Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.

![]() here is the damage! when i came back from camp one day..zzz didnt expect this at all, plus the epoxy glue is really strong! first time happening to me..so...i whipped out an even stronger bonding agent! thats...the EPOXY PUTTY! i had to use it sooner or later anyway. ![]() ![]() mix them together till your hand hurts and you know your putty is aaaaall ready to go! step 1: put up some bulk of putty on the part. (y) ![]() step 2: attach the piece! and push it in real hard! make sure that putty hugs the whole thing. ![]() this is a close up, i added even more putty to give it shape so as to resemble the actual sar21 more. :) so...gotta spread those epoxy putty and create a gradual gradient! this was fun! ![]() ![]() another close up when the whole moulding process is done! TIME TO PAINT. ![]() 1. Matt black for the whole shell! below is the paint that i always use. ![]() ![]() 2. use masking tape to mask off parts that you wanna paint metallic black! *remember not all parts of the rifle is plastic* you can tell the stark difference the metallicspray has compared to the matt areas. ![]() ![]() when everything is done for spraying, its time to take off all the masking tapes and covers and spray a layer of lacquer over the whole thing so as to add a protective layer over the paint. this also helps to even out the paint, so it greatly improves the whole feel of the replica rifle! without lacquer, the feeling of the rifle sucks. seriously. -.- ![]() this is the end result after everything is done! just some photos of the end product, after about 3 weekends of work :)

woot i didnt know that its been so long since i updated the blog! sheesh. lazy me. anyway, for my army life, its finally entering a new phase! i am just less than a week from completing BMT training! YESSSS finally i can say goodbye to pulau tekong. :D but one thing that is for sure is that i will miss my friends whom i have made in camp! really really hope i can be posted to OCS.. too bad i have this stupid knee injury! gotta rest so much longer for it to recover... oh but i am finally done with the SAR21 FAIL replica! like seriously i think it was kinda big failure? most likely going to start remodelling it again...sigh.
so far, i have been extreeemely busy with life! especially because we are going to pass out, so there are lots of matters to settle, every night we are sleeping so late in camp, and i have been trying to clear my medical status so many times with so many different people! in hopes to try and do at least the last IPPT. but so far, nahhh no one has cleared me. -_-"' well now that i am finally done with a new replica gun, there are 3 choices for me from here on to continue my hobbies. :) 1) replica gun: salvage whatever i have and create a modified replica rifle called the Knight's armament PDW (this is like $0 because i already have the parts.) 2) replica gun: a m16 sniper rifle which i estimate the cost to be...around $200. :( sighhh so expensive. 3) '3D' Magic the Gathering cards. hah these are really fun to make, but requires lots of patience! so far i already made a whole stack of em and the cost to make a few is super low too~! most probably gonna go with option 1 or 3...for now. block leave is coming up, which means i have about 1week of break from army and..probably it would be a good time to start on ZE MASSIVE PROJEKT of option 2. -___- hey but i know option 2 is definitely gonna look GREAT! have a total idea of what exactly i am gonna do already..bad thing is its expensive~! ANYWAY, here is my update on the "fail replica of sar21" here is how i finished up the whole thing! FYI it actually broke during the weekdays when i was in camp when bro used it. the epoxy 2-ton glue fell off. HMMM.... ![]() this is my trusted epoxy glue! never failed me till now! up till now i still have no idea how it happened but oh well.. ya gotta mix those 2 tubes together man~ ![]() back to the cover! and the weights below~ those are iron weights btw. since fishing weights are wayyy too light. ![]() ![]() this is my layout configuration for some of the weights on the casing. hmm it wasnt a good configuration as now, i think the butt area is way too heavy..which means the center of gravity point is about...5cm away from where it is supposed to be on the sar21. ![]() thats epoxy glue guys. males, please don't start imagining things. :) here comes the barrel! i decided to go with a free floating barrel, since that is also the case for the sar21 i think? first time making it, and i was worried that it would be super flimsy when it was done! but surprisingly, it stayed in really well. :) ![]() ![]() i also added some weights to thefront grip, so that i can actually account for the weight of the metal barrel for the actual gun! this was a sweet surprise for me,didnt expect it to work out so nice! in terms of the weight distribution. ![]() all glued in and ready for the next stage!! *in the mean time* barrel is getting hung up and dried. i did a metallic black spray. ![]() ![]() awesome-mest stuff ever to use in a replica gun, not just because it adds weight to your rifle, it also creates a more 'sturdy' feel and strengthens the thin plastic casing! super good stuff. i even use this to mend some walls or door frames at home. (y) ![]() still putting more and more wall putty~ thats...just about it! for the wall putty stage. ![]() ![]() lookin' good so far.... ![]() now for the excess wall putty that oozes out after screwing back the casings together? use a screwdriver and scrap em off ![]() ![]() using wires to hold the barrel in place as the other areas begin to dry up, especially this is the part when i glue on the front handle to the replica rifle. OKAY this is what i did for one of those weekends. heh. now i shall continue the other part in another post. woot if not this is gonna be a mammoth post! Saturday, June 09, 2012
Hoho finally done with all the high keys for my BMTC life and now i am just left with route marches and the graduation parade! but...BAD NEWS is the medical officer gave me 31days of MC for excuse RMJ (running, marching, jumping), lower limb exercises and route march! D: HOWWWWWW!!! sigh too bad my knee got really badly injured :S well i had a really bad old knee injury that came up again during field camp, due to all the high kneeling. TSK. when you are outfield and have nothing to do, HIGH KNEEL. well now my right knee is in a very bad condition..just recently, on monday, i had a really bad fall and landed right on the exact injured spot, so now my right knee is inflamed. Had to do an xray too and found out that it wasnt so serious that the MO (medical officer) had to give me OOT (out of training) but it was serious enough to give me that 31 days MC OHMYGOD. SIGHHH now i am unable to trainfor my IPPT as well as SOC. so i am starting to doubt the possibility of me being able to go for OCS. hmmm.... gotta hope my injuries heal quick enough! :(OKAY! well one thing good for this week is that i got my marksmanship! i missed 3 shots out of 32shots. all 3 shots that i missed were from the day shoot. -_-"' so...i was kinda blind for the start..i actually missed one of the targets that was standing upright! like WTHHHH!! oh but after the 3 shots that i missed, panic man. i began to really focus on getting no more misses!and yup! the night shoot went extremely well for me, super happy that all is good! Now all that matters to me is for my right knee to heal in a jiffy so that i can go full force for physical training! i cant slack!! D: Now for the update for my project! the replica SAR21. im still short of some materials, so i cant quite start to put the whole thing together just yet! running low on paint and moulds, just stocked up on the weights! hopefully this project can be a success! even though i have absoultely no idea how to integrate a laser unit into it -.- i guess i will probably have to do without it.. last weekend, i decided to start sawing up the gun and washing it! preparing the main plastic body to be weighted :) had to cut off portions of the front and the magazine well area there so that i can fit in a removable mag instead! as for the front, i am trying to follow the sar21 specifications as close as possible. bought this front grip from Magpul and it seems like the best front grip to match with sar21. hmmm also, i bought a scope that has a similar dimension, other than being 4x zoom instead of the usual 1.5x zoom x.x REALLY cant find any scopes that are more similar. sigh! best part is that the scope will be removable, so i can interchange it with a more fitting one in future! if i chance upon one :)
this is the magazine holding! had to do lots of small work on this so as to fit the magazine through. zzz!!!
there! this photo below shows a much neater version of it after all the 'editing'
sawed up a lil bit of the front so as to allow this front grip to fit in snugly! now i just gotta mould it down..to have the "ergonomic" shape of the sar21. because of the really low rail on top, it makes the front grip look pretty elongated. :(
this is the scope that i am using! well i had to change the mounts below as they only fit 10mm rails. usual is 20mm~
this is after changing it, well not that obvious, just a whole lot taller. oh and i used black tape at the mounts if you can notice, so that it can grip onto the scope better. :)
hahaha oh yeah i celebrated my birthday in camp! it was the last day of SITtest. so i was stuck in camp! nevertheless, i had a nice and short birthday celebration! no birthday cake this time round. :) everyone was pretty rush and i had little time too! mum decided to bring me to the Tastings Room. Tried out the Wagyu beef there and it was good!
TADAAAAH! It was really yummy! and for the desserts i had tiramisu and cheese cake!![]() thats the tiramisu ![]() and here is the cheesecake! i know they are not famous for it, but i just had to compare. Starbucks' cheescake is better :P On monday, just to spend some family time, i went ice skating and bowling! it was a pretty fun day, finally got to exercise! now i finally know the different between being physically fit and combat fit. :) ![]() um bro took this photograph! ![]() Me and mum! Bro and Dad are always too lazy to try out such stuffs. well its my umpteeth time skating though :P ![]() OH AND MUM CANT BOWL FOR NUTS. wahhahahahaha!!! |
