I am a university student who loves chocolate! Coffee is my best buddy when it comes to taking on my finals. I have a tendency to want to try and do so many different things at once and as a result, I've found my hobbies to be as such!
Nerfing is one of them, but aside from that, I also love arts and craft. I have my own startup, Thumbforlego at: where I sell my works!
I love to do all sorts of crafting, so you will see me uploading posts of my leathercrafts, thumbdrives, replica guns, nerf gun modifications and gundam models! I'm fortunate enough to be blessed by really supportive parents and given the chance to explore many, many parts of the world and try out a plethora of activities. This is also how I discovered my love for film photography, videography and piano.
The film photo above is unedited! My family loves cold countries xD. We managed to catch the northern lights twice!
I've also gotten the chance to experience many of nature's wonders
And my most freezing experience to date: riding a husky ski sled into the sunset (It was -38 to -40 degrees celsius and the huskies were pretty fast.)

Why 36000feetabove? This is the altitude that commercial planes cruise at and I have always loved the view up in the sky, being amongst the sea of clouds. :) Personally, my favourite favourite food has got to be airplane buns! Does anyone else feel the same way?! With a slice of butter and looking out of the window, I have yet to find an experience that can beat that.
After tomorrow, before today

Today, i went to school early, so as to gather at the school's atrium for the Secondary One Adventure Camp, which i volunteered to be an activity senior leader. I borught along my camping bag and gathered round my friends after putting my bag down. I went to chat with them and discuss on what to do at the campsite. Other than that, we joked around nonsensically before having to go for the briefing about the logistics, attendance of the senior leaders. We then proceeded to the hall to join the sec ones. I was then called to help out with the logistics and had to wait for the bus for quite sometime. Upon arriving at the campsite, we unpacked all the equipment we brought and i was assigned the job, ushering the sec 1s to the canteen, where everyone gathered. Mr aljunied then gave a briefing on the domitorries allocationing before telling the sec 1s what was coming up for them. After meeting back at the canteen, the sec 1s proceeded with their activities. Some had to do outdoor cooking while some ate in the canteen. Then the class-bonding activites came in. There was teambuilding games, abseiling, confidence rope course, the walls, nitro crossing, challnge poles and rock wall. I was in charge of the rock wall and i had to wait for 30-60 mins for the group to come as we were free all the while. Me and my friend Kenze, went to take the harnesses and helmets for the sec 1s. We had to belay 6 groups, before finishing the day off.We soon managed finish belaying all the groups at 6 pm sharp, and went back to the storage shed to keep all the harnesses and helmets. after doing so, it was already time for dinner. We were requested by the teachers to help out the students before starting our own dinner. As we were in a rush and had to help out the sec 1s, we decieded to fold the paper used to carry foods into cone shaped "bowls" then we use it as a 2-in-1 bowl to eat and drink. Soon after the sec 1s were done saying their food cheer, they ate up, cleaned up, and washed up, before heading to bed. For us, we had a short debrief by Mr Tan and Wayne. By the time it was done, it was already 3am i think........I was the first one to bathe and as i wanted to sleep fast, i bathed ASAP. (Someone restricted popped into the boy's toilet, but not gonna reveal name.......) haha OK i headed for sleeping bag and strange enough, none of the boys started to bathe yet.......The night was peaceful buy cold.Learnt lesson on not opening the sleeping bag due to laziness. woke up at 5.30am, so as to have sufficient time to wask up and get ready for the upcoming activities for the day. After eating breakfast and doing some warm up exercises conducted by Mr Law, i went to get ready the harnesses and helmets alone as i did not know where Kenze was. It was soon after the goups started to pour in, then did i see Kenze rushing. I had a talk with the instructor chayang, before having to go to the back and hear insructor moomoo's speech he had for all the sec 1s. I was belaying till around 12pm, then did i go for my lunch break. I went to help out the outdoor cooking and after shoving some food and chatting with my friends. The outdoor cooknig was very messy, as the sec 1s did not know what and how to do, therefore the seniors, especcially the group senior leaders had a hard time cleaning up the mess. At 1, i got ready all the equipment needed for my activity: rock wall and waited for the sec 1s to come. Me and kenze continued to belay till 6?? After belaying all the classes, there was one incident that kept afresh on my mind, and that was the time where i belayed this sec 1 and i flew......off the ground. I got quite a shock as so far, after belaying for 6 years, i only flew up once or twice.. The belaying was quite tiring overall and i was sleepy after the belaying ended. I had some chats with PSLs and soon decided to offer help to the night activities before the hiking up Bukit Timah. While climbing up, i was the first , therefore i stepped into the knee-deep mud blindly, resulting in muddy shoes, socks and trackpants. We arrived at a bombed place, filled with trees and rocks. I wanted to have a picture taken, but no one had a camera with them. What a waste! I shall personally visit that place again if there is enough time.Soon after arriving back to the campsite, i had to go backthere again, so as to help the coming groups. After returning the second time, i had no choice but to wait till the next morning, after the mud has dried up , so as to make the job easier with one flick of the shoe. The hike was FAR too short. It should have been much longer, like 3x the distance. After washing up and talking rubbish, i went to sleep IN MY SLEEPING BAG. Soon after doing the cleaning up of the domitories and toilets, we were all set to go back to school for the debrief of the camp to the sec ones. Some seniors helped out with the keeping of the logistics and the rest proceeded to the hall. We soon gathered our bags anh headed to macdonalds for a celebration! AWWWW.... the camp has ended........i was wishing so badly it could extend 2 more weeks!!!! The camp was far too short and i find the time that was given for the sec ones to bond togetther was far too short! I enjoyed myself in the camp, as i got to get a break from studies, get into the nature and have fun with my fellow greenviewans! I hope more of these camps can be organised too! |
