Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

SORRY I WENT MIA hahaha ahhh i finally have some me time for myself! been really busy settling whatever stuffs, especially financially due to extra expenses and all :/ aaaaand looking ahead, i think i am going to be really busy! No idea how i am going to find time to start on my model kit building, but i guess i'll just do a little by little, taking baby steps every week~ wait did i say model kits? yeap yeap i'm dabbling a little back into this expensive hobby of mine because i just came back from Gunpla Expo! and cell group. This year's didnt set me a good impression, although the model kits are good! I went on the first day, hoping that i could get my itchy hands on some model kit, but was denied and asked to leave the event grounds, as even though THEY STATED IN THE BROCHURE IT OPENS AT 10AM, there was an hours private viewing TSK and we were chased out, only to be let in at 11am but by then, i was already halfway on the train to school. hence it left me gravely disappointed. I went another twice more, the last one being this morning, early in the queue by 9.30am just so as to grab that limited edition kits! and thank God i managed to get my hands on those that i wanted :P more importantly, thank God that dad randomly gave me $500 to spend on whatever i wanted, and his requirement was that i had to spend it on "whatever that makes me happy"! :'DFrankly speaking, dad's been more than just awesome for the past months, always so readily supporting my exorbitantly expensive hobbies of mine. Ever since he came to church and all, he is a much happier person, being more contented with whatever he has and unbelievably way more polite! At times when i lose my cool, he is the one who stops me instead, which in the past used to be the other way round! :) aaand it is really interesting to see the changes within him, really becoming a father who spends more time with his son! (Bro is still busy gaming so dad doesnt spend any extra time with him) Whereas as i continue to travel around places, buying whatever raw materials of sorts for my nerf modifications, dad always offers to fetch me around! Not to mention, this $500 really came in extra handy because i actually didnt tell him that i have LOADS of outstanding payments to fufill this month! For the first time ever, i found myself in a deficit, but thanks to the timely monetary blessing into my life, i'm able to be debt free! I totally don't expect myself being able to proclaim being in debt in my early twenties man. zomg i still need to wrap birthday present later and it's already 11.30pm..wake up at 7am tmr >.< Anyway, coming back to the Gunpla Expo, with the awesome bling bling from dad, i can get those limited edition kits! usually every year i will buy them. this year is no different! and then somehow i shall find the time to fix and somehow i shall find a space to display at home of which.....i have not found any. The layout is pretty simple like that's all to it for this year's expo! which....is kinda disappointing... they were showcasing stuff that we already knew, so there isn't really that much of "new matter" at this gunpla expo! other than those awesome limited edition kits hehehe~ Other than the Gunpla expo, they also showcased the entries for the GBWC, Gunpla Builders World Cup 2014. And i saw some really nice ones!! I came prepared with my camera, so here are some of the highlight entries that i really liked! of course if i post all, i would kill your fingers thanks to the scrolling so let's be conservative today shall we! Here i shall plunge you back into the old hobby of mine, gunpla modelling!! the last time i completed a model kit was when i was still in the Air force....say around November 2013 period? that was the last time i did a model kit...here are some photos of my previous work! i went for a bit of a rugged look, hehe and it turned out kinda sweet~! built this entirely in camp actually, including all the weathering, painting, coating, etc. All in camp! Now, this piece sits comfortably on my piano top! Back to the contest entries.... Yes that photo is in the right orientation! These are my personal favourites! Frankly speaking, so so much hard work and effort has been poured into these pieces! and to think that they are all competing for the championship is heartbreaking because can you imagine if one of them loses? like that's all his meticulous hard work that's been poured out for weeks and weeks! Luckily i am not the judge, if not i'll just tie them all at first placing hehehe they do have junior entries too, which is really nice!! it's fun to see how smaller kids are displaying their works :)) The event also saw the showcasing of new products! Like the Neo Zeong? LOL i forgot the name whoopssss SUCH TEMPT LIKE LOOK AT THAT SIZE and for comparison sake, look at that teeny weeny gundam at the right corner xD ahhhh i can totally imagine painting this beast up and displaying it in my living room though....no space! :D It's nice to see such simple builds too, like the one below! haha just that alone was tempting enough for me to get it, although i didnt! some things are just better left simple lah :) Below are the two event specials, of course there is more! (LOL just realised i didnt take photo of all of the limited kits stupid me) but but but anywayyyyyy I still do have some nice ones alright! hehe i was actually aiming for these two, along with the Astray blue frame second L, But due to budget....i am just getting two kits instead, don't wanna be spending too much. As such, i had to leave out this orange one below, the Andrew wes....field forgot name custom RG destiny gundam. Now that i look at it once more....hehe kinda regret but oh well. Save money. Or whatever that's left of it. This is the second limited kit that i was gunning for! this is the main one actually :) This will be one sweet add on to my collection! although it's gonna be tedious getting all of these painted....i mean just look at all those parts?! not to mention i have to consider every part, like which one to leave unpainted, etc etc. It's going to be VERY long indeed! probably gonna take me a few weeks? given i have tests and assignments to complete and all....but it'll be fun getting back into the gunpla hobby, after having been away for a long time! time to take out those paintbrushes and spray cans and get down to work :) Overall i am of course very VERY contented with my haul, i mean just look at that!! i put my starbucks tumbler there as a gauge, accidentally folded the bag T.T and it's HUGEEEEE although actually there's only two kits inside lmao. I really loved this year's packaging, i find they did a really good job with the eco bags! i got my hands on the smaller one, which is about half the height and it is red in colour with a sengoku astray outline? is that what it's called? i forgot. sheesh. but here are the boxes~ below, you can see the sheer size of the bag!! really good design of the bag, absolutely digging it! |
