Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.

Wine, Sir or Madam before you start your viewing?![]() no? OK i shall leave it on the table. Man oh man! after so much rushing through and brain-splattering moments, i think i am more or less done with my lego project! i REEEEEEALLY want to install loads of lights and props into the structure, but it seems to me as though time is really running out, aaaand i think i should just submit whatever i have :) i have always wanted to create something of such a size and be really able to invest loads of time and effort and $kaching!$ into this project ever since the idea was born within me about 2+ years ago. Coincidentally, when i am finally able to start on this project, it was about time to apply for SUTD admissions, so oh what awesome timing i thought! but now that due to other commitments, i am unable to finish the project. so here goes! OH YES other than the LEGO project that i have been working on, i added in photos of some of the other works that i have done before! :) ![]() THIS is the overview of the project that i have done. so far, i took about 3 weekends piecing the structure together. frankly speaking, aesthetically it looks not bad! :P although my intended look was supposed to be more of a 'clean' approach. definitely not so colourful!! but hey that was all i had man, in terms of the pieces. so NO CHOICE. gotta work with what i have. WHAT I WANTED: an aircraft that can remain airborne for an extended period of time (MONTHS) sorta thingy with refuelling capabilities. the primary aim was to integrate a massive runway into the ship. i have done before integrating a hangar using a few techniques into a ship, but it was WAYY smaller. ![]() as you can see, the tan area is where the hangar is located. this ship is so puny when put next to this project! yes this ship is tall, however if it is rotated 90 degrees, this thing FITS into my structure alright! I found it a real challenge when i decided to choose to stick with the base sets that i wanted to work with, which were
I still have loads of parts at home, lots of small parts at home, but they dont fit into the criteria on what i am trying to aim for! so no choice :( i cant utilise those parts. on the other hand, by sticking with the sets that i wanted to work with, i was able to really crack my brains and force myself to innovate something worthy out of these sets! its like sometimes, you see a really nice piece, and somehow you really want it to fit somewhere! but noooooo it just CANT.
i made the structure to have loads of flaps that can be opened easily, so as to access the insides of the ship easier! I was thoroughly surprised that the project turned out VERY VERY different from what i wanted.
Firstly, i had to alter the shape of the craft because sticking its wings all the way out was a really good idea, but not only did i not have the parts, it was also not stable enough. given the time constraint, i couldnt afford to go back to the drawing board and re-strengthen the infrastructure of it, so i chose to alter its shape. its supposed to look like a manta ray actually. Moreover, armed with laziness, i adopted a flat front as it was so much easier to build, hence less time consuming. Yes it looks not bad i would say but if i expect this kinda thing to be airborne, i got to work more on the aerodynamics man. just the shape would do! a more curved front would have definitely been better. of course i am gonna work on that over time :D
this photo depicts the 'radar' that i somehow managed to invent whilst building this structure. in fact, everything you see on the roof wasnt intended! i used the front piece of the cockpit of the millennium falcon as the bridge area :)
hahaah im in love with the little greebles that i attempted inside the glass panel thingy. if you notice, that is also from the same part on the millennium falcon! :D The other side is from the republic frigate, first photo.
here, you can see the 'exit' of the runway! what my design idea was that the planes would land from behind, and exit from the front.
EMPTY INSIDES. sorry my wallet was empty during that period too :(
initial plan. YEAHHH these are old photos, thats why i am only showcasing a few here :) over the few posts, its fun to see how my project has evolved. From one that looks like its going no where, to one that looks like it is going somewhere. :P IMO, its extremely incomplete :( but its kinda fun to critic my own work!
remember the flying aircraft carrier from the movie Iron Man 2? no no my initial inspiration wasnt from there. ( mine was initiated looong ago )
skip to 1:46.
i was inspired by the double rotor system, so me went home to create something similar! i created it as a module that could be installed into any aircraft easily.
just rig a motor on and YEP it works just the same way! it took me quite a while to get to this product as i tried to minimize it. now, its how to make it tilt.
i wanted to install 2 of these into the craft at a later stage, but soon gave up on that idea as it just looked too weird! like it was too complicated. sometimes adding too much aint good.
I KNOW. white background fail :( dont say it!
i spent my BMT weekends doing this alright~ its by far the most precious plastic model work i have ever done. I opted for handpainting this time round, and i chose to paint it with thick coats, to give it the very 'ceramic' feel. since such structures are HUGE, obviously everything cant be all nice and smooth! correct? plus what i wanted was a: hey if this comes out from the workshop and undergoes constant usage, how is it going to turn out? definitely being all smooth and shiny was out of the question. however some parts i did give it a gloss coating and a finer coat of paint to accentuate such parts :)
enjoy the photos~!
i painted the inside metal platings with a gunmetal silver, so it has a bit of the dull dull effect! :P the crown and the top part of the chest is actually painted with a finer coat and gloss coated later on. not very obvious huh! thats the whole idea! :P
here, with the help of weathering effects, the ceramic-like painting style becomes more obvious :)
SPAM SPAM SPAM.
some of the plastic models are currently trying to assimilate my work table and they are doing a good job alright!

oh my God my nose is killing meeeeee D: dont think this plunger is gonna work!
Another LEGO project that i am proud of, is this. :)
somehow, i just had the inspiration to create something of such. i really loved the challenge to balance the front of the aircraft, as later photos will show that actually the only point of contact to the ground is at the rear end of the aircraft. this made it even more fun to build! moreover, the insides are hollow allowing minifigs to walk about inside, with a storage space and a bombing mechanism installed behind! :D
and i managed to rig some LIGHTSSSSS into this :P
cockpit.
back boosters. the rod in the middle is used for the bombing mechanism!
thats the ramp. the inside lights can be angled, hence it gives me the desired amount of light needed!
see how the "hidden boosters" light up! :D i love it! oops my toe.
one of the self made shelves that stores my lego creations. its like a timeline! the bottom part is the oldest. highest part is the most recent. :) as my creations increase, so does the levels. so, even the structure itself looks VERY different from floor to floor!

i found this video an extremely good watch, even though its an hour long, it touches a lot on exactly what is life. enjoy!
woah woah woah, these days, i have been REALLY REALLY busy. busy with Uni admissions, busy with army work to settle (you have no idea how much there is to settle as a signaller) aaaaand busy with church stuffs to manage! OMG OMG. its like everything just comes in at one go. suddenly, all of my commitments get a ramp-up. HO HO. gee its amazing if i can even find time to relax! like now :) always busy running around, sometimes i just wish life would slow down! like chill guys, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy what life has to offer. not that i am ranting that i dont like what i am doing, in fact i am grateful that i am able to be doing such stuffs, but i think i really do need a break! with all of these uni admissions stuffs, life gets a whole lot more stressed cuz i have to ponder and worry about whether or not i can actually get that placing that i want! :( more often than not, grades are the things that do the speaking in singapore. of which i am not-so-good at! sadly. weekdays, im super busy. weekends, just as busy! and im feeling so sleep deprived! hehe once the weekdays start once again, i am so gonna camp in my bunk and grab some much needed sleep.
for the whole of last week, i have been sleeping at 3am, 6am, even for the weekends! i slept at 4am. TSK next morning, had to wake up at 7am. ridiculous. its a miracle i have survived so long and am still typing this! oh i tell you those uni essays are a killer. after losing about 999999999 brain cells to the essay, i realized i did it wrongly and WOOT back to the start :( have yet to start writing, dont really feel like writing it now, but still it has to be done. one day. :D i blame my lack of brain cells on candy crush. weekends are awesome! especially when i get to spend it with my awesome cell group, e488 from city harvest church! yes i am a proud and faithful member of city harvest church, despite all the allegations against us (y) you know what? i want a lomo camera! i think it would be so much fun to start spamming films :D although i confirm+chop cant find a place to keep em. my table is pretty filled up! thanks to a levels. yes i know its been a year...but i dont want to clear my books and papers. they are already quite neatly arranged IMO, and leaving them just as it is just reminds me of the amount of hardwork that i put in during the As! even though my results were really disappointing for me, i never regretted coming to PJC. :') the amount of fun we had in school...oh i so hope the generation now can experience that much fun too! so today, fellowship was slightly different. okay quite different. we went to the carnival that was organised by the church. it was meant for the kids! but yeah we still went! ^^ it was fun basking in the sun, (y) sun tan here i come (y) there were games, activities and food OH food so attracts the older generations like us and the parents A LOT. a lot a lot a lot :D but i was lazy to queue up for the food....so....no lunch! its too troublesome man. oh but the highlight for today got to be....not the free popcorn, not the free candy floss, not the games, not the food but the float! :D you know those huge blow-up ones that have kids jumping on em? HAH. yeap! its about time i showed you what we did, so here are the videos and enjoy! hahahah by now i bet you would know what we have been up to huh!! we only did that when it was about the end of the carnival :P so.....nobody actually saw us did it! wonder what would the parents say if they saw us oversized kids doing this man :P today was fun! :) ![]() OOPS not this one, this one!
