Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

Procrastinator me has finally spoken! NAHHHH but anyway, i just watched two movies yesterday, Exodus with brother and Interstellar with my family. Man interstellar was really REALLY good. especially when i love to think about these kinda stuffs, it was a great movie that kept me thinking and connecting the dots! although one portion of it still doesnt make sense to me, which is*spoiler* How did the main character even know about NASA in the first place, Like the exact coordinates? it felt like a chicken and egg problem to me...i don't know! *spoiler* after finals are over, and i have been getting into the slacking business....life seems kinda mundane? i just finished watching this anime series called Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei its by far one of the best animes that i've ever watched!! finished 17 episodes in one day and the remainder 9 on the next day. aaaand currently i seem to be running dry on the animes to watch :/ frankly speaking, i got kinda bored after gaming for a couple of days, so now i am back to doing my nerf stuff and plastic modelling. Here is my modded nerf longshot! haha its been so long since i've last posted a pic of it, has since undergone some minor changes eh. This is how it looked like in the past, And now, it looks like this! It seems as though the colour turned darker....but nah, must be just the lighting! Well for a nerf gun, outsides is one thing, but internals is what truly matter because that's what shoots the darts eh! but i love the sleek look now :P It's funny how i have close to zero spare darts now to anyhow shoot around the house... still need to pack my bags for holiday tomorrow, still in the midst of doing so :P On a sidenote, i managed to fill up my one terabyte of space on my desktop based on videos, photos and music. Oh great. I'm trying to free up space because it is always good to backup everything and reformatting all the memory cards before flying off!Never knew i had so much to backup...I dont know, it feels like there is nothing much to do and i am so bored, moreover, i am broke too so going out isn't really quite an option xD let alone drinking hehe. So nope nope, just stay at home sighs. I never knew holiday would be this boring, with nothing much to do, like at least when there is school, your time is taken up already so you dont really have a choice and am kept busy throughout. Just wonder how 2015 is gonna be like :) like at the end of 2015, when it comes to this exact same period, what would I be typing in this blog if it still is alive then. Recently I've gotten back into plastic modelling, to at least have some progress on my clear ver. Unicorn gundam that i bought during gundam expo... i know its been so long already but schoolwork has kept me at bay and unable to do much. Its because like i said before i think? sometimes you just need lots of time at one go to come to a "logical fullstop" and i didnt really have that time when project deadlines and finals were in front of me :) but now that they are behind, guess what is in front of me!! FATS. slothing time has come, and haha i dont know actually i dont really find plastic modellingas something slacking as a certain amount of concentration is required to also build it properly and ensure the parts are all good to go :) i need to look at the manual and see what stuffs i can build first and some that i have to avoid as i need to spray paint some parts and the others are handpainted, etc etc. Here's what i mean! First, I need to apply 3 layers of white paint on the clear plastic, you'll know why i apply it in the insides instead of the outsides soon! On the left, the pair of parts have gone through 3 layers whereas the right side ones have only gone through one layer of paint, hence it being translucent still. In order to ensure enough light bounces off the white surface and also ensuring that it is not too thick for the male-female parts to fit in, I found that 3 layers was optimal for me. These had to be hand-painted in. Also, I went with Citadel paint, ceramic white i believe? I am not using the standard gunpla paints or tamiya paints! After letting the paint layers dry one by one, now comes the cleaning up process! I come in with my fingernails and scrape off all the excess paint. On the left side of the part, you can see it being messy and on the right is after the excess paint has been scraped off. I'll inspect every piece to ensure that its the right stuff being scraped off! As you can see in the photo below, that is after all the parts are assembled together! This process is repeated throughout the different limbs and parts of the body. Also, i choose certain parts to not be painted with the white backing to allow more of the inner mechanical frame and the unicorn gundam's pyscho frame to be revealed. The choosing of parts is kinda tedious as i'll observe the manual and see which parts would be better to be revealed, etc etc. I dont want the entire kit being just with the painted parts all over. Also, you can see how painting the insides gives this certain look with a transparent layer over it! Also, you'll have those lines and all giving the overall a really nice mild design! Does my arm pit smell? |
