Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)
Leave a message after the tone
Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

Woot woot this the first time i have ever been to the....NUS cultural centre! seriously, the place is REALLY REALLY nice. its like so big! you can literally sit around there in a group, congregate, chit chat, discuss project works. so spacious! It kinda reminds me of the really nicely done up UTown, YES i am still jealous that NUS has such an awesome place :( whereas poor me who is heading over to SIM won't be able to enjoy such privileges! wish i could though.. i think hall would be a pretty fun place to be in! From what i see so far...uni students sure seem to be really busy! except during their holidays, whereby holidays REALLY EQUALS to holidays. Instead of the JC holidays that are burnt because our major exams are right after it. hah i was there at NUSCC on friday night! spent saturday really well, love my saturday this weekend :) Felt like it was really time well spent, a really different weekend! To all my NS mates who are reading my blog, no its not just DAG family day xDnow now what in the world am i doing at NUSCC? *takes an hour break to practice piano* i was there watching a dance performance by the NUS Dance Synergy group and the group is hugeeee :D It's their 35th anniversary and i have no idea that they were that big! haha i'm not really filled into the dance scene, so i dont know much about it xD i went there to support Jael though!! :D Hmm its a performance titled, Through the Looking Glass. What really caught my eye (and surprised me) when i entered the place, was that the ticketing was actually managed by Sistic. o.o I thought that these kind of performances would be managed by people of their own CCA instead. In my opinion, the ticket was priced reasonably at $17, even if it was $20, i will still go. Anything more would leave me with a pause before my decision. On the overall, i really enjoyed myself whilst watching the NUS dance synergy do their contemporary dance! Oxford should like seriously consider adding "haha" into their dictionary :P save me from all the red wriggly lines that i am seeing on my screen now. During the performance, they had the song, One Summer's Day from Spirited Away, written by Joe Hisashi and i'm listening to the song now! I was actually considering on learning this piece, and coincidentally, they played it for the dance performance! Really enjoyed myself during the dance performance! :) i seldom get a chance to go for such performances, as in i do not chase after these kinda performances? but if i happen to know of one and i am available, why not? :) This is in fact the very first dance performance for Jael! IN FACT, she have never ever danced before in her life, until she decided to give it a go in NUS. i mean like just how many of us are actually willing to just step out of our comfort zone and try such new stuffs?! I really really admire how she is able to readily try new things, even though it seems so insane. i for one can't dance for nuts! my body is extremely stiff. -_- i keep digressing and looking at piano scores online, i guess that's why i take FOREVER to finish a blog post eh? so far, i've been 40 minutes into this blog post xD epic fail. Through the Looking Glass, is a dance performance put together by the NUS dance synergy CCA in celebration of its 35th anniversary. When the whole performance ended and everyone gathered outside, that is when i started to think. WOW the choreographers really made something out of absolutely nothing. i mean all the dance moves, the sequences, the storyline, everything was really well thought of and lots of effort was indeed poured into the making of this successful event. Not to mention all the hardwork from all the dancers! they danced really really well! Even though Jael is considered as an amateur, she just blended in so well with the rest of the dancers! and really on stage, everyone kinda looks similar? so i had problem spotting her ._. A big THANK YOU to all of the choreographers, the event planning committee and all the dancers for all the sweat that you have poured in!! :D There is only one girl in the entire pic who has LOADS of make up on! Ah that's what you need to do whenever you perform on stage anyway. A big big congratulations to Jael's first performance!! Despite being heavily laden with school work, projects, in the end after all of those rehearsals, you have finally done your first dance performance on stage! :D i wonder how is it like dancing for the first time in stage, for the whole of your life O.o congrats congrats congrats! I personally got a huge shock, when this girl, who used to be in air rifle shooting ( i wanted to say air shooting rifle but nevermind blur me ) in JC and secondary school, told me that she joined contemp dance in NUS! i was like "you're joking right...?" but look at what we have here today, a dancer! :D I really really (double the really for double the emphasis!) enjoyed the choreography of the various dance performances for Through the Looking Glass though i couldnt really understand the last 2 performances xD haha which explains why i need to go for more of such stuff! Personally, i really loved the first dance performance, with the use of mirrors to depict a looking glass/kaleidoscope, showing how the girl thoroughly enjoys herself in her own world. As she dances around, floats around, being able to live so freely in the looking glass. actually it feels more like a kaleidoscope to me hahaha. but anyway, another really enjoyable aspect that deserves recognition is the light work. The dimming of the lights and panning of lights, etc etc, they were done really well. I know there would definitely be a DVD recording, but i dont know if anyone will upload any clips onto youtube. I dont think anyone did. and they shouldnt! Hehe i dont know when would be the next dance performance that i will be watching...maybe the next performance that Jael performs in? I have no idea! :) I really miss those times when i managed to practice so much piano and also perform for school events back in my JC days. Ah those were the really fun days with nothing much really to worry about. Now upon hitting 21 you have like a ton of stuff popping up -.- ANYWAY, what happened on Saturday? there was DAG family day and Case 2610! A big thank you to all the fe open house and stuff, but they dont exactly showcase what we do in camp! if you ask me, i would bamily day committee people who managed to make this whole event a success in my camp, i really had the chance to bring my friends around to look see look see, see what we actually do in camp! Many a time, for us who are serving NS, and our friends ask us like "hey what do you do in camp??" and no matter how you reply, they wont exactly know what kinda equipment you use, what kinda environment you live/work in in camp. So family day is a really really good eye opener to showcase what we ACTUALLY do in camp! i mean like yes there is air force more interested on how is my friend's everyday life like in camp. Like the schedule, what kind of equipment he uses, along with how is it like operating the equipment. etc etc. It really gave my friends a good chance to know what we do in camp! As the saying goes, a picture paints a thousand words and.....an opportunity to walk around camp and see all these? hah a PhD thesis perhaps! I will continue blogging about case 2610 in another blog post... i realised i didnt even take ANY photo at all for this weekend, despite the amount of activities that i had for this weekend! It's been a really really busy one for me, and as i book in later, i hope i can catch up and some jolly much needed rest! Hmmm That's all for this blog post... i know it's really really short, but i dont have a choice, got to book in. I preferably dont like to book in too late, because by the time you pack your stuff and prepare them for tomorrow, its gonna be way past midnight. and then the lack-of-sleep cycle starts AALLLL over! will try to see how i can squeeze in a blog post for case 2610!!! sometime during the week perhaps....? i dont know! xD (hope so lolol) OMG piano lesson is tomorrow and i really dont feel like i am adequately prepared D: shuks. Hope i am not a disappointment tomorrow! Sunday, October 20, 2013
Hello hello! haha Halloween is coming up!! :D i thought of dressing up at first, but guess we don't have to for the church event, so oh well. as i take a peek into this coming week's schedule and its really really packed! D: sigh, so troublesome, we have an exercise coming up, Ex wallaby people will be coming back, and we still have GMPG firing on friday. Seriously have no idea why signallers need to shoot GPMG though we already have to man comms. zz. and to top it off, there is family day this saturday! pretty packed up week already evem before it starts -.- hope i can get ample sleep throughout the week, still pretty sick though.. tempted to take MC. :P wish i didnt have so many things to do. At first, i really loved to be able to do something, like work or just something in camp, instead of simply rotting away. However, now it seems like I really dont wanna be doing anymore work and just be able to rest or slack off for a period.hah *ORD mood* perhaps. I really really want to start schooling already, but i am only going in in MAY! so.... its still pretty far away... which is sickening. Best part is that i ORD in late feb, giving me some time to relax/find a job to kill time!So much prefer this plan instead of deferring from NS and doing studies, and then having to worry about going back to serve again during my holidays. At least now i know, after "sacrificing" some time, i would be able to have the peace of mind and fully concentrate on studiesssssss. That being said, i guess SOT (School of Theology) will probably have to be put on hold, no matter how eager i am to take the step of faith and go for it :( Haha so back to the main topic, BACK TO SCHOOL CG! hahaha I tell ya, it's really hard trying to find a school uniform that fits alright! what happened was that since my cousin is in the same school as I and that i have already finished schooling, he took over all of my Pioneer Junior College uniform, along with almost all of my PE attire! so it was really a challenge to find a fitting school uniform to go for the event man. Everyone dressed up in their school uniforms, looking so nerd! :D Not to mention, our cell group, e488, was filled with ngee ann peeps! oh did i mention that it was a combined cell group? so we went back to school with e519! Thank God it was a really Spirit-filled combined cell group! :) Haha at the end, i took my brother's uniform to wear for the cell group meeting. It took me two safety pins to fit into his school pants alright!! It's a really really loose fit for me. xD Too bad so few from our cell group managed to turn up as somehow lotsa people had their own busy. :/ So here are the photos! Haha i just chose two of the photos out of the bunch. :) Think it isnt to go on a photo spree and spam the entire post with photos and tire your poor fingers from all the scrolling through of those massive pictures! :) I present to you....! My WUNDAFUL cell group, E488! :D Along with our fellow east-side cell group, E519!! LETS ALL GET ADDICTED TO THE PRESENCE OF GOD! SOOOOOO after that really really awesome cell group, it was my parents' wedding anniversary! :D no idea! :D so we popped by the Udders nearby my place! Surprisingly, they changed the layout of the place and it was really WEIRD wearing my brother's uniform to eat ice cream on wafafafaffles *drooooooools* not to mention it being oversized. The crazy amount of recruits who are having their one week break were totally looking at me in that baggy school uniform like as though my pants just dropped. and they have no idea that i am only 5 months awat from ord~ muahahahaha! I have no idea why the photo came out kinda blur, but the lighting there was really really bad. For the sake of ambience, my friend. Hmm i guess this is probably how i would look in my PJC uniform anyway! Along with that similar haircut, just much longer hair eh? the front and top pretty much stayed the same :) Seriously cannot wait to ORD man, i'm already feeling so sick of all of the work in camp already. where are the new signallers>?!?!?! >:( This saturday was another free saturday for me, and thank God it was so bright and sunny! leaving behind a really dry atmosphere for my spray paint to dry! :) I was back to spraying Aik's massive nerf gun! Its the biggest ever, the Centurion. Google image and you will know what i mean! It's still swallowing up a lot of paint, given the amount of parts to paint. and i am desperately trying to avoid the internals. though i am too lazy to cover them up with masking tape, or fully dismantle the blaster xD hey the internals are really hellish alright... Total pain if i dismantle everything, so i only removed selective parts! *total lazy donkey* So far.... spraying is going on pretty smoothly, no mistakes so far, wohoo! and yes i am definitely preserving the orange tip for legal reasons, so this blaster can be easily played out in the open. ah i use these sofa chairs to temporarily put my spray painting works to rest there. For convenience sake, so i dont have to keep running up and down the stairs just to take different parts down to spray paint! :) The masked up areas are the areas that i dont want to be spray painted. Really cant wait for the outcome! for this blaster, i opted more of the realistic-looking approach since Aik prefers his blasters that way :) Hehe when it is totally done painting, hopefully in the first week of october, i shall upload the photos of the finished product! really love the design of this blaster :D too bad it ain't mine xD Oops, i dirtied the floor... as in mum washed the floor with acid, making it sparkling clean. Therefore when i sprayed the top coats and black paint and stuff, this is what happened! :P usually after spray painting, the floor will look no different. i guess this is what happens when your floor is too clean! oh well....will probably scrub it later on after i am done spray painting which would be....NEVAAAAAR. On the other hand, my other nerf blaster, my beloved Titan, is almost done!! :D just a little more reinforcements to go and this whole be one crazy monster :P In this case, i need to orange-tape the tip. ah the red colour is appearing really different in this photo... it's a VERY dark red. Those who have seen my nerf blaster paint scheme before would know !
Now i can even be 'arrowed' army work to do on a sunday night through SMS. Seriously.

Recently, Gundam has released a new series which is Gundam Build Fighters!!
Previously, they had Gundam Age, which was kinda weird... and kinda too futuristic to my liking. Obviously mecha shows are futuristic, but sometimes the plot and stuff just seem too weird. The entire series of Gundam Age actually played through 3 generations of main characters which is...an overkill, though its a nice idea. The concept of Gundam Build Fighters is that people build Gunpla models, like meeee! :D and they put it on this battle system which creates a battle playing field. Kinda like a mash-up with Warhammer40k for those who are familiar with that game. For a clearer picture, or idea, you can watch the first episode HERE!! Best part is that now, the anime are in HD quality, so they are crystal clear! LOL how HD can anime get anyway, but i just love the crispness of the whole video :) Anime fans will know that when you watch various animes online, like the HUGELY popular Attack on Titans, you tend to watch it in i think 760p? Click the link to watch the first episode or, you can read on about my blabbering about gunpla, a lil on warhammer40k and model kits! Other than the gunpla factor that Gundam Build Fighters have surprised me with, i found the anime pretty light-hearted, not all those kinda lean mean killing machine or advanced humans, but just a simple school student who is really immersed into Gunpla building and his family owns a shop! Not just about being relate-able, i also did have quite nice laughs here and there especially during episode two. It's a whole new approach of Gundam, veering away from the traditional top-secret high performance mobile suits and whatnot. Even though i was initally pretty sceptical, i thought why not, no harm, just watch the first episode and see how it goes, and instantly fell in love with it! One thing that is really ouch ouch, is that in the battle, when the gundam arm breaks off, IT LITERALLY DOES for the model kit. OWWWWW.....that's the worst thing that can ever happen to a gunpla modeller alright! :(
For a game of warhammer40k, they have players on a battlefield, something like the photo below that i grabbed off google. I should like totally take photo of the battlefield that they have at Funan IT mall. There is this shop called Battle Bunker.
This is the battlefield,
and the players fill up the battlefield with props like mountains or damaged buildings, etc etc and they have a point/bonus system in place. Then they add in their forces/troops. of which i have no idea how! :D all i do with Warhammer40k is to use their expensive but nice and easy-to-use paint. :)
What particularly made me a fan of gundam is the various moral/ethics issues that may arise in the future due to war and conflicts, etc etc. as well as the proliferation of war and the seeking of eternal peace, etc. The later series after SEED, like 00 talks about humans trying to achieve a unified world with zero violence, which is pretty interesting! Gundam Age on the other hand is kinda weird. But i really love the new series, Build fighters, which talks about something very close to the hearts of gundam fans, which is gunpla modelling! Just so happen, i went shopping last weekend and looked at some gundam models, as well as snapped a pic or two, so lemme show you what's it like!
Erm this is how a Gundam Box looks like? provided it is some special version. As in it is not just the usual coloured kinda model kits for this kind. Or they could have clear plastic throughout, etc etc! i mean like why would i take a photo of an ordinary Gundam model kit box aye?
Ahhh i somehow loved how this model was done, so i took a photo of it! size comparison, it is like the size of your palm..?
Currently, i have 2 model kits in camp that are...still inside the box. Haven't found the time to fix them at all because of audit period. I managed to complete one model, the Eternal EX-model kit before this whole audit preparation started. It's still in camp so i cant take photo of it yet, wait for the day i bring it back then yeah! :P Oh and one more is still a Work In Progress. WIP. and yes i am doing these on top of the nerf blaster projects (previous post has some updates on those) that i am currently working on. :D The various photos below are the photos of the last model kit that i did when i was still in BMT, every time i booked out, i would go back home to do up this model kit! i took a total of about 5 month's worth of book out to complete this! :) Ahhhh that's what my table looks like in the past, kinda messy eh? did i tell you that THAT'S my studying table? hahaha that's why i choose to study in school instead. The backdrop....consists of some of the various tools/materials that i use for plastic modelling, i dont always just depend on whatever that is inside the kit. Sunday, October 13, 2013
ahahah so what does it mean when i say a free weekend? :) it means that...i have absolutely no plans for the weekend!! :D that...is extremely hard to come by and something that i have always wanted all along. Well since sunday is taken up because of church, then i am left with saturday. Somehow, one way or another, my saturday will somehow be filled by some errands that i have to run or church events and stuff. Not saying that they are bad, but its like wohoo! a saturday whereby i can simply stay at home and chill :) hmm most of the time, my chilling = either downloading music, i have like a gazillion more songs to download since i deleted my whole library of songs. or i would be fixing nerf guns as usual! xD ahhh i haven't been catching much on my nerf gun, other than a modded firestrike that i did in camp. too bad i forgot to take a photo of the nerf gun before it left my possession! :( i gave it to Jerome Jr in my cell group. OKAY i will probably ask for a photo of it or something. i really loved how the whole blaster turned out after it was done! next time then i shall upload a before/after comparison to show you the difference. or maybe i will just make another one! with my standard colour scheme... idea.DID YOU KNOW that there is actually a program that you can use in the internet to download all of your instagram photos that you have once uploaded into instagram?? For those people who are wondering just how on earth do you save the photos that you have posted on instagram with all those lovely dandy filters, help is here! :P *advertisement mode* Instead of browsing through your phone folder directories you can use a web program instead! Its called instaport. i usually use this whenever i am too lazy to find that instagram folder in my phone and manually choose the photo that i want. Instead, for this program, you simply log in with your insta account, with the web browser, follow the steps and viola! you can download whatever you want in a VERY short moment! moreover, They put everything into a zip file for you so its extremely easy to use. Thanks to fast download speeds i always download ALL of my insta photos and then i simply delete my previous folder. hah :P lazy to the max. Anyway, here is the LINK for you to go to. And again, it's called instaport. :) go check it out! Anyway, this week has been a really really boring week! Almost all of the signallers were out...so im pretty much left alone in camp lololol. but anyway, still had a TON of auditing work to finish up. pffft like seriously, audit period is probably the worst time ever in my NS life. I would WAYYY prefer going for maybe 2x field camps instead of having to go through those stupid paperwork man. seriously hate paperwork, moreover i thought that the work we had to go through were those from jan 2013, but we're supposed to start checking from Nov last year onwards! :( horrible. i know technically i'm being paid by the army so i should be doing work....but this sucks. -_-"' oh by the way, i still have that workload since it isn't done yet....but at least i'm about half done! :D sickening! :D ahhh i kinda regret having deleted my previous music library.... it's super troublesome to update all of the songs as well as my itouch. Given that even nowadays i dont have much time to do these sort of downloads. Hmmm moreover now vivian has jio-ed me to play L4D, hahaa i know its a really old game, but it's fun when you play with friends! i have the original on steam, but i never really enjoyed playing online as even though i team up with my brother, most of the time, we lose because the other half of the team would be made up of weird people. -.- you find yourself exclaiming "why do you run into the entire horde?!?!?" or.. "WHY YOU SHOOT THE CAR" and then the dumb fella will probably melee (weird spelling) another car and set off another alarm. Hah here is the spray painting that i am going to be doing for Aik Sheng's nerf gun! :D the centurion. so far, it has already drunk one full can of black spray paint. O.o pretty amazing man. and it's just the base coat. God knows how much paint this blaster is going to swallow. i actually had to go out to get more paint lmao. This weekend has been really well spent as i really got the chance to practice LOADS of piano! ^^ I didnt really manage to perform that well for my piano lesson earlier in the week, but am glad that i think i am going to do a much better job this time round during lesson this tuesday! wohoo tues is a public holiday!! :D how rare! too bad i still have to go to camp! annoying! i really wanted to take leave -.- currently for piano wise... i am learning the duet in the movie "The Secret". It's quite a nice movie, typical jay chou movie lmao. I am not a fan of chinese movies, but during sec school, our music teacher let us watch that movie during music period so we're like coooool!! might as well just watch. Anyway, i dont think people still play the recorder anymore huh? it's probably some ancient relic now. anyway, here is the song that i am learning with my piano teacher now, though she can just sight read the whole thing UNFAIRRR. I grabbed this photo off instagram, which is why it's SQUARE! hmm apparently this poor blaster of mine is broken! :( sobs.... my hardworkkkkkkk. this is one of my favourite blasters. but anyway, utilising this pretty free weekend, i managed to spend some time working on the blaster, making sure that the air seal and tubings can withstand the high pressure. Hopefully by next weekend...i can complete some additional reinforcements here and there. See how it goes and i am going to leave the whole thing a good week to cure xD *super overkill* since i will be in camp, might as well!
I just got back my nerf roughcut today, so who knows what am i going to be doing to these two blasters...
hint* it's a pretty simple mod!

Gee every single time i type October, with a capital O in front, i always end up typing it as OCtober! now this is getting super annoying because so far, i have never gotten it right! All the time when i keep creating a new directory for October, i never got it right. -.- even the very first october in this post was typed wrongly and i had to call the backspace button for help D: ANYWAY, October is off to a great start! :D eh i feel kinda bipolar whenever i have "D:" and ":D" in sentences that are next to each other. Like what in the world is wrong with me?!Need some nice piano accompliment music while you read? :) This is One Summer's Day by Joe Hisahi, in short, Spirited away soundtrack. darn a grand piano looks so boss! First of october was Deanna's birthday! eh what was, it still is! But just that this year, it is her 21st!! :DD oh i so remember me being all sickly on my twentyfirst. THIS WOMAN, is forever working!! i have no idea how she does that, like she can work past into the midnight and be as though its all normal and acceptable. Make me work anything after office hours and you'll find a dead colleague tomorrow. -_-"' *violent tendencies* but yeah I think its kinda horrible to keep on working so much. HAHA i guess maybe i am a born slacker #slacker4life I would always try my best to kill as many birds as i can with one stone, simplifying whatever systems that are already in place to make my life easier. hmm i heard that there is such a university degree for that? ah but i dont remember what is it called. It's like these people would be invited by companies to scrutinise their workplan and see how things can be improved. or even infrastructures O.o Never like the idea of working past my working hours, but if i have to then yeah....if not i would always try and rush everything just before 5pm latest. but since i am forgetful.... :D i do forget i have work at times heheeeee. Since we're talking about Deanna over here, and its her 21st, we surprised her at her workplace on monday! :D where else would she be at on a monder night lol. When i met up with the rest of the birthday coordinators, i asked joshua "how many peeps are coming later?" and he replied with TEN. i was like WHATTT so many even though most of our cell group members are having exams?! errr turned out it was other leaders from other cell groups. i was shocked that Pastor Edmund turned up too! somehow i wasn't expecting him. Sheesh i seem to become increasingly blur in my day-to-day life. :/ Even though she is already going to take over our cell group and lead us, Deanna has become so busy because of her work in church. Wonder how it's like working full time in church, but the lack of colleagues is probably gonna kill me. Really grateful for this woman! TWENTY ONE ALREADY LEH. despite her being always so busy and unable to lead e488, thankfully there is our wonderful Seow Shi to help us!! :D :D awesome seow shi!! but as shi is leading us, deanna is always working so hard. I've never met a person who can tank so much of these workloads and so little sleep but yet able to continue so tirelessly and yet NOT COMPLAIN. like WOW who in the world can not complain or lament over such stuff?!?! Can you imagine yourself working till super late on your birthday?? not to mention it's your 21st! truly respect someone who can just continue to work non stop man.... lmao i spent half of my 21st recuperating in bed. xD comparison. Darn i feel old :/ Well seow shi told me that damn is a bad word, so i am trying my best not to use it! though darn as a replacement now sounds REALLY weird alright. maybe i should heed her advice and use gummybear instead eh? Gummybear you! erm sounds pretty cute Cool part is that i took off for deanna's birthday celebration! how it works is that on her birthday itself, i didnt take off, but for the day off rather. So this allows me to hang out real late into the night instead of having to worry of rushing back to camp! plus i get to wake up late. (y) thank God i did that man. On the same day that i took leave, the auditors barged into my bunk while the rest were sleeping. (Like seriously) At least say hi. lmao i didnt even know they came! and my area was in such a mess hah. ah but it's sparkling clean now after CO mentioned that he wants to check the bunks tomorrow morning. Oh gummybear, it's about time i went to practice piano! :( okok gotta faster finish up this blog post! While i was enjoying the birthday celebration and eating cake, others like Kidsluvclowns were busy working out in the gym in the mornin! What was i doing.... BAM! Now i feel so sinful after eating these food after deanna's celeration! as it was past midnight, we were pretty undecided on what to eat for supper, ended up settling for Hong Kong cafe as we were still at suntec convention hall! Oh and i thought that the starbucks and macdonalds still opened till very late in the night but i was wrong! apparently sometime along the way while i was serving my NS, they changed their closing times :( It was so nice to hang out late there at times, especially when it is a normal working day! Hehe look at the photo man... dessert dessert all over! :D i really coudn't finish the whole tower of mango dont know what. Seriously after eating the ice cream at the top, i was pretty full! xD nowadays i eat soooo little...which is a good thing eh! saves moneh! Somehow, i am just feeling so tired today after church, exceedingly tired for no reason. BLEAH. and there wasn't even bible study but yet i am even more tired. That's weird...even after having an awesome sleep last night! Seems like insomnia hits me pretty bad, i always take forever to fall asleep and somehow every time i am on my bed, thoughts begin to rush into my head and I begin thinking about just about everything! from how can i possibly modify my nerf guns, to wondering how my friends are coping with their lives, sometimes on whatever issues of which aren't on my fingertips now. HAHAHA yessssss like finally the game i have been waiting for all the while for year 2013 is finally out! no its not GTA five, neither is it Watch Dogs or TitanFall, its Battlefield 4!! :D :D all the while i have been wondering, just what can DICE offer us since BF3 is already so awesome. well i preordered BF4 and have beta access! i started downloading the file at about 11am? it took me just about 20mins to download the whole of BF4 into my computer. too bad i couldnt play it yet since it hasn't been released. anyway, in my last post, i was worrying about the possibility of really slow download speeds, because that is so present in any game that does a world-wide launch. some of you guys may even remember the agonsing wait to download maplestory when they changed over to version 2 or something like that. The wait is probably even longer than for D-day to come! so kudos to DICE for making the download speeds so fast! i was really stunned by the speed of which my download bar moved.SAY HELLO TO BF4 BETA!! i went to be my busy for the afternoon and when i was back home, finally, after an unprecedented-unaccomplished afternoon, which really really spoilt my day off, i managed to get access to gameplay. like finally!! however, i ran with some issue, which is the graphic card being outdated. i was like WHATTT don't tell me i cant play BF4?! it's like some De ja vu for battlefield 3. What happened for 3 is that i had a desktop which could support it, however the OS was still win2000, good old win2k which didnt allow me to play the game and buying one copy is so expensive... Then i have a notebook too! its powerful which enough RAM and it is windows seven. like wohoo! but i realised that it doesnt have enough graphic card juice :( so nope #phailed. so it took me A LOT of time to get a new computer, with the help of my fellow 30SCE office warrior, Hernando. :) now my computer is able to play BF3 with just 33% memory used! xD so i usually let it run multiple bots to play other games for me at the same time. lol. When i loaded my first game, i DCed because my graphic card driver was updated which triggered my WHATTT?!?! bell in my head. i downloaded the beta of the new version (kinda complicated here) driver and failed. No way my graphic card cant support BF4 man!!! then i tried the latest update for the driver which isn't the beta one and it worked! xD I think they mentioned that you need at least AMD radeon HD4500-5000 minimum to play Four. I ran a check on mine and my graphic card runs at HD7800 so PHEW! i think this can go through Five too, if it is released :P Look at how packed the servers are!! okay how it works is that in BF4 beta, there are a few designated servers that are able to be used to play. So far on my side, i've seen/received mixed info on when is it gonna be released to the rest, but i must say it is a lot harder to play! will go more in depth later, but if you notice here, in the screenshot below, lol now i have 3 friends online! i can only access asia-located servers which are 90% Jap and 10% SG. like thats all. lmao. The beta map for us to play around is pretty nice just that i find there is really a lack of cover. especially after everyone starts blowing everything up with their given m230. now for medics, they need to work for 10k points before unlocking the defibrillator. so now everyone has a med kit and m230 loadout unless you play for a substantial time. What is my take on the gameplay so far? well since beta players at this stage are the more hardcore players, their skill level is indeed above average, making it pretty tough for me! Those people spot targets from afar really well man. target = me running and jumping across the street. Really really cool interactive map that you have there, DICE! but really sometimes its TOO messy. such that it really obstructs the walking/running of the character. Like when something blows up, even the small fragments were obstructing my movements. more realistic indeed, but i would very much prefer to do without this feature, like so in BF3. Other than that... if you get used to the AK12 that you start with, gameplay is pretty much similar to hardcore mode in terms of the damage you do. When i first started, it was pretty much me shooting at everything except the player -_-"' getting used to the new interface and gun recoil. i usually use semi sniper rifles instead. Somehow even though controls and skeleton remains the same, SOMEHOW it just feels so different! maybe it's because of the map. There is considerably more variables now though since the map interacts more with you :) like glaring lights and stuff. gets annoying sometimes, but i guess maybe we should start wearing sunglasses when playing BF4! :D LOOK AT THAT. FIRST ROUND FAIL. i'm bonesharkie btw. LOL. some of them have really good skill! just look at the first player like how in the world.... *uninstalls BF4* jkjk!! have fun and keep gaming! :D |
