I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

lmao like seriously which weekend am i not busy?! somehow, my weekends will be automatically filled up with errands to run, and events. haha everytime i tell myself that i'm gonna go gaming, play some BF3, i end up being busy with something else on the day itself xD sigh sigh its like as though when you grow older, you have more responsibilities, more stuff to do. Damn i so miss the days when i used to be a student, just schooling at Pioneer Junior College and not worrying about anything, other than those piles of homework that teachers give, and i not do. Especially so for math homework. wow speaking of which, i really really hate math! somehow, we are forever at loggerheads. Guess i do much better in Arts subjects but oh well my JC days are over and now its about looking ahead. Its like when you're schooling, life is really simple and you dont really have much stuff to decide, everything's been done for ya, unlike now whereby you have to make decisions, with this finite time that i have, what am i going to do? Focus on self development or just simply enjoy life right now. (National Service life) Even though many argue that NS is a waste of time, plus it burns off 2 years of our prime 20s, its a really good time for us to slow down and think about what we want to do in the future, giving us some time to consider the options and somewhat take a break from the hectic lifestyle out there. Frankly speaking, i have NO idea how i am going to survive working out there in future after Uni life but i'm just gonna leave that up to God! omggg when is the next signaller coming in so that i can really start slackinggggg. Things can get pretty tiring in camp at times!Lol actually, life would be slightly easier if my camp computer, OA computer has half the RAM and processing power of my home computer and i can just keep on blasting worship music in camp :P I kinda find working while blasting music a whole lot more enjoyable, like now, i'm blasting Christian radio while blogging! while my aged-incek seems to prefer it quiet i think! though he's kind enough to allow me to play some out loud at times :) #reasonableencikrocks. Life has been pretty trying for me, surprisingly, even though there is this whole city harvest case, and everyone seems a tad worn out from the problems they are facing in life, somehow just somehow, these problems that are weighing us down are more of our own personal problems that we are facing. Problems that are accrued to us according to our capacity. Not really bothered by the City Harvest trials, although after reading the papers, things seem pretty favourable on our side! Even though i really don't like The Straits Times for it's grossly biased news coverage, that is the most convenient to grab news in camp, other than from the i-net. What i learnt during my JC days is to grab cold hard information from the papers and block out the opinions or perspective that the news is reported from. RANDOM PIC. Ahhhh my bedroom used to look so nice and tidy! until i took an arrow to the knee while in army. Lmao all the pillowcases have changed already man....hehehe and the number of pillows increased! xD OKAY whenever i look back and ponder on the weekend, my first thought is always "what a hectic week!" well this time, for saturday, i had to go recce recce the sites for our upcoming camp cohesion. Thankfully, we managed to find some really nice spots peppered around that can be used! :) Can't and shan't reveal much about it because its supposed to be a secret for everyone! :D but no worries, i think its gonna be fun (y) Saturday was also kinda unique because i met a person who is exceedingly helpful! :) what happened was that in the evening, I popped by Home Fix, a hardware store to grab some bolts and nuts, etc etc! i had a big bunch of requirements for my bolts, but yet the salesman whom i approached was so willing to help! His head was FILLED with white hair! okay apparently if you haven't forgotten, the previous saleman who helped me had some white hair over his head too....THERE MUST BE A REASON. guyssss go get a girlfriend who has lotsa white hair on their head kay! jkjk. I approached him from behind and asked him for his assistance. I frequent the Marina Square Home Fix outlet quite often because it is really good and convenient. But i never seen him before... What happened was that i told him i wanted a bolt that had 1. Flat bottom, which is near impossible, almost all are sharp. 2. Conducts electricity, barely 15-20% of the products there can conduct electicity. 3. Has a length of 40mm +-5mm Apparently most were in lengths differing by half inch. Hence there was no way i could get the right size. However, he still continued to help me, even by taking out a measuring tape and a AAA battery because i was trying to use the bolt as a replacement for a AAA battery. nerf project as usual :) he even offered me other items that could be used instead, like magnets! This is one salesman who was so willing to bend down, despite his age, to eagerly search for the best item for me to use. with my brother as a "can this conduct electicity" helper, i found what i needed within half an hour! hey you'll be surprised how LONG it takes just to find the best resource, its probably akin to girls shopping for a dress. lol but from what i know, they just buy everything lolol. I spent a total of an hour in this shop alright! now what happened to the other half hour? He actually suggested to me to cut down the longer bolt to the required size that i wanted and use a metal file to make it smoother. However, i didnt have any of such tools at home! i dont really deal with metals at home, usually wood and plastic. So...he told me to use whatever tools i wanted in the store! WOW FOR A HANDICRAFT GUY, THATS HEAVEN. all the tools!! ALL. so i even used the table clamp, to get a firm grip, used the bolt cutter, the big orange cutter you see at the top photo and use the metal files too! hehehe i just opened up whatever tools i wanted to use in the shop and used them! clearly, the other salespersons were shocked. :P That's him! ah i didnt get to catch his name, but he is an extremely helpful salesman who goes all the way out to ensure that you are able to get whatever you are trying to get from the store, walking out from the store satisfied. I chatted with him for a moment and realised he just transfered over in April! no wonder i've never seen him before, and he actually enjoys his job!! how rare is that?! that a person in singapore actually ENJOYS their job! with the volume of societal stereotype here, even though one may enjoy a certain job, but since it pays low or is regarded as a lowly job, few are willing to remain or go for the job. Well today, after attending my first mass bible study, which was really good and COLD!! i had to rush home to rush on my nerf projects :/ this time round, look at the amount that i have to paint! omggg pretty killing man, i'm trying to finish up all the workload to ease my shoulders. It really sucks knowing that you have all of these outstanding nerf modifications. I ziplock bag each of my prjects and put them on my bookshelf! lol yeah one shelf is for my books, another is for these projects, spare parts, and tools and paint! especially for my plastic models. -_-"' Usually i just layout two slots for me to do spray painting, but this time round, i have FIVE. there's one more on the swing. zzz a lot to finish up huh? even though they can be stressful at times, i receive great joy after one project is fully completed! :D with the paint scheme all finished up, All the glue or whatsoever is cured and the finishing coat applied on the project, with it in fully working condition! I tell ya the last part is the scariest man. There was this once, when i managed to make it work before painting and after all the handling, by the time i did the finishing coat, for some reason, after i am totally done with the blaster, it refused to work!! RAGE RAGE RAGE.Ah but i cant remember which blaster it is. #signsofaging #whitehairgonnapopoutsoon. BOOK IN TIME. |
