Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.

I am about 5 months away from ORD-ing from NS! Lots of me have changed over the course of my national service, especially the physical portion! hehe i have lost about 20+kg alright maybe next time i should upload some photos taken before and after NS perhaps. but that's not what i want to talk about! so throughout this entire course... i have had to stay in camp for 3 saturdays so far. To be more exact, its two half-saturdays as confinements (because of wrongdoings) and one full saturday which was yesterday! tell ya more about it later. Anywayfor the two half saturdays, the first half was in BMT! well that was because there was one evening that we got so tired from training, and as one of the term in the army, "you wait to rush, rush to wait", we soon found ourselves lying down on the concrete ground, which is like a mini parade square! i seriously forgot the term that they used during BMT but anyway, punishment was dished out at us. hahaha that was indeed really looking for trouble xD on a sidenote, we booked out like saturday 9am? LOL not really a confinement eh? The second time was during my time in 30SCE. that is considered one of the lowest points in my life due to the unreasonable sergeants that i had, in addition to the serious injury that i sustained during my last moments in BMT, shattering my chances for command school. I was so pissed off with how horrible the system was and how oppressed that i simply created a massive maze (hurray for awesome idea!) within the shared database and slotted in some important folders somewhere into the maze. Somehow, i got found out and was "awarded" one day confinement. My recollection of that place is just filled with lots of negativity, other than the really awesome Captain Adam who was the unit's S2, who is a really good officer who personally protected us! us = me and my fellow mate in 30SCE who followed me to signal institute and became a signaller too! hope he is living a much better life now man....
Now on to the first saturday that i spent in camp! This time round it was for a really different purpose, as the news mentioned, one RSAF personnel passed away overseas and i was part of the firing squad for the funeral. It was really an eye opener for me, not that anyone wants such an eye opener, but rather throughout my time as a scout during primary school all the way till my first year in junior college, i have been exposed to LOTS of footdrill! it's a really scary amount, participating in soooo many various parades. i once did a rough estimate of the number of hours i spent on footdrill and got a massive shock. though i have forgotten the numbers xD like wowowow whats the point of me mentioning it in the first place. This however is entirely different. And it was initially quite scary, because instead of people watching from afar at a platoon of 30+ personnel, this time round you are looking at just SIX of us! and i must say AR15 drills are a whole lot harder than SAR21 drills! (yes, in the air force, we use AR15 instead of the SAR21.) T.T when our command chief first performed the drills, our jaws dropped and triggered a mini earthquake. we were like NO WAYYY how is that drill even possible to carry out?! but i am glad that after two days of training, we managed to get it right alright! :) and i am proud to say that we managed to give a solid footdrill on the final moments. phew. It was a really eye opening experience for me, once is more than enough man. i would never forget the moments when we learnt the drills and the execution of drills, the firing of blank rounds.
i seriously hate the new setting of youtube, whereby the video quality is always set to auto, and they are giving me like 240-360p...hello! im using fibre optic, cant you at least "auto" better?! okay i know this change took place a loooong time ago, but i never said anything bout it. and the ads for youtube videos are really a pain in the arse....oh my God, this blog post seems to be a really wordy one eh! heheh anyway BATTLEFIELD4 is coming out!!! WOHOOOO on this coming tuesday! xD totally cant wait to be able to download it and start playing man :P hehe see how it goes on tues~ wonder how fast would the downloads be, since everyone is probably gonna start downloading it like mad! maybe i should wait for friday before playing eh...
you'll be like WOWWWWWWW
just look at the crisp detail that they have! too bad they dont have my favourite map, dont know exactly what are the game modes and maps they are gonna be having though.. plus there are loads of players on battlefield3 and would be such a waste if they didnt join us over in 4. :( what i really love is that the environment interacts pretty well, like the whole building crashing, the disabled warship running unto ground, like HOW COOOOOL :DD cant wait to test it out! too bad beta fellas just get 3 extra days -.- like what's the whole exclusivity of people who have early access to the game mann.... plus im probably gonna be spending those three days in camp rotting!
haha to make up for the loss of photos to liven up this blog post, i bring you one of my favourite piano pieces that.. i am considering on whether to learn! okay this is a really hard piece i think! have yet to read the scores or do a try run on my piano though.
It is actually from the anime Mirai Nikki, hmmm its quite a hilarious anime to watch, other than it being grossly disturbing, by far the most disturbing anime i've ever watched. like a quarter of the time i am wondering just what in the world are the creators thinking?! so yeah its more of an adult anime -_-
i am NOT a soccer fan, will probably NEVER be one, but this ad for FIFA14 is really good! :D and its worth a check out!
Geee i wonder what else have i done for this week? :/ darn..... i dont even remember much of it! that's sad... last week seemed WAY more eventful! OH YES i nearly forgot! haha i had bible study today, and we had a mini drama put up by 4 individuals to showcase about what we are not supposed to do in friendships! :) haha the drama was really cute!! seriously i wonder how they come up with such nice speeches and scripts here and there D: after BS, i went to praise them for the job well done, really, the drama always entertains me! GOOD JOB drama peeps if you happen to see this blog post! ^^ then, Gwen asked me if i wanted to try doing the next drama if there's one! hahaha ahhhh frankly speaking i think i am probably a bad actor... but no harm trying eh? :D #YOLO just take that step of faith Ming Yang! or mian yang, for those peeps who have been calling me that in the early morning! :) we were supposed to have breakfast and book seats for the ell group for the main service, but by the time we bought food and went up, the doors already opened! see la, late!! haiyo. but no choice no choice, luckily, we managed to find a pretty nice row of seats! ^^ looks like i am probably gonna reach church at 8am every week, regardless of whether i am serving or not :P thank God that nowadays, i only need to serve alternate weekends! although somehow it doesnt feel like it O.o

OKAY, so today, or rather tonight, one of my good friends Charlene, asked me to try out this personality test! okay from my perspective, it seems to be prevalent in girls/women that they love to do these personality tests! and i as a guy, *peeks into pants* YUP have to idea why so, but its quite interesting! its fun to do these once in a while. so now this time round, i got introduced to the Jung Typology Test, you can try doing the test here and see what's the result that you get!So now who in the world invented this? It was none other than Carl Jung. erm this kinda reminds me of all those random a maths theorems that i come across in my secondary school textbook! okay example example, physics, who came up with Newton's Third Law of Motion! Newton! :D Hence in the future, if i come up with a new theory, its gonna be called Ming Yang's theorem! :D just as what my a math tutor back in school used to poke fun of me after i solve some a math question by my own randomly-made up theories. sigh. a quick google on carl jung and this test came up with this! "The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. These preferences were extrapolated from the typological theories proposed by Carl Gustav Jung and first published in his 1921 book Psychological Types (English edition, 1923). Jung theorized that there are four principal psychological functions by which we experience the world: sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking. One of these four functions is dominant most of the time." IF YOU CANT SEE THE SCREENSHOTS, CTRL+LEFT MOUSE CLICK to see the enlarged version!! This is how it should look like after you click the link! Simply start the test/quiz by clicking the button that i have an arrow pointed to. Not bad right!! i drew that arrow alright! #cheapthrill if its even considered. Anyway, the quiz is a simple yes/no questionnare about your perceptions, Anyway, i found myself looking at a really long questionnaire guess it looks long because they just flooded the entire page with the questions instead of splitting it up into a few pages. Anyway, that aside, upon completing the quiz, they told me that i missed out one question! xD oh well. i ended up going back and finding that blank part that i missed out. That missing question didnt really change the outcome of the quiz and didnt change my personality outcome. It's not supposed to change my personality i suppose! i mean its just one question, not substantial enough to change such a conclusion aye.
Upon completion of the test, i found myself to be a ENFJ! What in the world is ENFJ....after reading moderate preference of blah blah blah....THEY'RE ALL MODERATE. so what's that supposed to mean?! okay maybe girls know what it's supposed to mean. i'm stereotyping over here.. so question 45 states this:
You think that almost everything can be analyzed
And my answer was yes! So... naturally, i asked Charlene, so hey what does that mean?! i mean to me its just moderate in everything, along with some percentages thrown into it. (particular me made sure the percentages added up to 100%) so she introduced to me this website, http://www.16personalities.com/type-descriptions which describes pretty extensively on the nature and characteristic of each personality outcome! which is cooool. hahahaha okay all i bothered to read was mine, ENFJ and my bro's which is INTP. apparently we are nearly total opposites. Our age gap is 3 years! Okay then again i think it has nothing got to do with the age gap. pictured below is a screenshot of the webby link!
Ah which reminds me, i really hate it when websites have these pictures all over the place, MASSIVE pictures and they are actually hyperlinked. -_-"' how annoying! Moving on, i clicked on mine, ENFJ and found out some interesting stuff about my "race"! now i feel like we're gonna be classifying ourselves into classes of humans. too much of sci-fi movies on my side i guess. all ISTP people will be grown up to be construction workers! all INTP people will be the researchers coming up with new formulas and advancing technologies! okay kidding kidding. ah but sci-fi movies or animes are really nice to watch! recently, ive started to re-watch Gundam 00 season one and two, loading it all into my phone and using a VLC media player lets me watch em on the go instead :) Also, i've started on another anime, guilty crown! after the first episode...it looks moderately interesting to continue watching it eh.
On a side note, i got really really hooked onto the piano version of the opening song! its extremely hard to play leh... i just downloaded the scores and read through them...i have no idea how long am i going to take to learn this song man...so perhaps i am going to give it a miss? i dont know...most likely eh..since i am raely learning a really hard song right now! It's best to listen to this piece with a pair of headphones! wohoo, my steel series siberia v2 headphones rock! xD haha maybe one day i should do a post on my desktop loadout :P
So that's mine! lol that only two percent of the human population are actually ENFJ. like whaaaaaat :D just TWO percent?! Also, leaders tend to have the same personality! In a nutshell, we are optimistic people. Overly optimistic. We tend to be good in analysing our own feelings...true true! Ah but its kinda sad that we can analyse and more easily empathise with others, while it doesnt work the other way? It's like "oh man! i feel short changed!" but i guess that's life eh? "An ENFJ teacher or a coach can have a strong positive effect on many people’s lives as well." well the opposite is true too eh! xD well it is true that we are optimistic idealists but that's what make leaders, leaders. Because of their over optimism, they tend to downplay the risks that are actually involved in a situation/decision, hence going ahead with a risky option unlike what a conventional person would do. Sometimes, that extra risk taking is necessary to break new grounds ;) Sunday, September 22, 2013
Last week has been a really really busy week! actually i am busy for every weekend, but not necessarily every weekday THANKFULLY. but i think the upcoming weeks are gonna be keeping me real busy with the settling for my future studies. as troublesome as it seems, i have to make a decision on what to do with my future :) i really really miss those JC days when you dont even have to think on what you have to do, but rather all you need to do is to study hard, and complete your homework! in my opinion, it beats racking your brains on what to do in future. But anyway before i go on rambling on what i have on the table for my future, lemma tell ya what happened during the whole week! This is the week whereby after all the planning for our battery cohesion (army), it has finally happened! many would be able to understand the feeling of having planned for an event and watching it come to past. Ah frankly speaking if there is no incentive in doing the planning for cohesion, i doubt i will be taking it on so willingly like as such xD but oh well, im glad that after ironing out the hiccups and enquiring from the sentosa staff who...havent been quite helpful due to the accuracy of information given and them pushing us from department to department, just like any other corporation, we kinda just ended up changing plans instead.
so....on monday, me and yun chang, my fellow camp mate who is a GBAD (Ground Based Air Defence) operator, had to make a trip down to sentosa itself to buy entrance tickets. since its a pretty large group...thought we would have to mass buy, according to the info given by Sentosa. anyway, we grabbed our officer's car and drove down from camp to sentosa! funny thing is because of the laggy GPS unit in the car, we found ourselves in NUS instead of Sentosa. LOLOL its like the GPS gave us really badly estimated distances and delayed instructions. ie "Turn left at the upcoming junction" would be said when we cross the stop line at the junction like lol yeah we're totally gonna react to that in time xD i guess its probably gonna be more for us to look at the map and discern it for ourselves. but anyway, we finally found ourselves in Sentosa and managed to find the corporate office, after making a detour at Marina Cove. It feels kinda boss being able to drive freely around outside of camp during typical office hours, when us NSFs would find ourselves cooped up in out camp.
UGH the christian radio i used to listen to, todayschristianmusic.com....somehow i cant listen to it anymore cuz they dont support my region. >:( come on, its the internet!! and its not like its pornography or something else illegal alright! its something good in fact! ugh.
Getting back, after spending half the day driving around the different locations, as the Sentosa people directed us from one branch to another, we ended up going back to camp without buying any entrance tickets. like uber fail man -.- luckily i am doing this during my NS time, if not i'm gonna be so pissed as they wasted my time!! Friday was the actual cohesion, and there were some hiccups and confusion here and there because yeah it was kinda complicated, but oh well! at least i'm glad my fellow guys enjoyed the cohesion! :) learnt some stuff during this whole planning thing, so yeah awesome! :D cohesion was built around childhood games, so many of them had the chance to play those good old childhood games once again, like skipping rope with rubberbands tied together, or eraser flipping games! those good old nostalgic days of ours :P nowadays, kids just glue their face to the iPad screens. sigh! even many adults are guilty of being addicted to their smart phones, always surfing facebook as long as they have free time in the train/bus. Poor kids, its like they are having their childhood and eyesight lol being stolen away right in front of them. They have no idea what they are missing out man, the interactions we used to have with our classmates while playing those eraser flipping games, or five stones or chapteh!
I was listening to this song when blogging, so you might want to play the song and continue reading the blog post! i suspect this one is gonna be a pretty wordy one :)
That's the trio! after what is left of the clique of closely-knitted together peeps. i had this really really awesome clique of good friends who are really fun to be with and we did all sorts of crazy stuff! Moreover, we are from different JCs and polytechnics but yet are able to click so well and all come from different backgrounds! but because of tertiary studies, work, etc etc one by one begin to fleet away and get busy with their lives, trying to forge their own future. Sadly, i guess there will come to a day when people would have to part and this is pretty much the time! luckily, Jireh is only going to be gone for 4 years... by then i would have finished my studies in most likely SIM. Gonna most probably be doing a degree in Psychology in University at Buffalo. Charlene, the only girl in the picture used to be like a mum to me in the past, hence she is "mum"! and jireh is charlene's "mum"! okay age check, i am one year younger than both of them, that makes me 21 and them 22. so technically, jireh is me "grandma" LOL okay lets not go there, but yeah, in four years time! i wonder what we would all be doing, will we all still be in the same clique, will i still be blogging away. so much uncertainties but that's life. Tuesday was the first day or rather night that i had my piano lesson! its been a really long while since i had a teacher for piano. hahaha when i told my friends in camp and around me that i am going for piano lesson, they all thought i was giving piano lessons! nono i just wanna learn all those really hard piano pieces because they happen to sound nice, and i am having difficulties, learning by myself is really slow so i got a teacher to aid me, and SHE IS GOOOD. the last time i had piano lessons was when i was in my first year in JC. My JC path was three years long because i retained. It was only in my repeat year and J2 was i forced to drop piano because i was spending a considerable time on the piano instead of studies. i really really LOVE to play the piano alright! so i was forced to stop piano lessons, but still continued to practice at home and in school, still continued with the various performances in PJC and those were really fun! got loads of exposure from there man. From solos, to piano duets, duets or triplets with strings or accompaniment music for singing, my GP teacher was the singer btw. and impromptu playing or simply background music, i had loads of fun with the piano during my JC days! sadly, because my parents felt that studies were more important, they practically killed a large portion of my passion for piano. ever since my JC days, i have been playing the piano about thrice a week? down from daily because of my stay-in in army requirements. and learning new songs on my own is pretty hard at times! Thank God i dont have to go through the trouble of hopping through different piano teachers, the first one i got is really really good! so yeap yeap i managed to cover a large portion of the scores, and evened out all my errors in the song, for some reason i cannot find the same scores on youtube anymore. NUUU luckily, i downloaded the mp3 version before it was taken down. Its been very long since i last taped myself playing the piano, but i guess i dont think i am going to be doing that in the near future, not until i learn new pieces! so currently what am i doing for piano? i am learning leisurely! i stopped at grade 7, but have no intention to continue with the grading system until i am able to find more time to practice (sounds impossible in the near future) i shall explain in the next blog post why it seems so impossible even after my NS. but anyway, i am still really glad that i found a new piano teacher! guess it was the right move to do, to go for new blood instead of going back to my previous piano teacher as i found myself plateauing. Will probably do one more blog post in camp when i have the time to do so! ^^ really hope i do have the time to churn out one more blog post which is gonna explain why i am going to be kept pretty busy for the upcoming weeks! i am most probably going to book in early tonight... really too tired out, need some much needed sleep! :( but before that, i'm gonna hit the piano! wohoo! hope practice goes smooth! Wow is this the first time i actually do a blog post for my activities on the weekdays?? woah.
*WARNING SHODDY POST ALERT*
okay actually its because ive been too busy to actually update this blog post... :(
I really really want to go for SOT, but then again im wondering like is it possible for me to manage all of the workload? plus i pretty much can't do without piano! :( What am i going to be doing in SOT? im going to learn more about the bible, learn how to preach, which sounds challenging! drafting sermon notes...which sounds cool! hmmm do i learn how to lead worship? no idea. oh i remember there are mock cell group meetings too! really, i tried giving myself bible study, which sounds kinda stupid, but when rehearsing, it's actually quite hard alright! Its WAYYYYY harder than teaching all those typical subjects in school alright. -.- guess i am probably not used to it yet! plus that's probably also the reason why there are some preachers who are REALLY good! ^^ Somehow, in life, even though we have learnt a lot of things, in school, there are still a whole lot more to learn out there! luckily, i have this time of national service, as a buffer period for me to slowly decide on what's the path that i am going to take. Instead of the girls whereby they usually go straight away and enrol into the next intake for uni, us guys have more time to decide! so technically NS is a legal excuse for us guys to.... grab a subway sandwich and slowly decide on what to do with the upcoming years of our life!
Anyway, i shall just skip to the 2 pictures that i took. actually maybe i took a lot more but oh well im lazy, and i wanna do the next blog post instead! :P
anyway, congrats to Vivian, the one on top and claria for staying strong during the SOT curriculum! heard its really really hard alright... Hey hey yes i do know that i look SUPER RETARDED in the photo with claria but oh well YOLO. dear God please change this face of mine. hahahah JKJK!

OMG OMG okok so sorry for the no-post for last weekend, been too busy last weekend! hmm... I always blog on sunday, which...is sadly the last day of the weekend :( i kinda think that blogging on the saturday will be a lot better? but then again most of my "interesting life" comes when i am outside camp :P really! so its like 2 days out of the 7 are interesting :P lately.... i have been really busy with nerf projects... sigh the prototype that i am working on broke again. so darn sickening! everything that i do doesnt seem to be working, its like just so tempted to replace the internals completely instead of trying to salvage it. salvaging it has cost me TONS of braincells. sigh. anyway, on to the more interesting stuffs, i went for World War T last saturday! it was a really fun and tiring event! that was one of the first times that i have ran in a long while, ever since my injury. currently, im trying to run and see how things work out for my knee! also... last week was more of a test week for my knee and it handled all those stress during exercises pretty well! :D tried cycling and running, cycling was good, running wasn't really that good. Gotta work more on my cardio. hmmm i wanted to swim actually, but the naval diving unit was using it! first time ever seeing them there but oh well. poor mono-intake peeps. plus trust me, when you're in NS, stuck in camp, what else beats laying in the pool and suntanning, (while the poor lifeguard seats in a shaded area and reads his book). really priviledged to have an olympic sized swimming pool. coupled with a hot sun and hooooo~! just that you're still in camp.World War T is actually a nerf war organised by my church subzone! its a first of a kind, and my oh my was it a success! it was really fun filled, and we got to build greater ties amongst each other! church isnt all about being all-so-spiritual, but also about having fun! we had three types of activities to play, round robin style, so we gotta play each type twice. i have footage for two of the events! wasnt the photographer, so dont expect any photos from me! when you're really having fun and playing, you dont usually do recordings of the gameplay, so... i came up with an idea! :D mount the camera on the blaster! which...er lotsa vibrations when recording since you're running with the camera! plus its kinda heavy too, but its still so cool! especially the footage :) hehe here is the footage of one of the games that i played! hmmm you can try fast forwading here and there, frankly speaking i dont have the time to edit the video now, so this is the raw version! do take note though that towards the end of the video, there is a portion that the camera hits the grass and YEAP thats all! so dont just keep watching it. hehe. it was recorded with a Sony (wohoo! go sony!!) cybershot i think?so the footage is clear enough for HD and full screen :P *managed to fill the second half of the video with annotations because its messier during that part!* think you're gonna need to pause the video here and thereeeee at the start, i was panning around showing my team members! there were Chen Peng, hope i get that name right, then there is Vivian as well as jolly! who have been my awesome cell group mates all these while! oh and there is one guy from another cell group, because the event is for two cell groups, E488 and E519~! both are eastern cell groups! with the capital E :) hahaha this match is capture the flag, we have to get to the other end of the playing field, grab the opponent's flag and bring it back to base! hard part is bringing it back. we were up against really small small kids, primary school? woah! i tell ya they can be even harder than fighting against the older ones alright! because they are full of energy -_-"' surprisingly, a lot of people actually find nerf really fun! although it is created for kids aged 9+, you have college students in the US playing with it, you have us teenagers having so much fun with it! This match was pretty epic, because it was sudden death, so what happens is which ever team that can get the other flag whilst having their own flag in base immediately wins! you can pretty much see the gameplay in the second half of the video. phew and i managed to squeeze in some time to do the captions and stuffs :) Had a really really enjoyable time!! hahah and then there was part two on the next day sunday, which i only played for a while, as i had to help out with barbecue for another event! :D haha its my first time helping out to barbecue food for another cell group, as in so far i only done BBQs that are for cell group or subzone. like my cell group actually is there, whereas this time round it was for a totally different event! which was really interesting, learnt and had fun with my fellow subzone members! also because there werent any of my cell group members there, i was forced, in a good way to work with others who arent in my cell group! ya know, during such events, we usually stick closer to our cell group members, but this time round, no chance to, but i also get to fellowship with others, those who live in the north! Ah thats benjamin! i got to know him during the mid year church camp, but other than that, we chat rarely on a weekly basis, unless we happen to bump into each other in church! but because of this bbq, its how i get to know these awesome "Northeners" better!! Sunday, September 01, 2013
lmao like seriously which weekend am i not busy?! somehow, my weekends will be automatically filled up with errands to run, and events. haha everytime i tell myself that i'm gonna go gaming, play some BF3, i end up being busy with something else on the day itself xD sigh sigh its like as though when you grow older, you have more responsibilities, more stuff to do. Damn i so miss the days when i used to be a student, just schooling at Pioneer Junior College and not worrying about anything, other than those piles of homework that teachers give, and i not do. Especially so for math homework. wow speaking of which, i really really hate math! somehow, we are forever at loggerheads. Guess i do much better in Arts subjects but oh well my JC days are over and now its about looking ahead. Its like when you're schooling, life is really simple and you dont really have much stuff to decide, everything's been done for ya, unlike now whereby you have to make decisions, with this finite time that i have, what am i going to do? Focus on self development or just simply enjoy life right now. (National Service life) Even though many argue that NS is a waste of time, plus it burns off 2 years of our prime 20s, its a really good time for us to slow down and think about what we want to do in the future, giving us some time to consider the options and somewhat take a break from the hectic lifestyle out there. Frankly speaking, i have NO idea how i am going to survive working out there in future after Uni life but i'm just gonna leave that up to God! omggg when is the next signaller coming in so that i can really start slackinggggg. Things can get pretty tiring in camp at times!Lol actually, life would be slightly easier if my camp computer, OA computer has half the RAM and processing power of my home computer and i can just keep on blasting worship music in camp :P I kinda find working while blasting music a whole lot more enjoyable, like now, i'm blasting Christian radio while blogging! while my aged-incek seems to prefer it quiet i think! though he's kind enough to allow me to play some out loud at times :) #reasonableencikrocks. Life has been pretty trying for me, surprisingly, even though there is this whole city harvest case, and everyone seems a tad worn out from the problems they are facing in life, somehow just somehow, these problems that are weighing us down are more of our own personal problems that we are facing. Problems that are accrued to us according to our capacity. Not really bothered by the City Harvest trials, although after reading the papers, things seem pretty favourable on our side! Even though i really don't like The Straits Times for it's grossly biased news coverage, that is the most convenient to grab news in camp, other than from the i-net. What i learnt during my JC days is to grab cold hard information from the papers and block out the opinions or perspective that the news is reported from. RANDOM PIC. Ahhhh my bedroom used to look so nice and tidy! until i took an arrow to the knee while in army. Lmao all the pillowcases have changed already man....hehehe and the number of pillows increased! xD OKAY whenever i look back and ponder on the weekend, my first thought is always "what a hectic week!" well this time, for saturday, i had to go recce recce the sites for our upcoming camp cohesion. Thankfully, we managed to find some really nice spots peppered around that can be used! :) Can't and shan't reveal much about it because its supposed to be a secret for everyone! :D but no worries, i think its gonna be fun (y) Saturday was also kinda unique because i met a person who is exceedingly helpful! :) what happened was that in the evening, I popped by Home Fix, a hardware store to grab some bolts and nuts, etc etc! i had a big bunch of requirements for my bolts, but yet the salesman whom i approached was so willing to help! His head was FILLED with white hair! okay apparently if you haven't forgotten, the previous saleman who helped me had some white hair over his head too....THERE MUST BE A REASON. guyssss go get a girlfriend who has lotsa white hair on their head kay! jkjk. I approached him from behind and asked him for his assistance. I frequent the Marina Square Home Fix outlet quite often because it is really good and convenient. But i never seen him before... What happened was that i told him i wanted a bolt that had 1. Flat bottom, which is near impossible, almost all are sharp. 2. Conducts electricity, barely 15-20% of the products there can conduct electicity. 3. Has a length of 40mm +-5mm Apparently most were in lengths differing by half inch. Hence there was no way i could get the right size. However, he still continued to help me, even by taking out a measuring tape and a AAA battery because i was trying to use the bolt as a replacement for a AAA battery. nerf project as usual :) he even offered me other items that could be used instead, like magnets! This is one salesman who was so willing to bend down, despite his age, to eagerly search for the best item for me to use. with my brother as a "can this conduct electicity" helper, i found what i needed within half an hour! hey you'll be surprised how LONG it takes just to find the best resource, its probably akin to girls shopping for a dress. lol but from what i know, they just buy everything lolol. I spent a total of an hour in this shop alright! now what happened to the other half hour? He actually suggested to me to cut down the longer bolt to the required size that i wanted and use a metal file to make it smoother. However, i didnt have any of such tools at home! i dont really deal with metals at home, usually wood and plastic. So...he told me to use whatever tools i wanted in the store! WOW FOR A HANDICRAFT GUY, THATS HEAVEN. all the tools!! ALL. so i even used the table clamp, to get a firm grip, used the bolt cutter, the big orange cutter you see at the top photo and use the metal files too! hehehe i just opened up whatever tools i wanted to use in the shop and used them! clearly, the other salespersons were shocked. :P That's him! ah i didnt get to catch his name, but he is an extremely helpful salesman who goes all the way out to ensure that you are able to get whatever you are trying to get from the store, walking out from the store satisfied. I chatted with him for a moment and realised he just transfered over in April! no wonder i've never seen him before, and he actually enjoys his job!! how rare is that?! that a person in singapore actually ENJOYS their job! with the volume of societal stereotype here, even though one may enjoy a certain job, but since it pays low or is regarded as a lowly job, few are willing to remain or go for the job. Well today, after attending my first mass bible study, which was really good and COLD!! i had to rush home to rush on my nerf projects :/ this time round, look at the amount that i have to paint! omggg pretty killing man, i'm trying to finish up all the workload to ease my shoulders. It really sucks knowing that you have all of these outstanding nerf modifications. I ziplock bag each of my prjects and put them on my bookshelf! lol yeah one shelf is for my books, another is for these projects, spare parts, and tools and paint! especially for my plastic models. -_-"' Usually i just layout two slots for me to do spray painting, but this time round, i have FIVE. there's one more on the swing. zzz a lot to finish up huh? even though they can be stressful at times, i receive great joy after one project is fully completed! :D with the paint scheme all finished up, All the glue or whatsoever is cured and the finishing coat applied on the project, with it in fully working condition! I tell ya the last part is the scariest man. There was this once, when i managed to make it work before painting and after all the handling, by the time i did the finishing coat, for some reason, after i am totally done with the blaster, it refused to work!! RAGE RAGE RAGE.Ah but i cant remember which blaster it is. #signsofaging #whitehairgonnapopoutsoon. BOOK IN TIME. |
