I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

As always, being the busy person i am, i've been really worn out after all of the activities for the week! Desperately need to find time to rest though. Anyway, i thought i would blog about this weekend! it's been a really eventful weekend i feel, even though i am all weary from a tiring week, i just know that time has been "well spent". While strolling along Purvy street, i bumped into a sketching class where people were learning how to draw! man it looks so interesting, also because i have been doing quite a lot of drawings lately! As you would wonder from the title of this blog post :)
A great deal of time from this weekend was also dedicated to my ENFJ buddy!!! I am in the same catch as her, hence taking many same modules together (hopefully more) and also, we attend the same church! So i practically see her everyday, except for this summer. We caught the LKY musical together, and it is SO GOOOOOD highly recommended to watch it, even more so as it is a well-produced local production. Our arts scene in Singapore is really quiet and dormant as compared to other countries, so go support!! I especially loved how the character of our late founding father Lee Kuan Yew was played out, along with his fellow friends and wife. The feelings instilled were so real and also not forgetting the background sounds, they were filled with emotions too! Really impressed. The LKY musical was also a history lesson as i learnt about LKY's past. Even though i think i do know quite extensively about his past, there were new angles and elements in his life that was portrayed in the musical, which i felt was...all encompassing. I highly, highly recommend anyone to go watch the LKY musical and learn more about the history of Singapore and how we became an independent nation, the vision of being a multi-racial society. It was so good, that when it came to the part when LKY cried because of Singapore breaking away from the Merdeka merger, streams of tears and sobs could be heard within the audience. I shan't spoil the musical for you, but if able to, I highly recommend buying the tickets! Thank God really for having such awesome seating, i was lucky enough to book the last two CAT 1 seats in the front portion of the hall and got a really really good view of the massive three storey set! I watched on the saturday which was mad mad crowdedddddd, even the MBS carparks were closed to heads-up to you drivers out there, do find parking at the Grand Hyatt and walk over if need be!
Beverly and I were lucky enough to also catch the aerial display for the National day parade rehearsal! It's really such a pity LKY cannot be there to witness and celebrate the nation's birthday :(
On a more jovial, light-hearted mood, I came back from Xplorer War 14!! yep that's me in the photo below. It was a really fun time hiding around the bushes and using the leaves as cover hue hue hue :P so many times i got saved by those big leaves. Of course i did video down our game, although not the entire thing as halfway through, my memory card ran out of space LOL. epic man, i forgot to check. and i left out my extra batteries too. I guess that's what happens when you only sleep 3 hours before an Xplorer War heh. but it was still so much fun! just spending time with the group and testing out new equipment and darts. I tried a new way to glue the darts but doesn't quite seem to be working out...that kinda sucks~
But yes yes, THIS is what i have been busy for the past few weeks; drawing on papers, having multiple sketches, cracking my head on what kind of design and how to go about doing it, having the same "feel" throughout the blaster... this is my design at 60% completion i would say? there's still many more details and changes tobe made but the shape is out already :) The angles and all are a pain in the ass to settle, especially when you are dealing with 3D software ugh pukes. and also making it into a shell so that the internals can fit within. So far, progress is slow but there's no choice when you're dealing with freeform lines. :/ Oh yes, it is a shell for Nerf guns, or rather for Xplorer custom blaster LOL forgot to mention that. Hopefully this would be practical too! im not too sure, but definitely it gets me pumped up to finally see my design coming to life! |
