Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

OOPS sorry for the late post guys!! i've been really busy at school these days that i dont really have time to do blogging! Chinese new year period has come and gone! :(( hope it has been a wonderful break for everyone though :) for me, it was a much needed break to catch up on rest, although i only managed to squeeze in very little catching up as most of it was spent fruitfully, with family. and then low and behold now there is this blue/black or white/gold dress hitting the internet by storm. well i see it black and blue, whereas mum sees it white and gold! dad sees green. how in the world did green even come into the picture....? for those who havent seen the photograph, here it is!link to original tumblr post well while searching for that image, i found this OMG SO NICEEEEE idk if i can actually achieve that blue...pretty crazy but hey! that's probably going to be my next hair colour....? but that's like going back to my previous version.... which was this: close enough?? but if my hair is longer then that's kinda cool! :P may very well revert to this kinda hairstyle i guess~ that is if i want to go black! honestly, life hasnt been very interesting!! i am still waiting for the shipments of my new army gear so i can all gear up sweetly and be ready for another nerf war but other than that....its been lectures after lectures, hitting the gym and working out. although i can imagine that when my hair fades to purple, i am going to look like this: which....i dont know. isnt too bad right? by the way, if you are wondering what my hair colour is now, its more of a dark purple and blue...? mixed with greens and brown. Well that's because my hair colour is ever changing :P i need to really catch up on my schoolwork though!! the project assignments and all are beginning to pile up already :) ouch seems like i've injured my neck ah great. Anyway, hectic life is back for me! its quite a pain in the ass trying to squeeze everything in my schedule and trying to rush for everything. It's like i'll try to achieve the most within that same amount of time...i think that is called being monochronic? dont remember! I had a random dream last night, dreamt that i was still in unit life in the army and then i dreamnt that i had to redo basic military training. Must be because i was thinking about how bro was doing in camp. for some weird reason, i was put in a platoon that had people who came from unit and we were in different berets lmao. but it was kinda cool reliving the BMT life xD i guess to some extent i do miss army life -.- afterall, that was a time of slacking, you are in camp, get to slowly enjoy breakfast at 8,9am sipping coffee and having a nice breakfast before heading off to complete the day's work. Not to mention you dont have to pay for lunch, can chill around in the night have a bunk to relax, not to mention time to exercise and yet still able to draw a pay, what else could be better?! as compared to now, having to pay school fees which is a hefty amount, lunch in school CAN cost a bomb, unless we run over to Ngee Ann Polytechnic to eat, assignment and project work deadlines to meet and an endless time spent on the road traveling. and i still need pocket money to survive. what is this. whining session over. speaking of army, you guys should definitely catch Ah boys to men 3!! haha also, i managed to take photo with the cast of ah boys to men!! :P aaaand i was also helping them out with the managing of crowds! wohoo! BE JELLY and i realised lobang king is actually very VERY thin now?!!? he wasnt this thin in the first 2 movies i feel! but really cheers to another successful local production, it is something uniquely singapore, and interesting for the family to watch! i find it is really good to shed light on the different aspects of national service, it's just something that bonds guys together. just like how i make lots of guy friends xD we are able to click so well because of sharing our stories in national service! everyone has a different story to tell :) although there are lots of scripted drama in this movie, but it still does depict to a certain extent one aspect of national service :) There is also the making of Ah Boys to Men 3, i'll put the video below! :) Really, i dont really know what to blog about this time round because life seems to be really boring! although really thank God for having overly cooperative project work group members, with eberyone chipping in the effort! I'll showcase the project video only after we are done presenting. i still have 2 more blog posts to go for my other computer science blog and...test to study for -.- of which i am really REALLY lazy to start off. Home sure does feel a lot quieter now that bro is no longer at home gaming. if i am not playing any computer games, the house is really quiet! like now. I dont really have much time to play computer games these days...which is quite a pity. Not that i fancy computer games that much, as compared to before, but rather now i just have so much less time to chill and relax. I just ordered more Kryptek equipment!! just hoping that they can reach real soon.....i want to see how the whole thing looks after i have received everything! ordered some helmet cover, magazine holders, cant remember what other gears i ordered, but i'm pretty sure its gonna look real good when it's done! i just so wish i can go back and nerf with these guys :) credits to GC for helping to do up the video!! This is the first time so many people are recording for this war, and it was a really experiential one. Just glad that i managed to participate, now i cant wait for the next one! and thank God i still have lots of spare darts leftover :P
i just realised i totally forgot to blog about bro enlisting. LOL YES HE ENLISTED. AND IS STILL IN CONFINEMENT. i'll probably do a blog post tomorrow if time permits :)

gosh since when am i actually not busy huh?! anyway, i will be updating/editing my previous post, National Service: My Story (BMT) soon.... bro is actually enlisting tomorrow, so God knows how he is going to fare in it! xD i just hope he comes back home more responsible enough to clean up his own area zzzz. Now he's like a sack of potatoes. Harsh words. I enlisted in 2012, same batch, February 22 i believe. wow i just realised how long the national service post already is! idk i might still update that later on, will inform when i have done so :) in the mean time, i've actually updated my other blog! School life has been extremely busy, and given we now have project works to clear, i have no idea how i am going to find time to clear all of my work while keeping up with my schedule! but there are also those fun times in school too, so its not all that boring yeah :) i am just so SO SO glad that chinese new year is coming!!! i'm not excited for the celebrations, slightly excited for the foods and relatives i am going to meet, but most importantly i really am looking forward to the rest that i (hopefully) get. There are the occasional fun times in school like these.. and there are boring times like these.... this is UGC112 class, or in a more understandable term, World Civilization Module 112 This is a super packed out lecture of ours....very different from the usual lectures in local universities eh! lecturer allowed me to photograph and video the class as he somehow wanted footage on it *shrugs! by the way, this lecturer is SO SO GOOD. its a pity that i just have zero liking towards history therefore his classes really put me to sleep so badly :( and i am sitting on the last row wew! sleep ftw! legit half the time i have to try to keep my eyes open, The other half of the time....my eyes are probably closed. but hey! church never fails to brighten up your week!!! :D i feel really really blessed by the teachings and revelations for this week, whether is it in church or outside! aaaand the shots below...were taken with my GoPro! clearly it is not meant for photos....its quite pathetic actually lmao because there is no stabilizer inside i guess. but the second shot turned out pretty fine didnt it! i used the app to control the gopro, which explains why everyone is looking at my phone xD really really glad today that i bought a bag that i LOVE. and it is pretty rare actually for me to buy one that i really love! usually, they are bags that i like. most of the things that i have is a like. very seldom do i actually really love something! and man this bag is so awesome :P most importantly, it is practical and does not sacrifice comfort in any way! :D of course though, it is a very different sense of "fashion". wonder how does BMT look like tomorrow, its been so long since i've last gone back! Dad picked me up after i was studying with my cell group at Suntec City, we always hang out at starbucks. Typical teenagers you would say. and i was like hey why not we pop by beach road to look for a big bag, because i wanted a new bag! and dad was like hey why not! so it was just dad and I, going down to beach road and weaving through those army stalls until we found AimSpec! after looking around and trying out the bags, there was one bag that particularly caught my eye and pleased my shoulders! it is a Hazard 4 bag, cross sling and it is surprisingly comfortable!! inside stores my Macbook 15", sports shoes, extra change of clothes, GoPro with a monopod, laptop charger, pencil case and my notes for school! the front part flips nicely down for easy access too! surprisingly, there's still quite a lot of space inside! i will probably try to get a photo tomorrow or something :) it is definitely going to be a bag that i will use for a long time :D by the way, the patch writes "stay classy" OH YEAH. i'll tryto get more photos tomorrow of my bag...yas. aaaaand to satisfy those milsim/xplorer readers of mine, here is a video on how to be tacticool! Its been so so long since i've last played an xplorer war as i was overseas! War was just yesterday but i am still feeling the fatigue from it and from the activities on the days before. currently am at suntec city starbucks blogging about this! in fact, i am just done blogging on my other COM125 blog! well its an assignment on the history of the internet, FIRST POST. I didnt really know what to write though...so who knows whether i'll change it or not~ Here's the link to my other blog! It's actually kinda interesting to do blogging as our weekly assignment, a pleasant change, as compared to the usual essay-based assignments. HAHAHAH okay my loadout, or whatever i am wearing is a massive clash. I am still waiting for my new gears to arrive but in the mean time.... LOL my vest is just the usual one from army, black top because it is cooling, desert pants from the US army, i have the top too but was lazy to wear it. next time! aaaand my beautiful XEliminator which did not fail me at all in the war. Although at one point in time i thought it jammed but actually not. and that white bicycle helmet that belongs to my dad was a last minute grab-and-go because i didnt have a proper rig to film with my gopro! Guess i looked quite out in the open~ well that's what you can do when you're quite out of range from your opponents! fatigue. i am still feeling the tiredness from yesterday's war and the days before. I have been sleeping for about 3-4 hours daily which isnt healthy the least. And having to wake up everyday ay 7am... nahhh. I was out drinking till late on thursday, friday i had many many errands to run and things to clear, of which then to top off my week, Xplorer War 9 on Saturday which surprisingly took a really long time! I was shocked when i checked my watch as to how much time has passed when the war ended. It kinda feels sian sian or sickening when you realise that today is sunday and that the weekends are already coming to a close. and then the whole mad busy week starts again bleah! I will post the video of the war after it has been consolidated and edited!! it feels so good to finally have a breather, being able to do something so different from my usual schedule! and more importantly doing something i really like :) and a big thank you shout out to Monster Energy for sponsoring our event!! This is the first time we had so many people to war with, and it was a really awesome time as we had lots of beginners too! everyone really joining in and having fun, some serious moments when we have to move up and flank the enemy and all and also times when we keep joking around. We also tried new game modes, learnt the field better as to which are the better spots to hide, etc etc as this is our second time playing on this field. What's most important i guess is the strategy and teamwork. The first game saw very little teamwork, and it seemed to be more like a pair work thing whereby those confident in their buddies worked together. Whereas in later games, there was improvement in strategies, although some parts we really failed spectacularly xD xD It's a really good learning opportunity for every one of us to improve :) It's funny how this situation always occurs. Leader shouts GO GO GO! end up the leader runs ahead with no one providing cover fire and running up at the same time HAHAH and then up comes the "oh shit" situation. There were times when it was a mad hectic situation to bail teammates out of the firefight and all! Communication is key in ensuring that the objective is met. Here, someone tried to shoot me and hit my blaster (luckily) instead of me, hence i had to change to my sidearm which is the teeny pistol that i am holding! when getting pinned down, comms back to your team to let them know! i just cant stand my outfit. -_-"' In this war game, my XEliminator saw lots of combat, and it got a bad crack!! HEART PAIN but oh well, battle scars are what we call em. but it was gooood. Lots of new scuff marks on my blaster now and its like how each scuff or scratch kinda tells a story of what your blaster has been through. Guess i'll need to be more careful with my blaster :/ Now friends know me as the shooting guy xD so whenever someone wants to play these kind of shooting things, they come to me. Sadly though, my friends coudnt come for this war :(( another time i guess! i am really looking forward to having more people join us in warring, dressing up and being all prepped up! there is really so much to learn out there when you are battling your friends and many experiences to share too! You get sweaty and dirty, especially when you bash through the shrubs and forest area but thats all part of the game eh! When you are at the location and playing...it really feels very different from our usual life, always facing our smartphones or whatsoever, shopping, buildings. But its more of taking away all of those stuff and trying to gun down your foes which is the fun part! When to move where, all these takes experience to learn! and lastly, when you are warring, your blaster is really YOURS like you know how it performs best and all, haha to some extent, its like...your girlfriend i guess! (maybe thats why i am single) Here's a little hide-and-seek game for you to spot the person! ALL PHOTO CREDITS GO TO HENG FROM XPLORER. THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO TAKE SO MANY PHOTOS WHILE WE GET TO ENJOY THE GAME! |
