Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! |

I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

HELLOOOOOOO world!! well finally its the weekends once again and after getting my butt kicked in Battlefield 3, i have decided to jump over to blogger for a while. So YEAH. my NS life finally seems to be heading towards brighter ways. :) well just to keep the long story short, this is how its like. After getting really badly injured in Basic Military Training, i ended up with... a right leg that doesnt quite feel like mine but does work not-too-badly. so after that, i got posted to 30SCE. SCE stands for Singapore Combat Engineers. so basically, 30sce = infantry-like engineers. which saw those crazy soldiers in Saving Private Ryan? yeah exactly the same. we do practically EVERYTHING except shoot. so HELLO 600kg bridges! which kinda sucked since i couldnt carry heavy loads with a busted knee. so i became a clerk there. life was pretty hellish with horrible sergeants! i mean come on making their beds for them? long working hours? treated like dirt. zzz....so LUCKILY, i managed to run over to Signals Institute to become a signaller! that was when i started to see "the light". Am really happy that after being a signals trainee for 2months, i have since graduated from there! (BYE 600KG BRIDGES) and assummed the role as a signaller! We were supposed to return back to 30SCE as signallers but i was really really not looking forward to it, as it didnt give me good memories plus the ambience there is just so uptight and its like everyone's getting at each other's throats. THANKFULLYYYYY to my horror (in a good way) hahaha i was posted to 3DA! i think DA stands for Defence Artillery. i got posted there since last wednesday and i must say i AM definitely enjoying life there! its actually ground to air defence. so yeah im a signaller there. 3DA is actually part of the Air Force, so things work really really differently from the Army! no complaints (errr....i contradicted myself), but im just glad to be finally out of that hell hole. ACK speaking of which, i cant post anything about my trip to Desaru, Malaysia just yet as both my card readers refuse to work. no photos, no fun. darn those card readers.... so yeah! in the air force, the people there are not so rank concious, so the sergeants are like your friends! isnt that wonderful?? they talk to you nicely, not condescendingly, and we get quite a lot of welfare! lots of redundancies that we learnt are thrown out and yeah! all they focus on is that just do your job well and you will be fine. Looking into the future, december should be quite a slack month for us? we are still learning how it works out in the air force and the duties that we would have to take over in the future. however when january comes, that is when our UIP, unit induction programme starts and we would be placed under more stringent rules till february comes. but yeah! its just during that period. Ya know, the beds and bedsheets in 3DA are so good, i actually dont mind staying in camp! as in of course during the weekends i would go home, but yeah! sleeping in camp is really nice and comfy the very least! its cooling, its cosy, i couldnt possibly have asked for more! plus i have pretty nice bunkmates! all of us come from Signals Institute and things are still going really smoothly! HAH well on friday, the sergeant let us use the gym in camp and my body is just aching all over right now! its SUCH a chore to like bathe, do any activities. its like your muscles are aching like mad you dont want to move! i really do hope i can really really enjoy myself for the past 1 year ++ of my NS life, hope that everything can go so smoothly! dont know if you guys watch freddiew, but this is a pretty nice video! IMO. hah i just so so so love lindey sterling!!! *heart melts* |
