| Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! | MinimalistI am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such! Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works! I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano. The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice! I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.) Leave a message after the tone Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that. After tomorrow, before today

Saturday, December 12, 2009after reading Vera's blog post, my mind began to zoom in into the nitty gritty details of CAMP BELIEVE... As i continue to indulge in reminiscence of CAMP BELIEVE, i still remember the second night of the camp, when we had our prayer meeting, i thanked God. i thanked Him for allowing me to become so open again :) during the first day of the camp, i remembered i sat quite far behind. all i knew was that i was allocated to Green group. so the crusaders caught my eye! (cuz they were all green!) it was then did i find out i was seating in the wrong group! then later on a girl came up to me and asked me what my name was :) she was wearing a pink jacket, with her face concealed behind her veil of hair, that was Vera. Some time later, Kim came up and helped me pin on the team identity :) ha! by then i already knew Kim, but not Vera. :P before i went for this camp, i didnt talk much in my current school, just a few sentences for a day, contrary to my secondary school days. that was what lowered my self esteem and caused me become more humble and conservative. it was the dinner i had at the hawker centre, the fellowship time i had together with Vera and Benn as we understood each other better, then did i begin to blend in with the Knights. That time was priceless. i thanked Him for guiding me through this year, as i learnt a lot from this fall in my life. through this camp, i was isolated from all the troubles and woes i had from my life. all i had was fun fun fun!! all the team building activities, station games, amazing race, just took away all of my troubles. i thanked Him for the food he has given to us. after watching the documentary Food Inc, then did i realise how important food was to us. i dont know why i thanked Him for food, maybe i was hungryyy!! i thanked Him for City Harvest. ever since i was in primary 2, i was already in a church, but i didnt really take much notice, thanking God for the food i had before every meal..then i joined Church of Singapore. And it was only 2 years ago during christmas, then did i join City Harvest, as i wrapped my arms round my friends on my left and my right. As Pastor Kong continued to encourage more people to go forward for the altar call, then did i take that little step of faith, just that teeny weeny seed faith of mine, as i walked down from the last row of Charlie Terrace, all the way to the front as the whole church waited. just that small seed faith was needed and now i see myself embeded into City Harvest with the DNA in me and as i continue to wake up early to serve every week, i just pray that we can continue to be together in this one big family, going from glory to glory as we expand our capacity to be wonderful testimonies for our Lord!! i thanked him for financial blessings, i thanked him for safety, i thanked him for giving me such a strong-willed cell group leader bernice, i thanked him for wonderful and cheerful friends like nicole who is always so caring, Kim who never fails you and never gives up, Vera who is always as cheerful as a piarie. i thanked him for giving me beauty sleep (even though it felt like only a second) i thanked Him for so much more stuffs...the list never seemed to end.. i thanked Him for Pastor Kong and all the church leaders...the list seemed to be never exhaustive... i dont know why, but i suddenly remeber of all the cheer pratices we had, especially the one at riverwalk.. our practice for the moves, the sequences, the flying ( including the part nicole jumped off my leg, injuring me knee :P ) haha thank you to Kim and Vera for heading all the plans for the cheers!! they are really nice! :D this camp has indeen allowed me to be more open to the world around me, understanding the same world from different aspects. lastly, A BIG THANK YOU TO TEAM KNIGHT for making this camp such a huge success!! every one of us plays a small part and with TEAMWORK, all things are possible!! i will definitely not forget this camp even if its 30 years from now! i cant be too sure, but yeah! all those with sun burns, do rest well! especially Donnie :P my skin is all peeling already man.. one thing is for sure this blog post will never fade away and as the memorabillas remain in my mind forever, I BELIEVE that i can change the world starting from myself, i want to continue putting others before me, serving others and helping those in need, i want to continue putting smiles on everyone's face! i want to be a blessing to as many people as possible! In Jesus name i pray, Amen :) |
