I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

I learn something new everyday! Pretty much. Into my twelfth roll of film, i make a really bad mistake, using the wrong ISO film. ugh. Its one of the banes of film photography i feel, that once you start cranking through the ISO200 film for outdoor shots, you’re pretty much stuck with it for the whole roll until you’re done. Which means you can’t swap from outdoor to indoor shots so easily. Unless you are using iso100-400 film that lomography sells… at least thats what i think? i don't even know how their film works. But so far, i am getting really nice shots from film and i am really learning a lot as to how to capture light nicely. By the way, the higher the iso number, i.e. 100 —> 1000, the more sensitive the film is to light, thus higher ISO film are meant for outdoor shots. Digital cameras on the magical green auto function button just does everything for you, making it extremely versatile as compared to film cameras.
I think my blog has the randomest of things, from replica guns to nerf blasters to photography, but my blog is here to tell the story of my life. What each chapter of my life entails, the story i lead, aside from the clockwork school/assignments schedule.
Here is the difference of having proper light and having insufficient light, with ISO200 film.
Proper lighting:
Insufficient light:
“Then why not use ISO400 film for everything??” some may question. That’s because using such a high ISO film outdoors will only result in overexposure, making your photos turn out wayyyy too bright. Just imagine as you toggling the brightness setting on Instagram all the way to the brightest. But sometimes, low light along with the right shutter speeds gives me some nice lucky shots that i discover after developing the negatives.
Film photography is really fun because you really need to understand light and how to take the photos, although sometimes it'll feel quite shitty if you enter National Art Gallery only to realise that the lighting isnt as bright as Art Stage. Lesson learnt, always be armed with different ISO films and remember to plan ahead and learn how to judge light better haha. Afterall, life is one huge learning lesson so there's always so much to learn and discover!

I think this is the first Valentines Day that I gave roses to a girl?? Excluding those Ferrero Rocher roses that I used to fold in school. Wow its been quite long since i last blogged! i've been extremely busy trying to make sure that this valentines was a success and before this weekend, there was Chinese New Year too! Its also the first chinese new year that i did not wear new shoes. Because i wanted to change the shoes. Of which was a nice change and i learnt quite a lot about taking care my leather boots. This valentines, as i prepared flowers for my valentine, I planned way in advance to give her a home-grown bouquet of flowers! Midway asking friends if that was a good idea or to buy a bouquet. Making one would definitely look less appealing as one that was bought, but it seems much cooler to make your own! like..."why not grow your own?!" And so after much deliberation and last minute planning, i bought the bouquet of roses in case the flowers i wanted to grow wouldnt turn out good. So the bouquet above is a contingency plan! of course if it works out, my valentines gets TWO bouquets! yay! So in the end, i gave both bouquets as you can see that the second one turned out good! For the record, she LOVES the bouquets!!! All the photos were taken haphazardly as I rushed through my friday picking up the flowers and making the second bouquet of homemade flowers. Quite happy that the bouquet turned out really nice and it was a hit on mum's Facebook post! Even the photo that i took didnt come out focused as i was so hard pressed for time that even with driving around, I had absolutely no break after my friday lesson! it was particularly hectic as i squeezed messages in between with my friend Alicia as to how to prepare my Valentine's Day gift. It was really something new! Aaaaand the valentines day gift is the one below! A Totoro shaped fruit tart all homemade! :D and after making the tart, i gave her the Totoro cookie cutter :P it has another piece for the imprints on it such as the eyes and the tummy! The Totoro tart was particularly difficult to make because i screwed up big time, instead of putting it into the freezer, i put it into the oven, so guess what got burnt. haha i also added sugar in when i wasn't supposed to do so, making the biscuit layer extra sweet! oops. This valentines was a really really fun valentines weekend!! :D Best weekend ever!
Let's all always treasure our loved ones. :)
