Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

wohoo! spring semester has finally come to a close! but just like how everything should end with a blast, we have finals incoming! next week to be exact. Which....i am obviously not looking forward to. What is more pressing is that i dont feel stressed over finals yet?? which is gross. Any student now WILL be studying and gearing up for our last burst to secure those grades that we want.but somehow this weekend i feel more carefree? hmmm i really have no idea why i feel this way, but it could be due to all the project works and assignments being done! now all i am left with is a blogging assignment, nope not this blog, but another one that we had to write on for our module, Introduction to the internet.sorry guys but the videos are in portrait this time round! by the way if you haven't tried snapchat, do go give it a try! its a pretty fun and goofy app i must say :) oh and it eats up lots of your data plan too. Yesterday was great! ABT and body combat oh yeah :P ABT=Abs butt thigh. It was enjoyable punching around and losing those fats and sweating it out! Frankly enough, i do dread going for ABT because i see it as a torture session, its never easy working out your core muscles and still be able to say that "yeah everything is fine" man it hurts?! but thats when you know that you're having an awesome workout; when your muscles are screaming. that's a video of kick boxing, not body combat. But i learnt quite a bit in kick boxing lesson that can be applied in body combat! especially posture :) Its been some time already for me working out and all, used to do quite a lot of that until i got this knee injury during NS then everything just slumped. But now, getting back into shape! Although much slower than when i was in BMT. but whatever, at least now i do feel more active, more 'alive' for my daily activities! whether is it school or church or events, you'll just feel more upbeat because of the blood flowing! not that people who dont exercise dont feel their blood moving, but you get what i mean! aaaaand for all the plastic modelling and crafting and whatever modifying that i do, this is the table that i work on! Now, its really clean because i just cleaned it and tidied it up! Before that, when i have all the materials and all on my desk, hoho it gets real messy. in fact, the drawer to the left stores lots of handy tools and materials that i commonly use, this includes epoxy and painters tape. and i have every thing classified, whether nerf or not into my bookshelves. 2 shelves for books, about 5 shelves for materials. And that excludes the other bookshelves that display my plastic models. I think i do take up a lot of space.... aaaaaaand i finally gone to a nerf war with my new vest, and i am totally digging it! Previously i did mention the transition of my vests, well this is probably going to be with me for a very long time if not forever! its an Emerson AVS in Kryptek Mandrake camo. With a yote hydration pack behind. I'll go through my loadout some time later after testing it out a couple more times. Thursday, April 23, 2015
Meh i dont seem to be able to rotate the photo after uploading -.- annoying. but anyway, sorry for the late post guys!! i've been busy submitting reports for uni, its just a really bad time for uni kids now, with everyone handing in reports and gearing up for finals. But i am glad that it also means everything is coming to an end once again and summer is coming! although we have no summer break. i am glad that today is the last day of school, tired of always rushing around and all. Like sometimes you just need a break to just sit down and relax and i hope i do get that break real soon! Today just feels like a nua day of simply chilling.
I've started making more of these thumbdrives again, gonna test the market to see who is keen on buying such thumbdrives and at what price. :) lotsa things to iron out, but they're not gonna come cheap because of the materials i am using! But anyway, i hope they'll sell off at a steady pace because i need to find time to make these xD
Now that project submissions are over, i have 2 weeks to study for my finals as well as slack around for a while eh! Desperately in need of a break! Recently, i've also finally gotten a proper vest to nerf with. I was using the standard issue iLBV from the SAF to play all the while. I honestly think the iLBV is okay, pretty comfortable and don't see why all the negativity over this vest.
until recently switching to the GI Joe vest, sure looks hella cool but it wasn't able to fully cater to my needs.
and then now I am using the AVS vest, adaptive vest system vest.
and i am donned out in kryptek Mandrake camo!
I'll need to take a photo of my new loadout. but i am really happy with the new one and still adapting and testing it out to better suit my needs when playing :) i havent uploaded the gopro videos of me playing nerf war last saturday night, but i hope to do it asap when i reach home tonight! I should be reaching home only by around...8pm tonight? yeah left the house at 8am, reach home at 8pm. While doing so, i have my Hazard 4 bag that is always by my side, never fails to store whatever i need for the whole day! from gym stuffs to school stuffs, even my laptop fits in comfortably with my papers tucked away neatly too. and i always have a mini nerf blaster, the foldable mini mischief, I find it kinda fun that i have school, i have church commitments and piano too, but also have my nerfing hobby. Right and a ton of other hobbies too -_- that mum thinks is expensive. and then during summer i will test market for my thumbdrivessss.
Dont forget to set it to 1080p yeah! erm this is just one of the plays, quite a lot of standstills for this war i think? and lots and lots of travelling, which is why i didnt upload the rest of the videos.
Why do i enjoy nerfing so much? I guess its derived from my love for shooting games. There are two kinds of FPS (first person shooter) gamers, one that enjoys the cartoonish and goofy way of gaming with games like Team Fortress 2 and then you have gamers who prefer realism more, such as Battlefield 4. I have played both games before, periodically going back to TF2. Of course there are popular ones like L4D2 that everybody loves playing cooperative together. I cant go back to battlefield 3 and 4 because i got a global ban (and a quite serious one) on accusations of hacking when i didnt -.- and getting myself unbanned was just too cumbersome aaaaaand very VERY problematic. It's a wonder how i paid for BF3 and 4, paid hefty amounts but still got banned for playing legit. #life. But yes i do pay for games because i believe in paying for something that is well-made. For the record, i am now playing Payday2 and Counterstrike GO. oh and League of Legends too. But playing these games more for just having fun, unlike the more "serious" mode for Battlefield. I go more for realism, thats why i am now into nerfing and inclining more towards the mil-sim side! Although its fun and all, but its really expensive i feel! so got to save up from time to time before i can make any shipments or whatsoever.
Now is the time after project submissions and before finals, everything feels so relaxed. I guess this is the calm before the storm?
Anyway, i chanced upon this really funny vine. No offence to any Muslims out there, have a good laugh!

Sorry for the late post guys!! i've been really busy with video editing lately and catching up on personal assignments from my uni after doing up the project works. We still have more project works coming so do expect me to pull my usual stunt of suddenly MIAing :P Currently at Starbucks now, City Hall to be exact. Its a Friday, currently 1.24am as i am writing this. Yes its midnight and its pretty crowded i must say. for some weird reason....like hey guys, aren't you tired out from a whole week's of work and that now you finally have the chance to rest but nope you are chilling at Starbucks at this late hour? I dont know, maybe people have their different versions of chilling i guess. As always, i am tired out, trying to find more time to rest up and recuperate as i am on the verge of falling darn sick. Am currently down with flu and cough, with a topping of random headaches. Pretty normal for me i would say, given the situation that i am in on working hard and hoping to score well for tests... still some bit of last minute studying due to bad time management on my end. And maybe i have too many things on my plate too... i dont know! on one hand, it feels like i can add in more on my already packed plate? but yet taking some off might seem as the best way to better cope. I've taken the choice of having everything on my plate as it is and working around it and adapting. :) Starbucks drinks really do perk me up as i study though! somehow i feel they are more effective than my humble cup of milo at home. Guess it is just a mentality thing. Starbucks fan here! I attribute my fats to starbucks. they all belong to starbucks :P Anyway, for my group project, we did a video on what happens if we are fully addicted, enveloped by cyberculture. Yes i did a project on cyberculture, it was a 30minute group presentation, of which i think i did pretty well.... i hope at least! My portion was on the future of cyberculture which to me sounded boring at first, but as i researched on it, it actually seems pretty interesting! feel like posting my findings here, but that will make this post too wordy and i don't exactly have the time to do so....im just updating my personal blog now! Hope you enjoyed the video okay!! it took me quite some bit of shamelessness to go about filming the video!! although too bad lots of the takes that we did were eventually taken out because we felt that it didnt really add much to the video sigh! but still i am glad that the videos and all are done, and of an acceptable standard to me :) Fun run of Xshot, with patrick! We wanted to do like a alternate thing whereby i shot the target then he will shoot the next one, but we kinda failed lol. aaaaaand there's a ton of misses too whoops xD but it was all for fun anyway! who in the right frame of mind will wear a helmet and run competitively for xshot man? XShot is actually a shooting competition organised by Xplorer, we play nerf but do dabble into milsim too. Airsoft isn't allowed in Singapore so this is the closest that we can get. We have to run around a certain course and hit the targets in a certain order. It sure is tiring as hell, but its for the fun of it! Although if you ask me, shooting your friends with foam darts in a nerf war is definitely beats hitting targets and racing against the clock. xD oh how i wish i could be back there again and shooting it out, enjoying myself and not caring about schoolwork and all but nope! We still have projects to clear, a fair bit of personal assignments and finals as always when we cross the finishing line of this spring semester :) I just played Soccerbump!! Or bubblebump its called haha was the video/photographer, so i do have quite some bit of footage! although i wouldnt be able to post much here just yet :/ gotta get back to my work! MY NEXT POST: SOCCERBUMP. Half of theodre's run |
