Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.

YOU SHOULD LIKE TOTALLY LISTEN TO THIS WHILE READING:wowowow so sunday is over and monday is just around the corner! SADDDD. surprisingly, i have yet to game for this weekend! achievement unlocked!! :D well reason being, this week has been a week filled with church activities, and more importantly, being able to spend time with my cell group, as well as being able to celebrate Seow Shi's birthday! like way in advance. so thankful that the surprise actually worked out! :P Friday, Et zone prayer meeting at Jurong west. Saturday, church-wide prayer meeting at Suntec, Sunday is service, Monday is gonna be prayer 365! :) omg suddenly, my mind goes blank....wait wait -.- i remember having friday night prayer meeting at Jurong west, which was a total killer in terms of distance....so farrrr D: oh oh because of my medical appointment on friday, i ended up spending the afternoon and evening at home! what other better time to simply do some quiet time aye? I always love to do quiet time on my bed. hehe the cushion is just so ahhhh for my golden butt! afterall, its a rare chance for me to be able to sit on my bed, being undisturbed as no one is at home. By the way, i am still sharing my bedroom with bro, so....its just kinda awkz suddenly praying and speaking in tongues somehow... that's what i feel! its like, there are some areas in your life that you somehow just wont wanna dabble in it as you more or less know the outcome is gonna be an "ERRRRR situation". which reminds me of the time when Vivian asked me to buy for her, "candy floss" from starbucks... This whole weekend is pray pray pray! yeah! (y) ![]() There you go! there you go, that's the candy floss drink that vivian introduced me to during saturday pre-prayer meeting! some people pangseh (ditched) me while i was waiting for lunch! >:( ROAR! but nevertheless, this drink actually isnt on the menu of starbucks! it has a raspberry flavour, of which i initially described it as flu medicine flavour aaaand it seems as though it was just spammed with cream for the rest of it! not talking about the whipped cream on the top, but it feels as though they triend blending some raspberry flavour, along with cream! those people with a sweet tooth would definitely like it, but for me, hmmm....it was way too sweet man..to the point i wasnt willing to take another sip after my testing sip. it's still pretty cool to learn of another drink that isnt on the menu eh! You see, its because of all these kind of videos on youtube which causes me to end up finishing my blog post a whole lot later. -_-"' one week, i am watching videos of blacksmithing, another week, i'm watching videos on car mechanics. just what in the world. Going back to friday, i finally went for my medical appointment! the previous doc gave me another 3 months to rest....frankly speaking, i've had this knee injury ever since june last year. now just how in the world do i take so long to heal?! especially after being deemed alright by the physiotherapist. the doctors all always say the same thing - rest. which doesnt really seem to work in my opinion! anyway, on a random note, i dropped my phone AGAIN and this time round, where the place cracked, more things broke "inside" the phone. lolol its amazing its actually still working! halfway earning the title of Nokia. well finally, after a few of "i dont know what's wrong with your knee" from the doctors, this doctor i saw told me "oh you have an extra tissue grown at the inner side of your right knee, which is why you are feeling acute pains at these areas...goes ahead and presses spots *me take out baseball bat* hhahahaha jkjk but im really grateful that i finally know what's wrong with my knee! Its a super sucky feeling when you feel pain and yet dont know what is the cause, even more so when your legs are itching for a run since over a year ago D: restricting myself to cycling and swimming as cardio for now :( It pretty much sucks whenever you get down on your knees and pray or worship, and this acute pain is just there throughout the entire time! Doc says the growth of extra tissue (paper trollolol) is because of trauma. ie my knee was subjected to too much stress during my exercises and blah blah blah. Let's talk about Seow Shi's birthday celebration on saturday evening! After prayer meeting at suntec (PHEW so near to home) we successfully managed to surprise SS! here are photos of the preparation, after prep, when she arrived, i didnt take any photos! with my phone. somehow, i forgot to bring my camera D: whatawaste. but anyway, the birthday celebration was filled with bread! *15minutes later* im back!! oops wandered off to piano pieces on youtube again. :) can you imagine if this was a vlog instead? i would long gone :P
Gotta practice practice on the song that we're supposed to sing for Seow Shi, it took us some time to learn the Thank You Song by Jayesslee, along with the changed lyrics! hmmm i seem to missing out on something pretty at the left side of the photo huh!
there you go! The two artistic girls from my cell group, Jolina and Johanna! I seriously have no idea how they use the chalk and draw/write out everything, if it was me, the whole board would be filled with all kinda colours of chalk and the words still wont be as beautiful! At the backdrop, you have people hanging up their clothes to dry!! JKJK instead, they're hanging flags as the deco! *advertisement* AWWW who's that cheerful girl on the left! never fail to go trigger happy and spam the shutter button on my phone, resulting in like 6x of the same photo. Seow Shi's birthday celebration was really fun! somehow in the night, i felt soooo dead already, like uber drained out for no reason. -.- maybe its the lack of sleep for these days..it was only when the celebration was going to end the i became more hyper. You know how some people say that a group of us are "day birds" or something along those lines while others are "nocturnal owls"? im obviously an owl. These nights have been real terrible, getting really very very little sleep as somehow i find it hard to sleep! really sucks okayy... can you imagine praying, dear God, i really want to sleep. like EHHHH weird! true story. What i really enjoyed was the company of the N520 or was it 450....dammit memory fail again. sorry guys :/ my bad. sounds more like 520 leh!!! should be 520 lah... the cell group of faith!! people like samanthaaaaaa, emily, alicia, wohooo! such awesome peeps! :D hmmm come to think of it, i wonder what's gotten into me these days, that have caused me to quieten down and talk so much less o.o used to talk so much back in the days when e488 barely started off, as well as when i was in w519. uh oh.... i'm back with flu again...argh....eh wait magically, it seems like my cough has disappeared! yay! hmmm feeling really really drained out after all the activities from this weekend, and also, i still have to try and finish my nerf gun modding!!! they are taking way too long man.Im gonna bring a EX model, Eternal into camp to fix!! gotta kill some boredom in camp at times :P Take a break from reading all the time. ![]() Ah, my itchy fingers ended up buying another gundam plastic model, i was intending to get the RG justice gundam, the top photo, but in the end, on impulse, i grabbed the EX model, Eternal, which is the one on the right. For those gunpla modellers, it is true that EX models are way harder to model than PG models okay...and obviously then comes with MG>RG>HG>SD. Gunpla language. The EX model kits come totally unpainted, as in the plates just come in pink and white colour, unlike the RG models which have really nicely suited colours already and dont require any painting! Somehow, i can drop my xperia Z a thousand times and it still looks perfectly fine. its as though it comes off from the ground, pats the dust off its shoulders (oh fine imaginary shoulders) and walk off. For today....nerf gun war!!! okay okay practice practice, nerf guns.everyone was having so much fun with em today! also, Im kinda surprised that the other cell groups are also as receptive to the idea of playing nerf! Its like real-life FPS to me man, what get's better than you running around and gunning down your friends?! cant wait for the upcoming nerf event this september!! only problem is the ammo though.... anyway, can you imagine if everyone had their own nerf gun, as in they chose their favourite ones and everyone go on an all out war??? hooo! chaos!! sounds insanely fun!! :P OH! i just bought the last two hershey's chocolate bars from the Suntec City 7-eleven! wohoo! somehow, whenever i get the last piece or the last two pieces, i just feel sooo boss man. its like YEAH nobody's gonna have it! >:) when like in reality probably 50 others who were ahead of me and bought that oh-so-well-loved cookies and creme hershey's chocolate bar. does anyone else feel just as cool to grab the last piece of something?? its like NOBODY'S GONNA HAVE ITTTTT. Oh God, dat face. Sunday, August 18, 2013
ON SATURDAY, I SENT THIS CAR FOR SERVICING AND IT HAD SOME MAJOR ISSUES. of which i will talk about it later in the next blog post. doing a double blog post this time round.hahaha so this weekend was really really packed, however, i am really grateful that we had battery standown on friday! These weeks have been really packed with activities and trainings, like heli training, i would say.... a really really tiring week! throughout the week, i just somehow felt so drained. so you know the feeling when you have to work despite feeling drained? hooooo! everything seems to move so slowly, and your 'fuse' is so much shorter, getting agitated at the slightest of things. Frankly speaking, i dont hear of my friends' NS life being this busy o.o and i am a signaller, which is universally known to be slack xD well, me being a battery line signaller, i have to double up as a clerk and somehow, there would always be things to do. Oh God, i just remembered that tomorrow, i am going to be the only signaller in camp T.T GG-fied, i'm gonna have to tank the standby force check tomorrow D: SHIT. and that also means i am going to have to camp in office tomorrow... time to bring sticks and stones and set up a campfire in office. OH YES, recently in camp, i have been listening to todayschristianmusic.com/ and it has a pretty nice line-up of songs! i have this weird liking to wait for my favourite song (Our God is Greater) to be played on the radio, instead of simply hitting my itouch and playing the song xD hahahaha well on tuesday afternoon, THEY PLAYED THE SONG. yeah! (y) does anyone else in the world have such weird way of doing things? -___-"' Like finally, Red Cross came to my church to do a blood donation drive! CHC gave us a headsup about two weeks in advance, and i went to donate blood, along with a first-timer, Lee Ching!wohoo! Good job good job, once you donate once, then there will be another time, and another, and another! and low and behold, one day you would be too old to donate blood. oh yes, on that, a 56 year old woman failed to donate blood today. woah scary man, 56 and still donating. From what i gather, Singapore's blood bank is a little low on blood, especially for A donors. (I'm an A+) absolutely love the idea whereby Red Cross goes round doing blood donations, and they should do so even more regularly, in fact companies should be encouraged to invite them over just for a day or two over the year! That's partly because no one would want to travel to Woodlands just to donate a bag of blood. Already, so few people are willing to donate, let alone those who cannot donate, and with the inconvenience factor, it becomes quite a chore to donate blood. Give blood, Save lives people! My very first experience came when i was studying in PJC, pioneer junior college, '09. That was when the retainees helped to organise project AGAPE, a blood donation drive, which saw students flocking to donate blood for the whole day, until evening, when they actually had to be turned down because of the lack of blood bags! it was so astonishing to hear that they actually ran out of blood bags! since then, i have been donating blood a couple of times, in school as well as in camp. Yeah! they came to my air force camp, Chong Pang camp too! :) Good job red cross!! Can you imagine if an operation already needs so many bags of blood at times, how much more should we donate blood, moreover, it doesnt even cost us a single cent! Unless you're some crazy economist and start bringing in the concept of opportunity cost. PLUS, we actually regenerate blood over time so please donate blood when there is the chance to! People should also be educated about donating blood, prior to them coming down, like no caffeine the day before, no drugs or medications a week before, same for sex and HIV, blah blah blah. Anyway, blood donation took up my whole afternoon due to the crowd we were faced with! Met with a lot of familiar faces, got to say hi and chatted here and there, what a way to meet some friends in church whom i barely see around! After that, it was already 3-ish, super duper late, so we headed for lunch. that was when i received a text about the rims that mum managed to find! i wanted to change the rims because the original ones are realy really heavy, however due to the size of the car, its very hard to find the right sized rims! nevertheless, after sourcing around on saturday, i managed to find this particular store, Leong Seng Tyres and Automotive. the main criteria that i had in mind was weight. These are the original rims, which are good! They are really durable, however they weight at a whopping 9kg!! its really heavy, especially for a small car like mine, which needs acceleration. so that is the main reason why i wanted new rims. Secondly was for aesthetic sake, like dude come on, my new rims look so much cooler right???? for those who know more about cars, my car has 15 inch rims diameter, followed by a 165 for the tyres. Front and back, same configuration. i could have opted for 14'' but mum decided against it. Here are the differences, a 14'' will offer a better comfort because there is more space for the tyres, greater backspacing, hence more cushioning. this is especially needed for a car like mine that is really low. this car, is like a bump detector on the road -.- however, a 15'' gives me more feel of the turning, more control of the car because of the reduction of space between rim and tyres. any thinner and i am pretty sure my butt is gonna get bruised sooner or later. :) That's my car! That's my car! have i ever uploaded any photos of my car? i am unsure. Oh yes, the merc you see parked in the car porch is dad's. Mum's car is at another condo further down the street. On weekends, mum's car and mine switches. Sigh super dirty car eh? :/ gave it a good scrub till the sun set alright, now its gleaming! but not as bright as dad's polished car. pfffft. yay for national flag!
So.... Finally my car has clocked 54000km mileage, which means that it needs to be sent for a servicing! Because my car is turbo-powered, it needs regular checkups to ensure that the engine oil, etc etc is running fine inside the car! really, it makes a whole big load of difference if you take care of your car properly. After servicing, when i drove the car, it felt a whole more responsive and the ride was a whole lot smoother! Back to the servicing, mine had a thousand and one problems that needed to be resolved.
1. Immensely huge tyres 2. Too much brake fluid (really.....) 3. Dirty engine oil 4. Manual turbo overwrite 5. Worn out air filter What happened was that the mechanic that mum usually looks for to check her car have gone back to Malaysia. What happens is that my Copen car cannot be serviced at any ordinary repair shop as this car is rare (barely a hundred on SG roads) and its quite delicate, nicer word than fragile trololol. so we always visit this same repair shop. Now that the mechanic is gone, i too was apprehensive on going back to the repair workshop but we still went ahead. To our delight, we met the boss who was doing hands-on work on another copen car! He could only speak english and to our amazement, he is a Japanese!!! you know how awesome japanese actually modify their cars huh! and to actually have such a jap mechanic in SG, all the better, and one who specialises in copen, or the 'Kai' car they call it in japan, BEST BEST BEST. The copen is already a discontinued car, so there are very very few left! Just look at that! THREE copens in this workshop alright!! Mine is the one that is elevated. So what do fellow copen owners meet do? chit chat and share tips and tricks about the car, as well as the parts as the parts are really hard to find! the Oldies car belong to the Jap boss. like just how swag is that?!?!?! This guy is like a total pro, advising us on what to do for the car parts, and which parts that needs to be changed, etc etc. He is also the one who highlighted the problems! it was amazing that when he opened the front hatch, he knew exactly what to do, the whole system wasn't alien to him at all! and with all those notebooks of his, testing the revving of the car, the amount of gas that goes into the turbo, hoho! like a pro man! The most major concern at hand was the tyres: They were immensely oversized, to the limit that it actually becomes dangerous to drive! and all the while, i was speeding -.- not bad huh! Thank God that i am still alive! Technically, at the kind of speeds i am driving, the whole back wheels could have actually came out! Moreover, to make things worse, when changing tyres, we found extra spacers used at the wheels, causing the nuts of the wheel spokes to not be fully engaged. All the more why my wheels would have actually came off halfway if i was speeding! THATS THE JAP MECHANICCCCCCC Sunday, August 11, 2013
now why Red Wing as the title? This saturday, family was out buying boots for our year end holiday and among the shops we were looking at, there was a shop that really caught my eye, Red Wing boots look really nice, classic is the word! they actually have a long-standing shop at Suntec Tower 2 so you should totally check it out mannnn :P they sell such awesome boots!! i have no idea why, but by the name of impulse, i bought the red in colour boots! okay its not shocking red so its perfectly fine, neither is it blood red that looks as though i soaked it in somebody's blood. The salesman had streaks of white hair peppered around his head, and when i heard him speak, he seemed to have been working there for a long time! really really familiar with his products, and someone who enjoys his current job! there are FEW singaporeans now who actually "enjoy" being a salesman. even though i was kinda sceptical on buying a pair of Red Wing boots, since i already have a waterproof high-cut shoe, and Red Wing is really pricey, his warm gestures and humble heart made me more receptive to buying a pair! nahhh he wasnt those sort who continues to push for his product, but rather he gets the joy of watching his customers enjoy the shoes that they buy from him! in fact, given the time when i was in the shop, there were at least a good three returning customers, all who really took pride and care in maintaining their shoes, making sure they last long. This salesman's name is BEN. Some were also asking for more advice on how to do so properly, etc etc! Its seldom that you walk into a shop and get to experience such customer service and actually see customers and sales people interacting so well with each other huh? especially so in singapore. Frankly speaking, even though i kinda frequent the Suntec City area, since my church is there and also because last time carrefour was there, i always walked past this store but never took a step in before. how could i possibly miss something so good all these years?! Bro wasnt even keen on buying any of the shoes at all, and he has really broad feet, making it really hard to find a shoe that actually fits him comfortably! not to mention, dad was constantly shoving all kinds of weird designs to him, (there were really few designs so he pretty much showed everything lololol) but you know what? instead of pushing for any designs to my brother, Ben actually measured bro's feet size first, to find a boot design that would comfortably fit him! see the feet size, the width, before choosing a design for him. He actually discouraged my parents from buying a pair after dad thought it would be a good idea to buy a pair of safety boots for bro. Yes you heard me right, he actually discouraged us to buy his shoes!, because he knows that bro wouldnt like that pair of boots that dad suggested. Safety boots have this metal toe cap to protect the wearer's toes in case they get smashed by heavy objects. now if that was a shoe that bro would be wearing out for fun, he would surely kick the living soul outta anybody! conventional salesmen would just push for their product to be sold, but what he had that was different is that he wanted to ensure that his customers would enjoy wearing the shoes and come back. and so far, that has been working for the past 20 YEARS, since he takes pride in his work! well his gestures, the way how he cares for others advising them on how to take care of their leather boots really impacted me so much yesterday! can you imagine a guy who is already in his late fifties but yet still so humble, helping others? Its like as though he doesnt even care about the commission! in the end, bro actually found a pair of boots that he liked, and there was a size that fits his feet! (big fat feet) He did the same too, measure my feet, and i just chose the design that really caught my eye! how i shop for items is this, i walk into a shop, if an item catches my eye, then thats my choice! if nothing does, then dont buy! then again i dont buy everything that catches my eye. most of the time, there's nothing -___- this time round, there was a design and i grabbed it! even though my parents paid for it, i kind of feel that it would probably be better that i paid for the shoe myself, then i would have a greater ownership to take care of the shoe myself! oh yes, after trying on the shoe, i took it off by wrangling the sides of it, as in i used one hand, grabbed half of the lace and pulled them apart, which...took quite some effort and i had to fumble to take out the boots :P ben then taught me a much cooler way, which was to actually undo two of the highest laces first before pulling them apart gently, and everything just comes lose so easily!! well after choosing my design and settling all the stuff, i thought we were going to pay already. but nope, mum suggested to call the distributor at queensway shopping mall. It is a mall that sells really really cheap goods! uh good and bad. I was kind of taken aback, that my parents would actually do something like this, after the salesman has treated us so kindly! as mum and dad actually called them up to check for the prices and availability of stock. in fact, they even asked Ben for their contact number, and he was actually so willing to help, since we could get the shoes at a discount elsewhere. From my point of view, the saleswoman over at queensway mall was really really shoddy (her explanations and stuff were crap, like crap crap crap) and didnt care much, all she wanted was money, but she was able to sell to us the boots at a lower price, quite a substantial discount. On the other hand, i have this really really nice salesman, Ben, who works tirelessly to give us the boots that fit us best! but of course because that is the original shop, and the prices are fixed. now then, which person would you choose to buy the pair of boots from? In my opinion, i went for Ben. Even though he was able to offer the shoes at a much higher price, if it was not for him, i would not even be considering Red Wing boots, plus even if i was, i may not be buying the boots that is best suited for me! and even so, i would not have a clue that i actually have to take care of the shoe from time to time. Hence even though the prices are higher, at least i know that my money, and the sales commission, is going to someone who truly deserves it all. i wont want to be giving it to somebody who doesnt deserve it man! who didnt even work hard for it! How about you? In the end, after an afternoon of calling various shops, parents had to go back to the original store as the rest didnt have the stock. Thank God they went back to that store! the boots that caught my eye: ![]() hehe apparently i havent laced the boots yet! :P if you havent watched RED2 yet, please do so! just look at how badass the movie trailer is!
wohoo! like finally a super duper long break!! hehe not to mention mine was one day longer than everyone else's since i had one day MC. wohoo happy birthday and thanks to Hari Raya, we got a super long break! too bad there is still work to do in camp. -.- its like no matter how many days you have as break, work means work and they will still need to be done at the end of the day. BLEAH. well unfortunately, i fell terribly sick on sunday, and i thought that by booking in to camp and resting, i should get better like how it usually is but apparently nopeeeee. instead, for this week, monday was really really bad, sounds kinda unbelievable, but i was down with cough, flu, mild fever and to top it off, bad headaches. sounds like a really nice cupcake huh! this always happens to me after exerting too much during the weekends, but i dont remember last weekend being so tiring! most of the time, i'm perfectly fine, PRAISE GODDDD. but whenever i over exert, then boomz all the sicknesses come in all at once which sucks ballssssss. usually how my week goes is that i will always chiong on the weekends, saturday and sunday unless there are public holidays then COUNT EM IN BRO. then all the rest of the days would be spent recuperating, usually its monday and tuesday....so about wednesday i should be back to full! ^^ AHHH then once the weekends come, the whole cycle repeats itself! sadly, there was the etsnapshot weekend, whereby i think the friday was a free day, was it three weeks ago?? so end up, i became super sick on sunday instead! x.x hah guess i couldnt last till monday, what a suckerpunch.
ah listen to this in the mean time~ its a mash-up of different audios from different videos of Fate Zero, pretty cool! dont ask me whats that anime, for i haven't watched it yet! \ hoho i seem to be overloading myself with nerf projects and books -.- so currently i have.... 3 nerf projects to go.... how to finish!! oh speaking of nerf projects, i tried spray painting and sawing stuffs under the hot sun for about an hour tops and hooo my whole world was spinning around me after that! i never knew it would be so taxing when i am sick. really wanted to spend some solid time and get some progress on the nerf projects but oh well~~ another time. sheesh i have been dragging it for really long but at least for this week, i managed to accomplish some stuffs! (y) what else do i have....books! there was a borders book sale last weekend oh and this weekend too, and i ended up buying three books! :D i have yet to finish my book, "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahnerman and am still reading the bible....i really dont understand how people love psalms! i found it utterly boring and painful to read. plus it has over a hundred chapterssssss.....*stabs self*glad i am done with it and just a few more books before im gonna be done with the Old Testament! done with the New testament already :D i've got one psycho book to finish, one book about inequality in the world...and one more on politics! oh not to mention Jael passed me her textbook for psych. so many...! now how did the german branch of Command and Conquer reach my facebook wall... i think i should change my blog template. this is getting boring. another black theme it shall be.yeah :)
Ya know, i have cell group on friday nights and church service on sunday mornings! and when there is an event for our subzone, bam! i see my awesome cell group members for three consecutive days!! (see until sian. hahaha just kiddinggggg) eh but for this week... we had this event called etsnapshot! we had brother johannaes (i think i spelt it wrongly) teach us on how to use the camera better! tips and tricks like using the stripped lines, or background balance, or the one third rule. this saturday's event was actually a continuation from last sunday's event where the subzone learnt how to snap good photos! too bad i was extremely sick and ha to go home :( first time ever being so sick for church uh! really couldnt take it anymore then i finally succumbed to the idea of going home to rest -____- sigh why does my body not want to accept any medications?? like no matter what medicine i eat, they are absolutely useless D: tsk both good and bad! sleep is the best medicine for me! (y)
LOLOL apparently i'm listening to piano music on youtube while blogging aaaaaaand im getting too distracted, listening and watching how they articulate their fingers instead of blogging -.- haha and pastor preached about FOCUS today! i was kinda wondering what happens if someone was not focussing to the message of focus. lmao retarded me.
*after a good 13minutes*
ahhhhh alrighty alrighty back to the event, we had four tasks to do, and we had to use a particular technique that we learnt for each of the photos, so....oh yes FOUR tasks! which means four photos aye? :) here are the photos that i took! :D
okok so our first task was to take photo of one of the placards using the lines technique, so here's my take on it! which is like....meh :P
the second task was to take a jumpshot photo, with a building as a background. hmmm actually i think if we had more time and the groups were smaller, easier to roam around, it would have been a lot more comfortable! as in...more freestyle....?
pardon the picture quality because i grabbed it off instagram!
i use this Insta web program that i found, and its pretty awesome. :) downloads are pretty fast, but the picture's come out real small. unfortunately. omg i tell ya, now my throat is so sore, it's such a pain to swallow food! sigh sigh but for dinner, grandma's black chicken soup was DA BOMB alright! its really really good, the best i have ever tasted. as in yeah i do know people are biased and proclaim that their grandma's cooking is the best but the soup was actually so sweeet!! and the sweetness inside the chicken meat Mmmmm!! luckily, the chicken meat wasnt hard!
If only i can play the piano as good as this person! :( JEALOUS TO THE COREEEE
JAW DROPS. if only i had the time to practice like this!! when i ord, when i ord...
oh yes snapshot snapshot....hmmm the third task: take a candit shot of johannaes! (spell wrong again i bet) so here is my take on it! this time round, i wanted to do the half-face thingyyyy but nah it didnt turn out as good as what i thought it would be xD
#thankgodforfilters i always find photographers a quiet bunch of people, devoted in trying to capture the best moment from an angle they think is best, giving each photographer a certain "uniqueness" as displayed through their countless photos.
*after 20minutes of piano pieces later*
sorry guys, beethoven sonatas are just too impressive man.....
okay for the fourth and final task, we were supposed to take a photo from a nine storey building and use the balance technique to snap a photo of the scenery, frankly speaking, i have no idea how to do this mannnn -.- so i just randomly sticked my phone out of the balcony *Hooooo scary!!* asked jolina to stick out her leg and SNAP! done! :D i....really have no idea how to take a photo from a nine-storey building and make it look really impressive.
here it is anyway :) i have no idea what was i taking photo of okayyy. like purpose-less.
then we had a bonus photo task, which is to photograph someone spitting water, like the merlion. so....i was thinking like i bet everyone was gonna take a photo of everyone spitting it sideways or from some angle definitely, but one angle seems really impossible...and that is head on >:) so abusing the waterproof capability of my xperia z, i bring you the water spitting photo~!
tadaaaaa! :P
THATS ALLLLLL this is just one of the fun pics i took for fun~ i always wanted to do like some miniature effect of like the Amazon forest, with the waters and everything, but i would need my canon sx40hs! too bad i didnt have it with me during that time :/
the snapshot event was really fun, like finally my instagram has more photos xD hahahaha sorry lahhh the phone that i use on weekdays have no camera since i need to be in camp. well....not for this week!! because there is national day and Hari raya together! wohooo!! so....we're gonna book out on wednesday night! :D oh yeah, oh yeah! also, we had a barbecue session after that, erm, it was eat eat eat, fellowship fellowship fellowship! i love such events when it gives us the opportunity to bond with the other cell group members. Then we can say hi and bye to each other in church and also start chatting with one another, instead of awkward turtle-ing with one another. OMG gotta book in soon. dammit.
oh yes, CITY HARVEST CHURCH ROCKS. I'M GONNA STAND BY MY PASTOR, KONG HEE, AND HIS TEAM. too bad so many people choose to take his preaching out of context. sigh! Be quick to hear, slow to judge.
my throat is like dyinggggggggg D: wohoo! durian season! one hand eat durian, the other, blog!
anyway, my friend, Jeth, along with his crewmates made a really really good video! i absolutely love it man, although im totally not patriotic, but this video really speaks into the hearts of the many singaporean students here, especially to those who finish their tertiary education. :) so....here is the video!

Well these days, life has been really really busy! Every day seems to be a drag, clearing work like all my daily stuffs, settling all the outfield stuffs and worse of all, preparing for audit. Audit really suckssssss :( but we dont have a choice anyway. Brrr my God it just rained this morning and the office is freezing cold. Everyone seems to be preparing for Exercise Wallaby though! All the cleaning that they have to do....terrible man. Anyway, guess what i did last night! I had nights out (nights out = a time for you to leave camp in the night) and popped by Parkway Parade to do some shopping! Wohooo! parkway paraders rocks! :D Somehow, no matter how big the shopping centre is, like vivo city, which is the biggest mall in Singapore, i still find Parkway Parade being the best shopping mall! as in even though it may be a tad smaller than those orchard road malls, they seem to sell just the right stuff for everyone! You get what i mean? like the kind of merchandise that the shops sell are seldom repeated. so....you can pretty much buy everything that you need there! hehe thats why i love the east coast area of singapore (y) other than the rising condominium units. The road infrastructure can barely handle the amount of traffic on weekends. Oh and some junctions where we could easily exit from in the past to the main road now takes FOREVER. but still better than places like Tampines or Bishan IMO. heheheh :POKAY back to what i was previously saying, my shopping trip during nights out! You see, now my army bunk kinda stinksssss. since my nose is half-blocked all the time, i dont 'suffer' as much as my other bunk mates. But in any case, i dropped by Giant, used my NS45 voucher (yes i still do have the voucher) and bought air freshener! Ambipure to be exact, "ocean breeze" is the scent. of course i bought other stuffs for camp, but upon going back to my bunk, i strapped the air freshener to the fan using a spare garter i found! :D BAM! so now its like im living by the seaside. hahahahahaha awesome right??? just that when i open my eyes, i'm in camp. :/ When is february gonna come.....i want to ORD already man :( life is just way too busy in camp at times. Like on monday, we had to prepare the signal sets and stuffs for an exercise that later that night, aaaaaand on top of that we had a crazy amount of signal equipments for Ex Wallaby. Absolute nuts. frankly speaking i have no idea why so much equipment was indented, even after accounting for spares but oh well! im not going for the exercise (because of my pes status) so....shan't bother on the equipment indentments. sometimes i wonder if ORD-ing would be better, or to remain as an NSF, since as an NSF, you dont really have to pursue anything you make less choices perhaps? and every day just goes by! whereas once i am done serving my national service, i got to slowly construct my own future and get back into the unmerciful rat race out there. somehow,. i think i have a really reeeeally limited vocabulary bank :/ hahaha #lazychildhood. as i was shopping around Parkway parade, i decided to drop by isetan! that is one of the places that i go to for my nerf supplies man. if any of ya are wondering like "hey what happened to all your lego creations and stuff?" "weren't you crazy about LEGO in the past" well i am actually taking a break for some time, as its kinda expensive to continue building lego structures non stop, since the prices of LEGO in singapore is crazyyyyy. plus somehow, i build the structures really fast....and i am running out of space at home to display all these lego models! so....currently i have LOADS of things to do (the whole train of nerf projects to finish) oh plus i have to expand my music library....currently i am also trying out Soldierfront 2 hahahaah its a remake of the good old soldierfront FPS game :P ugh and how am i going to find time to clear the house so that i can probably shove in another shelf and start filling it up with lego models?! my original idea of building a lego shelf out of bricks and building it upwards as my creations grow, uh seem to have pretty much hit its limit -.- like a glass barrier. because any higher and the top of it would seem pretty flimsy! lmao the top swaying just a bit scares the hell outta me since its my creations that are sitting on it. :/ gotta start figuring out how i am going to continue with my LEGO man....its always the same thing, if only i had more lego bricks, if only i had more lego parts! well while window shopping at isetan, i chanced upon the TOMY plarail trains! remember the really really old and traditional train sets in the past that had blue in colour plastic rails? and their trains seemed kinda lame? they always have them on display at some departmental stores. well....this time round, i saw they had something new! apparently, they managed to squeeze TWO trains into the same existing track! which is SUPER COOOOOOL. kudos to the japs man, they are really really innovative. Here is a video of how its like! Now it looks so much cooler and i would actually consider having a mini train track! lmao. but hey these train sets come at a really high price man. $40 bucks?! well if its about 20, then yes i wouldn't mind, however if its twice that price....then it leaves me to consider again! :/ but i must say it looks really really coooool :( its pretty tiny, as in you can easily grasp a few of them in your hand, and you can use the existing rustic blue rails! that's what i like the most, whereby you are able to have such fond memories kept all thanks to the rails, and then now, you can use NEW trains on OLD tracks! :) that is the best part ever man....i absolutely LOVE it alright!!!! hehe where am i going to find space to put a mini track at home.... :P also, the tracks resembles that of the japan JR lines which is something i always look forward to in japan! :D |
