Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

let me walk you through my schedule for this weekend! Saturday: Wake up at 6am to take the boat from west coast park to St John's island for nerf war, played until it was 5pm when we went our separate ways upon reaching mainland. i had to rush home, bathe and have a quick meal before reaching Zouk at around 7pm! Because i went for my uni pageant to support my friend!! A pity he didnt win though...but more importantly, it was an awesome time of meet up for my friends and classmates, bumping into each other and chilling together later on! had absolute fun last night! Ended up reaching home at around 3.30am....slept at 4? and then had to wake up at 7am today to book seats in church! AAAAAnd by the time i reached home and napped, it was already 5pm. Woke up, dinner, edited the video for my nerf war and did some schoolwork and voila~! now you have me in front of my computer typing this! While lamenting on why the time is already 11pm....i actually intended to sleep by 11pm because i am really severely lacking in sleep! but i figured like gahhh might as well get this blog post up first before heading to bed....lmao actually i might continue this in the morning, i dont know. I mean like who else comes in a lorry, with most of the team members sitting behind eh?! It's kinda interesting when you see everyone parking their car, including me (aalthough mum is inside the car) and we all open the car boots and unload our loadouts xD somehow i dont have a photo of all our bags and all.... But hey why not take a selfie before we look all worn out and tired right?! There you go! this is one of the boats that we took over to St John's Island, one team took to Lazarus, while the other which is mine, got off at St Johm's! Then, we went inwards, before contacting each other and fighting it out for the last objective. :) En route, we had to fend off other attackers that ambushed us here and there, while trying to retrieve the objective which is a canister. Our mission was to pass it over to the buyer before the stipulated time! Also....we have to defend the buyer's location for 10 minutes against other attackers, which is team Delta and team X-ray. The team boarind the boat here is team x-Ray. Whereas i was in team Whisky. Hence in total there are 3 teams! Team Delta is split into two groups and they are the ambushing team that slows us down to the objectives. Here's a full body pic of me and my full loadout! personally i carried 3 litres of water...including combat rations for our lunch. For battle wise, i had a side arm at my side lolol the pun. Inside my bad had other stuffs like safety eyewear, especially DARTS. loads and loads of darts just in case!! i mounted a video cam on my hat aaaaand for my loadout....i am using a modified Longshot and modified Retaliator. Darts wise.... I have 7 magazines of 15 darts each (max is 20 darts) on my vest and about 600+ spare darts in my backpack, packed into boxes. Other than that, there's the misc items like swiss knife, torchlight, tools for repairing blaster, etc. Also, i do have some nice scenery for you guys!! that's the city skyline of singapore man :) i was camping and waiting for the enemy pretty long here, that i had enough time to snapchat too xD Walking for long distances with the battle vest and heavy loads was quite a pain for my shoulders and on the overall, it was very very tiring!! the scorching sun did play a huge role too, although luckily i had a bonnie hat to wear. I really experienced the brunt of the sun rays when i was waiting for the enemy to appear at the final objective. It was a tiring wait under the hot sun and with the vest trapping heat, it got really warm! but nevertheless, all the walking around in combat boots was fun!! I'm having some problems with uploading my video onto youtube now.. i dont know why but they downgraded my video from 720p to a meagre 360p...like who in the world watches anything in 360p. THat's like 2 megapixels man... I really had a fun time warring it out with them, although we didnt get to try out the river crossing that the other team had....let me grab a photo of it! credits to heng We on the other hand didnt get to try this river crossing out because our route just didnt have any! which hehe is a good thing xD no one wants to be half wet and all while battling it out eh?! credits to heng and lastly, when everything truly is over, that is when we have the "training shed"moment, when during our army days, we always lay around the training shed like that! On the overall, it was a really fun experience warring it out with these guys, I was the intelligence officer for Team Whisky, meaning that i had more information on the routes and also give out strategic info and all. There definitely was a lot of great coordination on my team and in the end, we did manage to hold out Team X ray from the buyer's location! it was. After a warm up contact point with Team Delta, from then on, there was great coordination and we took up positions accordingly without much communication which was really cool! and then later on breaking up into two smaller teams to bash through the forest while the other takes the main path, it was really good and we managed to hold out the enemy team because of that! I met up with the team leader to discuss strategies and all beforehand, and im glad that everything worked out in the end! having to see how team members play and allocate roles accordingly really had a huge impact on the gameplan and we were able to easily pressurize the enemy to keep falling back! On the whole, it was a really great experience being able to learn from both teams! and also using my longshot once again xD really had loads of fun! being able to go all out and wear the vest, changing of magazines or solving jamming issues while my teammates provided cover fire, there indeed was great teamwork and coordination within the team! :) Initially, i was actually quite worried because i have only played with each other once only? as compared to Team X ray, i played with most of them a couple of times already. Oh yes! and the impromtu boat battle at the end after the war was epic man!! both boats of people were shooting at each other, that was actually the most fun part of the whole war xD suddenly after we caught up with the other boat, and then from a distance, we saw them picking up their blasters and knew what was going to happen! After that, our boats kept some distance apart as we shot one another, and then later on they switched sides too as we overtook one another and it was so much fun!! I didnt take much video footage because i was busy shooting it out and having fun instead! But still, here is the war footage from whatever that i recorded!! it's my first time recording using this camera on my head though! So here is the video for you! I uploaded it to facebook instead, click on the HD button to view it in 720p! Xplorer Commando War Video Thursday, November 13, 2014
blog post on a thursday?! yeah. :P been extremely busy trying to finish my research paper for esl408... I DID TEN PAGES WOHOOO and theres so much assignments and project works due! it is that time of the semester again whereby many many deadlines are due! kinda hectic but oh wells~ not to mention, i have so many things on my hands! :P im actually blogging in class hehe. it's other people presenting now anyway! shuks and i still havent found a gopro yet... :/ desperately need one but its so pricey these days isnt it?! The only thing that is on my mind is sleep sleep sleep. there's lots of things to prep for too. actually, i think that when all of these assignments and whatnot are finally over, i think i will feel kinda aimless, like there is nothing else to do. currently, im having lots of work to clear...especially organizational comms?! we have 14 chapters for our finals?! how is that even normal?! ANGRY. no I refuse to put proper capitalization or grammar or having proper sentences!! BECAUSE I BLOG THIS WAY. (my friend rachel is commenting on my awesoely horrible way of blogging.) I love reese. :)I just think that chocolate and peanut butter go so well together!! aaaand im craving for royce chocolate. someone is commenting that my blogging style is so hard to read :P iTs s0 haRd To R3AD aNd 1s s0 c001 <- added="" in.="" last="" nbsp="" p="" part="" she="" the=""> Thankfully, the lecturers did postpone two of our submissions which really helped to ease the workload!! although actually it's just some form of procrastination~ finals is still going to come. this lecturer turns around and shouts O.O scary... (we are doing presentations now) Rachel is the one with head tilted, the other behind is Kiara! This weekend seems to be a really busy weekend! so far...its packed to the max and i am trying to segregate my time so that i have time for everything! :/ obviousl my planner looks like a warzone. but what do i have this weekend....it's for you to find out! :) here's some clues as to what I am up to this weekend~! -> AAAAAND lastly, i've can never go without my greens!!! gah obviously you would be able to guess what i am doing this weekend -_-''
here is an interesting article on war photos! just that i find it kinda cool when there's a second touch to these "quotes"

OH COME ON when am i ever not on MIA mood huh? i always find myself going missing from time to time from this blog which....of course poor weekly readers :( school work's been piling on and the end of semester seems to loom ahead. As we approach the end of the semester, it is both a good and bad thing! A good thing as we can finally have our break, although its an EXTREMELY SHORT ONE and i will be off on holiday, missing the christmas season :( although i very VERY VERY much want to be present for christmas but oh well.... i cant do anything about that... it kinda sucks that i am blogging so late because you guys wont be able to read the blog post on the weekends... but anyway, the bad thing is that before the semester ends, we have all our project work deadlines to meet, all the whatever research papers to draft and not forgetting finals. I aren't too optimistic with my fall grades as so far, i have probably only been performing on par with average? so....surely it is disappointing, but i am hoping that assignments and all, which tend to be my forte, can give me a small kickin boost!okay now i am wondering when my CG mates, cell group mates said that my blog title is too long, are they referring to the url, or the blog post titles....or just that whatever header of mine....i am guessing the header. Communications module has been a total ass in my life, having to keep coming up with wordy assignments. Although we were told beforehand, of course as usual, we keep it till the last minute so.... hehe there's so much to completeeee T.T and here you go hearing me whining it off once again. Shake it off anyone? Oh yes just a random fact, starbucks is changing to a new reward system this november, somewhere mid november i think. So,,,,better start using up and gulping down those free drinks eh! On the topic of starbucks, i bought this nice tumbler today!! OH COME ON tell me its cute!!! it's by far the cutest tumbler i have ever seen!!! however, the biggest bummer is that it can only store a tall coffee which is so disappointing....frankly speaking, i always ALWAYS order grande and here is my reasoning. When you order a tall, it's expensive and just when you are happily slurpin it away, suddenly no coffee meets your lips as you keep tilting the cup! that is when you realise wow im so not used to realise...because i always use american spelling for my assignments so its realize. wow. okay coming back yeah then that's when you realise you are out of coffee! and you'll be thinking "awww how i wish i had another sip!" its always that another sip thing that kills me. So what do you do? upsize to grande! now how about venti....i used to down a venti iced dark mocha every day as i mugged for my a levels....OH YES. GP paper for those A level kids tomorrow, all the best yeah!! dont die!! the British education system of bell curves sure is an evil one. thank God i am out of that bell curve warzone. A venti is way too big...you soon find yourself offering your friends as the ice begin to melt and dilute whatever that is left of it, or when you order a frappacino, that is when you're titanic: you hit the iceberg. you don't really want to finish the cup because you find it kinda overkill and if you ordered an iced coffee, you should have a swimming pool on your table now if there isnt any serviettes. so my verdict? go for grande. but the cute christmas tumbler cant support grande!! BUMMER. the cute polar bear sure is the saving grace for this tumbler, along with the beautiful sparkles!! i think what's also important is that the tumbler is totally transparent. xD with my translucent tumbler, i tend to forget to wash mine so....after it being left overnight....*dies* Why i couldnt blog last weekend was because i was really occupied with my close friend, Jael's 21st birthday!!!!! Words can;t express how thankful i am of you for being in my life and also always being a keen listening ear to all my troubles and whatnot. I dont even think you are reading this blog post -_- but anyway, i am eternally grateful for all the smiles that you have put or rather sown in my life, and now you are finally old!! WELCOME TO THE OLDIES CLUB (this is the 4th time im saying it) It's also been such a wonderful and enjoyable time being able to serve together with you and Jia Lin in usher ministry, it's always that smile on a sunday morning that brightens up my day! sometimes, i wake up from the wrong side of the bed, sometimes sundays are gloomy, or I could be also worn out and tired, dragging myself to serve in the house of God but you never fail to lift my spirits, so here is a great big THANK YOU shoutout to you jael!! although you dont read this xD wow this blog post sure is late eh! sundays are always fun staying back and fellowshipping with my cell group, spending some really solid quality time together, cracking lame jokes, talking about random stuffs, doing stupid stuffs at times but i am also really grateful for being planted in such a wonderful, spiritual cell group!! i'll never take those cell group meetings for granted, :) the birthday party was an absolute blast!! i had lotsa fun, heh heh those who went know what kinda lame fun we had MUHAAHA (try saying that, i just did and it sounds absolutely retarded, why did i even type that) although i spent probably most of my time looking through the lens of my camera, it was still a great time catching up with everyone! :) now i make it sound like it was my party -.- okay but the food was niceeee especially the beef :D we ate at this place called Jen's hotel, and thank you Jael's dad for sponsoring all of us!! The venue was definitely a great choice!! :) and of course her mum too for packing all of the lil jam bottles! who would have ever thought of such an idea eh? (actually i like the apricot flavour) mmmm with those airplane buns that they always serve 36000 feet above, those are THE BEST. yeah i think i am the only idiot who craves for airplane food. i guess i shall leave you with some photos from Jael's 21st birthday party yeah!! :) Credits: myself. YAYS.
Hello Jael's dad!! him videoing the whole birthday party!!
Ah look at that happy face~ should have seen the face after that when his face met the plate.
and this is our cell group, E488!!! plus jerome, xD ex cg member EVERYBARDIE minus some peeps who left earlier... its a really nice place right! sup. Vivian takes like the longest time EVER to write on the guestbook -_- thank you vivian for doing the guestbook!!! but havent written on it the "siblings", overly cray jolly ah and of course, how could jerome be missed out!!! This be true. be you. is so apt xD Thank you jael for always being so genuine and so true!!! pardon my bad photography skills. I think everyone is always special in their own ways, which is what makes us unique!! :D Aiyah end it off with a nice selfie lah huh!! decided to pick the nicer ones instead of those anyhow shoot ones HAHAH but i just wanna say a great big THANK YOU once again for always being so nice!! :) ahhhh i guess i get my weird and random ideas partially from her....i dont know, but it's always xuch a joy watching her!! i mean like does nobody not know about her?! aaaand i found this really funny link!! you should definitely take a look at it, i was laughing out loud because of the expressions on their faces!! http://elitedaily.com/humor/orchestra-eats-hottest-chili-pepper-video/822550/ |
