I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)
Leave a message after the tone
Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

zomg this week was pretty boring!! like nothing much came out of it xD the only thing i remember of this week, is headache. Somehow don't seem to be getting sufficient rest and all, spend my weekdays working! Weekends aren't any slacker than weekdays, but i always try to catch some beauty sleep on sunday and monday. Of which...doesnt seem to be happening :P well good thing is that this week i have no piano lesson! you know sometimes because you think that there isnt lesson so you can slack off and not practice as much, although obviously that isnt a good mindset to have, you find yourself being able to lead a much less stressful life because then, i wouldnt be thinking/worrying during work that shuks! i need to practice piano when i'm home! gah but this week has been a pretty confusing week for me! like i spent most of the time thinking, what in the world am i doing with my life, how is life like going to be in May because then, school would be starting and all. I feel kinda bad if i simply study all the way and not take up a job, but then again there's the consideration of joining a CCA (co-curricular activity) in Uni and all. :)magically, april seems pretty alright! like i dont have that many events and all....although everyone knows that usually the week before, suddenly boomz have to do this, boomz have to do that and Tadaaaaah! after what you would have thought that it was going to be a relaxed week, you're bogged down with lots of errands of sorts! plus this month, i'm super broke. Seriously all i am waiting is 7 April, when i get that payday of mine!! so I'm really hoping that i can finish up all my working in march and get that paycheck, fufill building fund, and hopefully have some extra that i can spend on myself! It sucks when you're working hard and all, always having headaches due to lack of sleep (speaking of which, clubbing tmr. how to survive?) and yet you still need to exercise self control knowing that you cant spend! I always believe that one should reward yourself after working hard HAHA maybe that's the reason why i'm fat lolol nah but i'm lucky enough to be working with really wonderful girls, and such sociable guys!! like Thank God we can click so easily, which then makes work so much more fun and less of a drag :) Desperately want to find ways to destress, i dont know, used to watch animes to de-stress, but they dont really seem to be working nowadays! plus it sucks that i am thinking so much again x.x and the surprising fact, despite thinking so much, life just simply goes on. more surprising, i know that but still can't stop myself from thinking/worrying too much! yep yep this week is a pretty short post! My nerfing and plstic modelling hobbies have to be put on hold due to lack of $kaching$ and i need time to grab more materials too! :( time - something that i dont quite have now. Let's just psycho myself that life will get better! roar! it's so annoying when you see your nerf projects put on hold, its like having those creative juices to piece something together, but yet not being able to. But i'm still glad that i get to work with really really nice and awesome people in awfully chocolate, the part timers are really fun alright! :)) Wednesday, March 19, 2014
HEHE SORRY FOR THE LATE POSTTTTT you know these days it's been really really tiring for me. really physcially very very tired, because of work and church commitments and all! not to mention, i've still go to read up on all of the uni admissions and the courses that they have, yes that time of the year is here again... with my music too, having to always be practicing, i find it really hard to keep up with everything and am becoming increasingly tired! If i am not working, i am busy finding out more about uni courses, though i am pretty sure heading towards the arts path instead of science or business. Also, during my "free time", i would say hi to my piano. Life becomes extra tiring when you have to juggle church commitments! like having events and all, it saps up quite a lot of energy and all but it's all about trusting in God that you can go through it! i think weekends are really the craziest for me.Pretty insane but i was tired as hell on friday, so i was so so tired out when i went for cell group on saturday morning. But soon after, instead of joining them for a chill session, i rushed off to work! I'm really bad at sleeping, like i need pretty extreme conditions before i can fall asleep but yet i dozed off in the car although it was so sunny and all! Amazingly i survived work, slept at 4am on a sunday midnight before waking up at 7am to head to church. Not to mention we had Man vs Machine event last weekend! ended up reaching home in the night xD madness man that i managed to survive this weekend. But really luckily, i DONT have work on the following monday. Working as much as possible for this month to fufill my building fund and also because i need the money! Working everyday except sunday and monday :P but what can i say, life is still awesome, glad that i can juggle with these stuff now!! definitely lots more freedom after ORDing, and being able to work, having fun working :) because afterall, if you really want the job and all, you're mostly working with people who have the same passion, which makes working all the more enjoyable because even though it's tiring, it's fun! Personally, i've always wanted to continue with my GUNPLA passion, but i dont have the money to! :( it's really expensive and time consuming. TIME, something that i dont really have now (no don't tell me everyone has 24 hours a day) So...instead, i'm into modifying nerf blasters! i dont know go youtube some simple stock blaster review or what haha. Why nerf? because it's so much less time consuming and its fun to spam darts around the house and litter the entire place :) of course from time to time, my darts count starts to diminish and sometimes, i find random darts lying around the house :D woes of not having a maid hehehehe i just really wish that universities can actually have as much fun with nerf as it is in US universities whereby they close the campus just for a massive nerf war like this one: HAHA Sorry not this one, i had a good laugh at this one while searching for a nerf war vid xD okayyyy found one! suddenly i have a problem finding one, like where did those videos go?! that's an old vi by the way, but sheeesh why cant singapore have something like this?! but well since i am applying into SIM, maybe, just maybe i might start something. hmmmm But hey! life has been fun, being able to have random meet up with friends for a meal! That's Man vs Machine event that we had for last sunday and it was such a blast! A massive event by emerge-chc and it was really fun!! really glad that i was able to serve and help out for this event, watching all the young ones run around as it is like a massive catching event! What particularly amazed me for this event was the weather. And because in the morning it was raining really heavily, and those of us who could pray, prayed for good weather for the event. Those in service did a quiet prayer as the service continued. And everyone knows how bad the dry spell has been in Singapore, from a green city to a brown city, roadside plants are all dying, even the pond at botanical gardens receded like mad, everything was just brown and boomz for the first time in 2 months? it POURED. and i was wondering like hey seriously....? on the day that we have a massive event it suddenly decides to pour? but praise God that the moment our event started, LITERALLY, the rain stopped!! Wohoo! i was like NO WAYYYY miracle!!!! and the moment our event ended, it started to storm once again! of course, since it takes time to prepare for the event and leave the venue, we got wet :P but that's not the point!! you know for it to pour the moment we ended our rain, that was really a wow moment :D I'm glad that helpers and participants alike really enjoyed the event, showing that the event was a huge success! am glad that despite being so tired out, i was still able to really help out with the event and ra-ra people on to participate more :) Weekend absolutely tiring, weekdays work were really tiring, but it is the friends that go through these stuff with you that keeps life so upbeat and fun! Hahaha it seems pretty mad that i'm going to be twenty two this year and i have yet to even step into a club once! though of course i've been to pubs, these years i've alwayd been the sort who sits down and chills while having a drink or two. Made friends at awfully chocolate as i got past the interview, as the only guy, heard its common! Yep its true that awfully chocolate employs girls only! However at the Nine Thirty side, which is the restaurant version, they employ some guys! Like at my east coast outlet now, we have about three guys. On and off, we're there! Of course we met in the night, and decided to chill out along singapore river before going into Zouk. The reason? wait for those crazy people to konk out early in zouk, clearing up the space before we go in. :) damn im hungry.Hahah i relaly enjoyed hanging out with the AC girls and although the next day felt kinda shitty, well obviously there were so many girls, so we went on ladies night....a pity i couldnt pass off as a guy so i had to pay that $25 entrance fee but nevermind! Yeap yeap clubbing can get quite expensive at times, after all the taxi and alcohol charges. hahah i've always loved to listen to clubbing music, but never been to one since my group of friends dont go clubbing! well maybe i would do so more often now perhaps.....? see how! but it was really fun dancing crazily on the dance floor although it was super duper crowded! like OVERcrowded. Of course i dont mind getting moshed around~ and it was fun to lose yourself, LUCKILY i didnt have work the next day if not i would have died man. Feels good to have the time to just simply chill on a wednesday night past midnight, instead of having to worry about work or whatsoever! (y) Funny thing is i had work before going to the club, which explains my white and black outfit.... we are all connected by AC! but just that i was the only one working that time :) Wonder if it's possible to work right after clubbing! i mean like since you're all hyper and all, and the hype hasnt died down, might as well get 6-7hours of a half shift done before crashing on the bed! well at least i was wide awake O.O couldnt sleep at all! Think i reached home around 5.30am was it? i dont remember... but nah too hyper to sleep, plus i was sober! Thankfully not drunk -.- since some of us were! Come to think of it, i haven't even finished blogging on my finland trip. whoops! esh i never expected my ORD life to be THIS busy alright! and for a guy who have been slacking his entire life (AC is my first job), that's kinda tiring! I dont know life seems so tiring nowadays that all the more i need to catch up on sleep! now that i've finally gotten a planner, from afar, the week still looks so nice and clean and free and then one week into it, and BOOMZ the next week looks so powerpacked :D i notice how the schedule for wednesdays onwards always seem so packed like mad, while the mondays and tuesdays always seem so freed up! which is goooood. Im not gonna infect anyone with mah monday blues >:) hooooo the haze is back. ah nothing beats slacking at home on a monday, not having to worry during sunday evenings that my monday is gonna be another busy day (y) Monday, March 03, 2014
SO SORRY GUYS FOR NOT POSTING ANYTHING haha i've been very VERY busy lately, because of work ( no longer army) and also because of all the nerf stuff that i am trying to complete. Oh of course not to miss out church commitments! There's really a lot of stuff that needs to be done...sadly. These past few days have been really crazy hectic, definitely more hectic than being in camp xDI've been working and working, and for the record, last night was the first time in 6 days that i managed to get a proper good night's rest and to be able to take a meal in proper, sitting down. Oh yes! other than that one instance whereby we could try out the food during the training session hehe :P Other than that, i usually have a waffle for breakfast and it lasts me till past midnight~! What i am glad about ORDing is that the most direct impact would be the mornings. I get to sleep a whole lot more and wake up a lot later than when i'm in camp (8am) though it's already very good that we get to wake up so late in camp. :) SO during this march-may period, i gotta look for a job! but thank God that i've already found a job even before i ORD! :D really glad that i've gotten a job that i like. :) Need to really get used to the whole motion of the F&B industry, i am only used to eating food, not so used to serving food! :P Before i carry on, how about a photo? :) Haha do you know where i work at yet? :P See if anyone can guess what eatery this is :) Well soon after pasting that green sticker onto my 11B, yep yep finally that NS MAN sticker >:) am i happy that i ord-ed? Ummmm yes-no. Like i dont know....to me, its just a phase in life that everyone has to go through, Sooner of later, guys will have to enlist, some will ord, some will rod. Well it's just a chapter! but i am glad that i've had a memorably good NS experience, filled with lots of stories that i can tell my friends in the future! Oh wow, my address is there.. let me grab a marker.... Yeah, after NS is over, i finally am bothered to call up the piano tuner to help me tune my piano! little did i know that actually, my piano is VERY VERY old. Well good thing is that since its a Yamaha and it's old, it means that it has a pretty unique sound to it? and also, its DEFINITELY NOT going to be made in indonesia or china.... Nowadays all of these pianos have really identical sounds. But i love the sound of my piano, just that the keys are way too light :( Japanese made pianos have very light piano keys...unlike their western and european counterparts. Here's a link to find the age of your yamaha piano or where it is made! Hmmm so now i've moved on to working and here are the people that i've trained with! it was really interesting learning on the history of Awfully chocolate (AC) as well as trying out piping. Trying to sell the cake was actually harder than i thought it would be :P but anyway, since i'm a guy, i've got to work in NineThirty instead, which is the restaurant style dining, which is a branch of the AC line. :) Learning how to pipe was really interesting, it was the first time ever, and i was realllllllyyyy slow. i mean like which guy actually does this?! hehe but it still turned out pretty decent didnt it! i only realised how slow i was when i actually started work at the outlet, not telling ya which outlet! but like how the experienced manager did it? Whoa...lightning fast and yet accurate man :S plus it looks so good! xD scaryyyyy. Ah but only the over-the-counter girls get to do piping. My job is more of a waiter, serving customers when they dine in. I'm still trying to learn all the table numbers....they get really confusing at times. Plus i/m all new to the whole work and F&B thing. :) in fact, this is my very irst time working! I know right... im like a master slacker every holiday, just stay at home and laze around, relax, chill :PP watch the days go by, simply spend lots of time wandering around aimlessly either at home or at east coast park since it's so near to my place xD while the rest of the peoeple are usually trying to earn some money during the holidays :P for me, i don't spend much on myself. i think. okay maybe not lolol but hey enough for me to get by and have some savings too. So you know getting into this while working thing now...its for me to fufill my building fund! That's my primary objective. When i went online to check the balance, and checking it with my bank account, i was like WOAH okay something has to be done xD So....that's one of the reasons :P Secondly, its also because i dont want to just rot away at home, but instead go out there and learn a skill or two, beef up my resume a bit and gain some experience, as well as make new friends! I've really learnt a lot during this short span of one week on how F&B works, how does it feel to be serving customers, i mean like yes i do serve in church, but the environment is just different. Thankfully, i have really nice managers! Obviously i've gotten a lot of nit-picking already since i'm totally new to this, but i'm gradually getting used to the job and all so things should work out a whole lot better as the days and my shifts go by. Instead of going for an admin job or a full time job, i chose awfully chocolate, although the pay too is a lot less stable and most probably lower than the full time office jobs i was offered. Mainly because i knew that the environment and people i mix around with would be really bubbly! this is true, and fellow employees are really appreciative to one another. parents dissed it off as being pretentious but nah, you can feel the genuinity amongst one another. However, the working hours can be pretty long at times and we've got to stand up through out. To sum it up, its fun but tiring. Frankly speaking, on the overall, i've had a positive experience so far working for Awfully Chocolate or NineThirty some would say, for the first week. :) I really do not know if my injured knee can handle the long-standing hours of work, but if it doesnt work out....i will probably have to source for other jobs.. see how it goes~ |
