| Proud to be a child of God, a faithful son (I hope lol) a trying to be hardworking student, a part-time worker, a nerf/milsim enthusiast, a crafting and music lover and an awesome friend. to you :) Hope you have an enjoyable time reading about my life, as much as I have fun living it! | MinimalistI am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such! Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works! I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano. The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice! I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.) Leave a message after the tone Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that. After tomorrow, before today

Saturday, June 30, 2012woot i didnt know that its been so long since i updated the blog! sheesh. lazy me. anyway, for my army life, its finally entering a new phase! i am just less than a week from completing BMT training! YESSSS finally i can say goodbye to pulau tekong. :D but one thing that is for sure is that i will miss my friends whom i have made in camp! really really hope i can be posted to OCS.. too bad i have this stupid knee injury! gotta rest so much longer for it to recover... oh but i am finally done with the SAR21 FAIL replica! like seriously i think it was kinda big failure? most likely going to start remodelling it again...sigh. so far, i have been extreeemely busy with life! especially because we are going to pass out, so there are lots of matters to settle, every night we are sleeping so late in camp, and i have been trying to clear my medical status so many times with so many different people! in hopes to try and do at least the last IPPT. but so far, nahhh no one has cleared me. -_-"' well now that i am finally done with a new replica gun, there are 3 choices for me from here on to continue my hobbies. :) 1) replica gun: salvage whatever i have and create a modified replica rifle called the Knight's armament PDW (this is like $0 because i already have the parts.) 2) replica gun: a m16 sniper rifle which i estimate the cost to be...around $200. :( sighhh so expensive. 3) '3D' Magic the Gathering cards. hah these are really fun to make, but requires lots of patience! so far i already made a whole stack of em and the cost to make a few is super low too~! most probably gonna go with option 1 or 3...for now. block leave is coming up, which means i have about 1week of break from army and..probably it would be a good time to start on ZE MASSIVE PROJEKT of option 2. -___- hey but i know option 2 is definitely gonna look GREAT! have a total idea of what exactly i am gonna do already..bad thing is its expensive~! ANYWAY, here is my update on the "fail replica of sar21" here is how i finished up the whole thing! FYI it actually broke during the weekdays when i was in camp when bro used it. the epoxy 2-ton glue fell off. HMMM.... this is my trusted epoxy glue! never failed me till now! up till now i still have no idea how it happened but oh well.. ya gotta mix those 2 tubes together man~ back to the cover! and the weights below~ those are iron weights btw. since fishing weights are wayyy too light. this is my layout configuration for some of the weights on the casing. hmm it wasnt a good configuration as now, i think the butt area is way too heavy..which means the center of gravity point is about...5cm away from where it is supposed to be on the sar21. thats epoxy glue guys. males, please don't start imagining things. :) here comes the barrel! i decided to go with a free floating barrel, since that is also the case for the sar21 i think? first time making it, and i was worried that it would be super flimsy when it was done! but surprisingly, it stayed in really well. :) i also added some weights to thefront grip, so that i can actually account for the weight of the metal barrel for the actual gun! this was a sweet surprise for me,didnt expect it to work out so nice! in terms of the weight distribution. all glued in and ready for the next stage!! *in the mean time* barrel is getting hung up and dried. i did a metallic black spray. awesome-mest stuff ever to use in a replica gun, not just because it adds weight to your rifle, it also creates a more 'sturdy' feel and strengthens the thin plastic casing! super good stuff. i even use this to mend some walls or door frames at home. (y) still putting more and more wall putty~ thats...just about it! for the wall putty stage. lookin' good so far.... now for the excess wall putty that oozes out after screwing back the casings together? use a screwdriver and scrap em off using wires to hold the barrel in place as the other areas begin to dry up, especially this is the part when i glue on the front handle to the replica rifle. OKAY this is what i did for one of those weekends. heh. now i shall continue the other part in another post. woot if not this is gonna be a mammoth post! |
