I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

Slow moving sunday, sometimes it feels kind of pointless blogging because its just my life, and even though it is interesting at times, a lot of times does feel like its really boring. In my opinion, it's an interesting blog if it covers something interesting like travel blogs or food blogs. But I don't have the capital for a travel blog because I squander my money on a diverse range of items and I am too fat to actually have a food blog. I am currently trying to find out how to make my life more interesting, although i am pretty sure it's just about adjusting my outlook on things. I am currently listening to Norway Jazz music and typing out a blog post at a St Marc's outlet sipping on the usual cafe latte. There is this thing about coffee that somehow perks me up for the day. So much so that my day feels very dead until i have my first cup of coffee which would be right now 2pm on a way-too-hot Sunday. It is like as long as you don’t have that cup of coffee, your life has a slumber Instagram filter throughout. *edit* After finishing the blog post, the sleepiness have kicked back in the coffee has drained from the cup.
Gazing at the teacup lights, freedom doesn’t seem so much of a good thing when you have 4 weeks worth of music journals to catch up on! The past weeks been pretty intense playing catch up with school work although i have failed to catch up just yet and don't see myself catching up to it any time soon. Amidst the busy catch-up, acne-cultivating hectic schedule, I took photos of my friends in school and got pretty decent results! It didn’t look promising at first as many a time, whenever i tried to change the angles, school still looked like school. Wish school was more photogenic but it seems like they paid the architects peanuts. Yup, after being a student for some time in SIM, I have chosen to put the blame on the school and not the architects. The photoshoot was really disappointing initially and it is REALLY hard to find a good shot in school and I was really hoping for a change in perspective that people would not actually realize that it's school, or the usual Instagram places in Singapore, like the orchard gateway bridge. In the end, we did manage to get some pretty nice shots i would say! It all worked out in the end. Phew!
Apart from the breakout that I am facing right now due to the increased stress levels and lack of sleep, life has been extremely fulfilling and encouraging, especially when I went over to MAAD fair this month. My friends make my uni life really fun and seeing the inspirations and creativity from the MAAD fair really keeps me going on. I do wonder how do I actually improve and make the product experience better for customers that they will be keen on purchasing my products. Not that I want to earn money but rather I want to be able to say that yes I understand how to appeal to the customers and provide a more enticing and pleasing experience for them. Moreover given the materials that I am working with for Thumbforlego, my prices end up being on the high side which is what strongly discourages people. But it’s a craft! It’s a handmade craft that takes lots of time and effort and innovation to think of such an idea. People tell me explicitly that they like the idea and they love my crafts but I guess sometimes I look towards my amount of sales as a unit of measure of how much people like my products. Although not an advisable way to look that way, but it happens! Just can’t wait for the December holidays to come to say that I am finally done with university and I get to travel! Okay back to the main topic, making sure that I don’t go Kardarshian and say that this year is a year of realization, it’s been a grossly fruitful year in my opinion having seen how my photography skills have improved. They have come a tedious way of watching youtube videos, reading reviews and lots of practical practicing. Surely there is still so much to improve in but one step at a time is better than taking no steps at all. Even if the step is wrong, as long as we learn and can pick ourselves up, that is good enough. Speaking of picking up, thumbforlego.
Going from undergraduate to unemployed by year end really set me thinking on what do I want to do in future. Even though I have a target industry and some jobs that I am keen on doing, life doesn’t always go your way and sometimes you just got to accept what is in front of you. Which is partly why I am now practicing my photographing and photo editing skills now too. So this week I came across this term “anamorphic format” okay that was two words. But that is the kind of stretched out film effect that you see in cinemas that make you feel that you are more immersed into the film or movie, with different shaped bokehs and lens flares. I have always envied cinematic effects as they look so good and are yet so damn expensive to start on and requires extensive practice to get the “feel” of the clip out. Here is an example of a really nice cinematic short film! Of course I do wish that i can achieve such a standard but am still far from that! Learning really never stops doesn’t it? I can still say so for now but after say 15 years of settling into a job, maybe not?
