled while on the trip back, it was my brother!
This is the video before my parents flew out of the sled! for going too fast lmao. thats why you need to slow down before going down slopes or around bends xD
Also, here is another clip of how it's like at the turnaround point :> wherever you go, all you see is snow and snow and trees and trees :P in this video, you can also hear how the huskies and sled dogs howl and yelp! you DO NOT hear any of them barking at all. And i never heard before too :O i dont know whether they know how to bark man.... O.o I found it eye opening because you never get a chance to see this kinda dogs howling or yelping in Singapore! Moreover, the dogs over there are a lot roughed-out and thinner. Like they are a lot more skinny and all, unlike Singaporean huskies having such nice fur or so nicely groomed. This is my sled dog team! Err... according to the peeps who took this sled for the previous half, they said my sled dog team is very well behaved! (some dogs actually got into a fight and the local viciously pulled them apart using the cables) so....they pretty much explains how roughed-out these dogs are eh! Aaaaaand this, is how i look like when my toes were totally frozen. Because my feet sweat for quite a lot, coupled with the cold weather, i had freaking ice forming around my feet inside the boots! like NO WAYYYYY. Low and behold, my toes first became numb because of the coldness, then as usual it hurts a little like a sting. THEN, your toes hurt like MAD after being constantly exposed to the cold until you can't really walk properly at all. That, was by far the most horrible moment in my trip xD because my feet were totally frozen to the point i couldnt walk! Well thankfully, it wasn't long before our bus came and dropped us off at Zero Point. (i think its called zero point) Oh mum injured her face (bruise lah) during the husky sled thingy, after you watched that video lolol so she asked me to get a bag of ice! so i went to the counter and got a bag, went outside for snow. lmao. This is how the eatery is like.... hmmm its really filled with people snowboarding and skiing xD as in.... you dont really find tourists around here, and the people coming in from the ski mountain or hill or....all seem so professional! even the small kids :D The only thing i can do on a ski slope is slide down it on my butt perhaps. oh or build a snowman!! Olaf the snowman~! Do you wanna build a snowman~ but seriously i haven't skied in a LOOOOOONG time. but hey! dont you think the place looks so colourful?? :D like wheeee and spacious too (y) hmmm i dont know if they have any fake christmas trees..... but dont you think it feels so good to have such an 'open' building?? like not everything is so cramped up like in Singapore!! and you dont see any of those random "push cart stalls" that are peppered around every darn space you can find in a shopping center. Oh yeah! we didnt do skiing, as in those down slope ones. instead, we went uphill! ahhhh because we ran overtime from the previous husky sleds, we didnt have ample time to learn how to do cross country skiing properly. The trainers thought us the simple basics and we figured out ourselves on the spot, before taking on the route! at first, i was fiddling with the ski poles and all thinking that its like skiing, then i saw how the locals did it and LIGHTBULBBBB! uh yeah we had a quick meal... no choice! Hey hey, i have no idea what am i doing with my camera while it's upside down k!! Here are some photos of the guides teaching us how to ski! Erm though frankly speaking i didnt find them that helpful xD Dont you think we all look the same as all of us are wearing identical overalls?! As you can see, there are tracks already marked out for us! so you simply slot your skiis in and off you go!! remember how i told ya i tried it like its skiing? well i was wrong! instead, you dnt even need your ski poles seriously. How to do cross country skiing? just treat it like ice skating and off you go!! You'll be surprisingly fast i tell ya. poles for you to balance or going up slope. i have no idea how they came up with such a sport. (its an actual winter olympic sport like whutttt) OKAY RUSH RUSH I GOTTA GO BACK TO CAMP. WE BOARDED THE CABLE CAR WHICH LED US BACK TO OUR HOTEL STRAIGHT. i mean its a ski resort right??? so after that, we had DINNER or was it lunch... i think dinner. sigh at this kinda time, you cant really tell what meal's what. Well...... we had some tour around some weird exhibition... not worth mentioning. after that, NORTHEN LIGHTSSSSSS. hehehe my camera managed to capture some. We also walked up the ski slope to get a better view!! only the young ones ventured up though. BECAUSE WE CAN. hehehe jkjk but really, its fun climbing up a ski slope in the night with your butt facing the northern lights! ah but to just sit there and admire the phenomenon, while letting my camera work so hard snapping photos away....what better life can there be? as usual, im sizing em up to original size! PIXELS GALORE And as usual, i leave you with some random photos! :) Scroll down more for words! On the other hand, plastic modelling wise.... im still working on my rapidstrike! yeah the full auto nerf gun (y) like how aweshummmm. too bad i have a ton of paint work to do, let alone all the soldering of circuits. SIGHHHH. maybe it's about time i brought home my gundam model kits from camp :3 based on the number of kits that i have, i'll probably never finishing building them. Though i am considering going pro and getting myself an airspray! It's SOOOOO gonna help me man, but i have no space at home :l yes i still keep my table in the "after A levels condition" because i don't want to forget what's it like, how much hard work i actually put in for a levels. sheeeesh i so so so want to go back to building gundam models like as though it's mah job xD too bad it's never gonna happen! lmao because my post is late, ALL THE BEST TO THE PEEPS WHO JUST TOOK THEIR O LEVEL RESULTS. as in....hope they get into their school of choice!! what's more important is being able to really enjoy the school life that they're gonna embark on in future. :) though i cant comment on polytechnic life because i haven't been through poly, i must say, my JC life is by far the BEST period in my life. Even though it's hard at times, but i've never regretted the amount of fun, and studying that i had together with my class, as well as my fellow debaters. i couldn't have asked for a better JC life, really. :) |
