I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.

I just had church camp!! and oh man i am so tired out! Do you feel tired out after attending camp? like post camp tiredness. I dont know, but on the last day of camp, we only had half the day of camp, but i was energetic as hell! which was kinda weird isnt it?! and now i am reeling in from the tiredness, especially after sunday service. Camp was really REALLY fun and it was a great time of bonding, i made such great friends at camp too!! and man you know why camp was tiring?? because the theme was crossfit T.T which basically is an exercise regime, like insanity workout. so we saw lots of muscle aches during the nights after the days activities! The camp started on thursday and lasted till saturday afternoon. We then went for sunday service as per normal. It was filled with soooo many physically intensive exercises, i cant imagine how camp would have been for me if i didnt go to the gym! ah but anyway, during the 2 weeks coming up to camp, i fell really ill due to being overworked, not having sufficient rest. i had the sickness combo i like to call it, flu, cough, sinus, headaches. They always come together for me! and if it is really bad, fever will pay me a visit too! As such, i couldnt really gym much... had to miss 1 drama practice for that too as i tried to give it my all. But end of the day, i say all my efforts are worth it!! the drama was a success!Sorry for the photos resolution as all of them are taken from whatsapp! oh yes speaking about drama, it was my first time ever acting in drama! i've always heard about the countless hours of practice that goes into it, the last minute changes and the late nights but i never knew that it would be this tiring!! we spent consecutive late nights at SMU prepping and prepping, and there's always so many last changes in the script, it was quite shocking! I dont even know where allt he script ideas come from O.O i cant even think of any?! i still remember after the first night session, everyone being so contented from the awesome session that we had, there was night games which was a bit of a drag, but soon after we had time to wash up and sleep! Well for the dramatists, instead of sleeping, we had drama practice. There and then at 2am, we started practice. One character had a whole revamp in role, from being a cheerleader to becoming a geeky drama person. No like she had to act that she was in the drama club while in drama yes. The script itself changed so much i was like "is this even ppossible?!?!" Thank God my lines didnt change at all, only the scene progression changed for me which didnt quite affect me. PHEW. For the whole camp, i only had one thing on my mind and that was drama. Becuase after countless practices, i still found it quite hard to invoke that "dad vibe" in me! I was acting as a poor uncle who adopted a son, And it's even weirder when your "son" is older than you in reality. and taller. Everything felt like it was an absolute mess, everything was super rushed, we didnt have time to do a proper full run through before the drama itself and the script was still in a very raw state. Not that it was like that all the while, but because of the last minute changes in the script. Mind you that's like 2am in the night before. We still played the games and activities for camp, and in the night was our drama performance. After taking a quick bath, we did a fast forward rough run through of the drama at a secluded corner as everyone else entered the hall and settled down. Came back during the first segment, the second segment is drama. Watching the drama, you would have no idea, absolutely NO IDEA how we are actually even performing on stage, really thank God that it was all so well done despite the rushed preparations of ours, that all our sacrifices really paid off in the end. Psychoing myself during the drama, i am glad that i managed to play out that fatherly role although i noticeably almost dropped my "wife" HAHAHA but man drama is really fun. Really. Looking back at all the late nights at SMU, trying to figure out lines that are funny for the audience, thinking of what kind of character should be played out by individuals, trying to get into the role of being a father/uncle, praise God it all worked out in the end, That it was all worth it :) and like what gamers would say: WURF. Of course, camp would not have been as awesome if it is not for this team, FITMARK!!! We would all know how it's like to play games and all, cheering with your team, so i'll skip that! Bonding with them was definitely really fun, we've been such a great team together, winning first place for all except one of the game stations on the first day!! It was amazing how we bonded together despite being from different cell groups and not seeing each other often in service. In fact, i didnt really know that many people before hand! Many of us took turns to rara the team, keeping a strong bond throughout camp!
Even when the camp came to a close, we still spat water at each other! sounds gross but only those who went for ETEncounter will understand why we did this! Thank you guys for making camp Encounter such an amazing one, and of course thank you to the committee for all the hard work planning out the whole camp!!

It's been a pretty crazy weekend, with lots of events going on, it sure was hectic and i am still reeling in from the crazy timetable of mine! its pretty unforgiving but whatever. Saturday morning was spent having brunch with my family, LIKE FINALLY. minus my brother as he got charged with SOL in BMT. Soon after i rushed down to catch the autograph session with Kunio Okawara. Yeah i was one of the 100 early birds to purchase the SG50 RX78 model and managed to get his autograph!!! So glad that i am able to hold such a valuable piece now :) soon after, i had a birthday dinner with Elyana and company before rushing home, sleeping for an hour and rushing for Xplorer War! i shall cover everything else in my next post, this post will purely be on Gundam Docks! I guess you can call this part 2?There are really a crazy lot of people streaming through the Gundam Docks fair, with many onlookers at the upper floor too! This is at the basement of Ngee Ann City just in case you dont know. The event will also be running for an extended period, with massive slashing of prices there! so if you have been craving for that PG gundam, my advice is get it here!!! a 20% discount is a massive killer off the price of a PG that is well over $300 aye? but beyond that, i wasnt so keen on the models as i have grabbed whatever i would have wanted on the previous day that i came. Instead, i was here to see the mechanic designer of gundam, Mr Kunio Okawara!!! You can pretty much call him the father of Gundam, inventing the very first gundam, the RX78 which is also used as the SG50 model kit! here, i managed to get a close shot of the man himself all thanks to my 35x zoom camera! hmm also, i took 2 videos of him describing the design of the SG50 variant. The side that wasn't published. Many of us would already know the inspiration and train of thought when he designed the SG50 model but he shared more in-dept in this interview session! There were also metal build gundam kits up on display, which looked really sweet, and would definitely be a great addition to your collection! especially if you do not have the time or expertise to painstakingly assemble and paint up a model kit of your own. :) this is probably the most detailed you can get it to be out of the box! Once again, i post this picture of the porter merchandizes!! i absolutely loved them when i first saw them on day one and have been eyeing them ever since. Well now, thanks to my parents, i am able to eye them at home!! i bought the red zeon wallet for myself, replacing the old Braun Buffel passport holder as my wallet for so many months. Legitly speaking, they make really REALLY good wallets for men especially if you hold little cards and want quick access to your cash. Say hello to Porter Label oh yeah!! I am so happy that my parents bought the red laptop bag for me wohoo!!!! which then goes perfectly with my wallet now, i couldnt have wished for anything better than this man :) absolutely absolutely in LOVE with it! the colour is so lush and nice, and it can become a backpack too! tried and tested yesterday :) Really really lucky and blessed to have such parents man Among the other things up for sale were also display artworks done by Kunio Okawara, sme of them brought back old memories of gundam in me! I found the gallery particularly interesting, although people were mainly crowded at the merchandises. Few people were spotted at the gallery observing and appreciating his part artworks! its pretty amazing how he can hand draw all of these!!?! Here, you can see a portrait of the SG50 gundam that he designed. How to tell that the earth federation forces will always be loved more than the zeon gundam mobile suits.... the EFSF Rx78 that many gundam fans will be clearly aware of! As compared to the poor Zeon Zaku that seems to be missing out on all the camera flashes :( I dont know but ever since young, i have always preferred the earth federation forces. However it was only in recent years that i really fell in love with the zaku mobile suits :) they actually do look a whole lot awesome too yknow! There is a whole story behind the Earth Federation and Sig Zeon Forces. Of which you really have to read up and watch the animes to find out more. There's at least over a hundred Gundam Anime episodes for you to watch, each one spanning different eras. But what is most interesting is the ideologies that they deal with in the anime. It's pretty much covering more on the worries of the future, when the earth begins to run out of natural resources, etc etc. Weaponry in the future, ideals, all of these stuff are discussed and depicted in the anime! So if you have the time and passion to watch anime, i strongly strongly recommend watching all of gundam anime episodes, starting off with Gundam Seed! Here are the little snippets of the interview with the man, and i only uploaded the portion when he talked about his inspiration of the SG50 model kit! the rest....i have the rest of the interview in my computer xD Ironically, there's a mercedes car up on display on ground floor as Kunio Okawara shares on his inspiration of the SG50 model. and of course, the model kit that was signed by him OH YEAH Friday, June 05, 2015
After celebrating my 23rd birthday, i was and still ma very busy with drama and school! But still thank God for a great time of relaxation, simply chilling and enjoying life :P well only for that day and then the rest of it i am back being busy again. My everyday schedule is pretty much as such: waking up at 10am before prepping and making my journey toschool for my 12 o'clock class before heading to the gym when my class ends at 2.30pm! then soon after working out and sweating it all out while contemplating if i should start taking protein, i make my way down for drama practice! it lasts till close to midnight usually so by the time i reach home, i'm pretty dead tired alright! and the cycle simply repeats - except for wednesdays and fridays when i get to rest :D i seem to be always complaining about my busy life -_-"' but it is great to be occupied i guess, plus it keeps you always moving so time passes a whole lot faster - for better or for worse lol.On thursday, i decided to head on down to the Gundam Docks at Ngee Ann City!! it was so so cool and its a really huge event! sometimes i wish nerf has the same kind of thing too, that'll be so cool? There are so many gigantic models of gundams up for display and one of it that is on sale at a whopping $9000!!!! Honestly, i think it is worth 9000 although after telling that to my friend, he said finding space to put it is another challenge haha! I went really early in the morning, however i had a test later on at 12pm so i had to rush off soon after drooling at all the prices and merchandises available there! One thing's for sure, i will definitely be going back there on sat again as i got the autograph ticket!! Yes i am one of the first 100 customers hehe i was pleasantly surprised when they told me it was a guranteed autograph as i thought that it was a chance of having the autograph only. but still so so glad that i managed to get it! along with lots of gunpla kits! :D Here you can still see the early morning queue, it was pretty long already, especially if you compare it to the Gundam Expo 2014? since this has way more coverage on social media and all too. Sadly, i didnt manage to take lots of photos of the place due to time constraints, and i will be going back there again on sat! but by then, it's bound to be mad crowded. I planned to go down today actually but I woke up late xD BECAUSE I CAN i know everyone is having school holidays...but i still have summer school alright. Among the gunpla kits that are having their prices slashed, many made in japan products are also being sold at the exhibition! so do come on down and see if there is anything nice that suits your expensive taste buds xD They're pretty pricey, since its mastermind from japan but still worth every cent!! :) They also do have exclusive stuff like this limited edition clothes hanger, although i doubt anyone is gonna use it~ it comes with the limited ed t shirt that you buy, but you got to be willing to pay the steep price of $100! Okay now blogging up till here, i am really REALLY tempted to go down now and snap more photos! so i think i'll quickly rush up this blog post before heading down to snap some photos!! although i can only do so with my phone as i lent my camera out...so i wouldnt really be able to snap nice photographs! I am really REALLY tempted by these bags, the colour just looks so lush!! They are porter bags as you can see their iconic bag label, and its a collaboration with gundam so it looks really good!! but i've already spent a bomb :( so i'll probably give this one a miss. I took photos of the spoils of my shopping spree yesterday and you'll probably agree i shouldn't spend anymore! HAHA just a fun pic!! here, you can see this speed builder has already built 3 of the SD gundams! yknow the one in build fighters, those green in colour ones... i forgot their name xD Here is the feature video of Gundam Docks in Singapore!
omg the spoils of my shopping spree :D :D i am pretty happy with what i got!! 2 each of the gundam docks kits, 3 SG50 kits, the mastermind-gundam shirt and hanger, there's a special mug too! and the gundam ez link card :D THE BEST PART OF THE EVENT IS THIS: the customer service! It's organised by takashimaya, and the staff there provide unparalled service!! they were all very helpful, courteous and i find it amazing at the service standards. Most of them are adults ripened with age but yet they still am so gladly helping and ensuring that everything goes on smoothly. I dont know but from personal experience, many grown ups tend to have pride standing between them and good service. There was always staff on the constant lookout of ensuring good crowd control, i was also ushered very politely a couple of times; when i was queueing to pay, there was another side of cashiers and an available cashier, didnt see it but they were kind enough to smile and usher me. Another instance is them asking the people to queue up for the collection of gifts and freebies, it was very well done. I saw the other models of SG50, like the mega size variant but after asking the staff and having a wonderful conversation, I realised those were not up for sale and they were very very friendly! Maybe also because there wasnt much of a crowd and nobody was busy clambering for the model kits and all. My one and a half hour experience there on thursday was very smooth, cheerful and definitely left me with a smile, while i rushed off to school (nearly late) for my test! |
