I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

let me walk you through my schedule for this weekend! Saturday: Wake up at 6am to take the boat from west coast park to St John's island for nerf war, played until it was 5pm when we went our separate ways upon reaching mainland. i had to rush home, bathe and have a quick meal before reaching Zouk at around 7pm! Because i went for my uni pageant to support my friend!! A pity he didnt win though...but more importantly, it was an awesome time of meet up for my friends and classmates, bumping into each other and chilling together later on! had absolute fun last night! Ended up reaching home at around 3.30am....slept at 4? and then had to wake up at 7am today to book seats in church! AAAAAnd by the time i reached home and napped, it was already 5pm. Woke up, dinner, edited the video for my nerf war and did some schoolwork and voila~! now you have me in front of my computer typing this! While lamenting on why the time is already 11pm....i actually intended to sleep by 11pm because i am really severely lacking in sleep! but i figured like gahhh might as well get this blog post up first before heading to bed....lmao actually i might continue this in the morning, i dont know. I mean like who else comes in a lorry, with most of the team members sitting behind eh?! It's kinda interesting when you see everyone parking their car, including me (aalthough mum is inside the car) and we all open the car boots and unload our loadouts xD somehow i dont have a photo of all our bags and all.... But hey why not take a selfie before we look all worn out and tired right?! There you go! this is one of the boats that we took over to St John's Island, one team took to Lazarus, while the other which is mine, got off at St Johm's! Then, we went inwards, before contacting each other and fighting it out for the last objective. :) En route, we had to fend off other attackers that ambushed us here and there, while trying to retrieve the objective which is a canister. Our mission was to pass it over to the buyer before the stipulated time! Also....we have to defend the buyer's location for 10 minutes against other attackers, which is team Delta and team X-ray. The team boarind the boat here is team x-Ray. Whereas i was in team Whisky. Hence in total there are 3 teams! Team Delta is split into two groups and they are the ambushing team that slows us down to the objectives. Here's a full body pic of me and my full loadout! personally i carried 3 litres of water...including combat rations for our lunch. For battle wise, i had a side arm at my side lolol the pun. Inside my bad had other stuffs like safety eyewear, especially DARTS. loads and loads of darts just in case!! i mounted a video cam on my hat aaaaand for my loadout....i am using a modified Longshot and modified Retaliator. Darts wise.... I have 7 magazines of 15 darts each (max is 20 darts) on my vest and about 600+ spare darts in my backpack, packed into boxes. Other than that, there's the misc items like swiss knife, torchlight, tools for repairing blaster, etc. Also, i do have some nice scenery for you guys!! that's the city skyline of singapore man :) i was camping and waiting for the enemy pretty long here, that i had enough time to snapchat too xD Walking for long distances with the battle vest and heavy loads was quite a pain for my shoulders and on the overall, it was very very tiring!! the scorching sun did play a huge role too, although luckily i had a bonnie hat to wear. I really experienced the brunt of the sun rays when i was waiting for the enemy to appear at the final objective. It was a tiring wait under the hot sun and with the vest trapping heat, it got really warm! but nevertheless, all the walking around in combat boots was fun!! I'm having some problems with uploading my video onto youtube now.. i dont know why but they downgraded my video from 720p to a meagre 360p...like who in the world watches anything in 360p. THat's like 2 megapixels man... I really had a fun time warring it out with them, although we didnt get to try out the river crossing that the other team had....let me grab a photo of it! credits to heng We on the other hand didnt get to try this river crossing out because our route just didnt have any! which hehe is a good thing xD no one wants to be half wet and all while battling it out eh?! credits to heng and lastly, when everything truly is over, that is when we have the "training shed"moment, when during our army days, we always lay around the training shed like that! On the overall, it was a really fun experience warring it out with these guys, I was the intelligence officer for Team Whisky, meaning that i had more information on the routes and also give out strategic info and all. There definitely was a lot of great coordination on my team and in the end, we did manage to hold out Team X ray from the buyer's location! it was. After a warm up contact point with Team Delta, from then on, there was great coordination and we took up positions accordingly without much communication which was really cool! and then later on breaking up into two smaller teams to bash through the forest while the other takes the main path, it was really good and we managed to hold out the enemy team because of that! I met up with the team leader to discuss strategies and all beforehand, and im glad that everything worked out in the end! having to see how team members play and allocate roles accordingly really had a huge impact on the gameplan and we were able to easily pressurize the enemy to keep falling back! On the whole, it was a really great experience being able to learn from both teams! and also using my longshot once again xD really had loads of fun! being able to go all out and wear the vest, changing of magazines or solving jamming issues while my teammates provided cover fire, there indeed was great teamwork and coordination within the team! :) Initially, i was actually quite worried because i have only played with each other once only? as compared to Team X ray, i played with most of them a couple of times already. Oh yes! and the impromtu boat battle at the end after the war was epic man!! both boats of people were shooting at each other, that was actually the most fun part of the whole war xD suddenly after we caught up with the other boat, and then from a distance, we saw them picking up their blasters and knew what was going to happen! After that, our boats kept some distance apart as we shot one another, and then later on they switched sides too as we overtook one another and it was so much fun!! I didnt take much video footage because i was busy shooting it out and having fun instead! But still, here is the war footage from whatever that i recorded!! it's my first time recording using this camera on my head though! So here is the video for you! I uploaded it to facebook instead, click on the HD button to view it in 720p! Xplorer Commando War Video |
